The Beginning of the Counterattack
Due to the invasion of Alaskan troops citizens were forced to head to safer provinces. The counterattack was planned by famous Jernoan General Amos H Smith. He was known for his brutal guerrilla attacks and given command of four infantry divisions and two mechanized divisions for the planned counterattack against the empire of Alaska. Meanwhile the fleet stationed in the Galápagos Islands reached the Californian coastline and the carriers that were sent to Hawaii along with their convoy were tasked to destroy anything that would help the Alaskan war effort. The Submarines were tasked to find and sink any enemy ship. While Jernoan Forces prepares for the counter attack, three infantry divisions along with one mechanized division invaded the Alaskan provinces in Mexico. The Jernoan Gulf Fleet also reached the Panama Canal which is controlled by Pacyfik. The Jernoan Government requested permission for the Jernoan Navy to cross the canal which the ships were headed for the front lines. The invasion which happened near the Californian-Oregon border sent waves of alarms throughout the Government. They quickly ordered the counterattack to begin. The Taskforce of ships led by the JNS Winnipeg arrived near the invasion site and fired their artillery rounds upon the invaders. This lasted for 15 minutes. After that the order to engage was given throughout the ranks. Using a encircling maneuver against the Alaskan troops General Amos H. Smith led the attack. Armed with M16s and supported by M60 Pattons and M224 Chafee and Ontos M50A1. With their job done the fleet from the Galapagos were now tasked to find and engage the enemy fleet which would be nearby. The Air Force was tasked to bomb Alaskan factories in their mainland and in Mexico. The Air Force sent several divisions led by B-36 Peacemakers and escorted by P-51 Mustangs and F-16 Phantoms. The war had only begun. Only time will tell if the Jernoan effort will turn in favor for the nation of Jerno.
