All that we can "own" are our nation's dominion over the fantasy we RP and spin. (Perhaps Max Berry owns our words /irl) The Embassy is not so much an Antarctic tundra but a pantheon without monument. We, that is you and I, (perhaps the royal 'we'), are part of something that hasn't purpose but to express the philosophical claims toward utopian accomplishment. The soul of humanity, although often here virtual, permeates from the words outward toward real human eyes. It is a rash of quiet intercommunication. That intrinsically is the magic of The Embassy.
Nationstates is what you make of it. Some like being the creators of spam. (some are trolls and raiders that are just... odious) Others, such as Lady Vera of The Principality of Demonos, shoot for the stars. There has been pushback, Mr. Palmer. As, most certainly, there must always be. I like awards in The Cable, for example. I look forward to the monthly Cable from The ambassadors reception et al. because I believe it is a well made mechanism to push others to converse and earn its rankings. Don't you think so? Or is it spam to you?
You are right, multi posting and not waiting your turn is a bit rude. Yet, it serves to know who is really desperate and lonely.
Now then, We, The Minister of The Demonos Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the backing of my Lady Vera; the sovereign principality; do, honestly, take NS RP serious, BECAUSE, writing a good enjoyable story is fun. We believe in fair play, opportunity to debate differences in policy and perspective, and we will combat those who tread on liberties such as equality, freedom, and individual expression: amongst some. We stand for something.
