Critical Infrastructure, pt. 5
With trade burgeoning between the port of Erie and the Reich, the need for better transportation infrastructure between Erie and the rest of the RAR trade network has become readily apparent. General Winchester has contracted Ivan Industries to rebuild the railroad between Pittsburgh and Erie, utilizing the ancient line that runs past the city of Butler. In addition, the Interstate 79 will be rebuilt to service road traffic between the two towns.

General Winchester has also finally heeded his quartermaster general's advice and authorized the opening of a second munitions plant farther away from the Federation-RAR frontier. After capturing a number of Nukalurk specimens for the Lupin Project and clearing out the rest, the engineers have begun work carefully retrieving all the spilled Nuka Quantum and converting the plant for heavy munitions production.

Authorization has also been given to Colonel Morgaine to go ahead and begin work on converting the RobCo robobrain facility into a Reserve Control Station as part of the top-secret Contingency plan. He was authorized to hire locals to fill in the gaps in materials and worksmanship as needed.

And finally, General Winchester has stopped the production of the Liberator Mk 2s, pending a review to determine their role in the Eastern Command's BCT unit structure and battle rhythm. Engineers at Fujinaya are looking into creating specialized variants for reconaissance, communications, and raiding.
