IN ROUTE TO ALASKA

Nancy sighs upon hearing that no one has to risk venturing outside the plane. She slowly turns around and somberly puts the tether back into the case. After a few minutes of flying, the sky slowly begins to clear up, and finally they leave the storm behind. Below, everyone gets a good view of the Canadian Wasteland. Large, barren fields are the dominant sight, with remains littered across the landscape. Smoke rises from the settlements of other survivors and bands of raiders. In the distance, the Wasteland slowly begins to transition to a more lively wilderness.

Nancy - "By my calculations, we should be arriving in Alaska within three hours."

The crew can rest easy for now, the immediate danger is gone. However, the pilots notice they still cannot make contact with Anette back at the Mansion. It seems long-range communications have been cut off. For now, they will have to rely solely on Nancy on their mission to Alaska.

Cindy turns the plane around again and charts a course around the storm. The detour wasn't going to be as bad as she feared - but they would still need to land immediately upon reaching Anchorage.

Speaking of Anchorage, the Rig was supposed to have sent a team ahead to secure the site and provide them some logistical backup. She wonders if they'd arrived by now.

"Hey, Elena, you wanna try and see if the Rig's reinforcements showed up yet?" she calls back.

"Sure," she responds. She fires up the console and, after a few moments of waiting for the dish to locate the satellite beacon, picks up the receiver. "Anchorage, this is Patriot 2, do you read me, over?"
