After 16 months of work, the National Government inaugurated a new bullet train line, which will connect Nklandia Metropolitan City with Nort Port Royal City (the second largest city in Nikoland Piczi). The aim of the work is to provide a new alternative for efficient, ecological and fast transport: in just 3 hours you can travel from the south to the north of the country, an extension of more than 2000 km. The government investment was more than 8.7 billion dollars and among the expenses were new railway units, new stations and a new electronic system for buying tickets at each station. In addition, each station has solar roofs, allowing for self-sufficiency in energy. The railway units are 100% electric and are charged with energy from green sources.
In this regard, President Sarah Huntington remarked that "the railway expansion will be crucial to expedite the movement of passengers and goods between the north and south of the nation, minimizing costs and maximizing transportation efficiency". In addition, she pointed out that trains can transport up to 30,000 tons of goods, equivalent to 1,500 trucks, thus reducing the environmental impact of CO2 emissions generated by these trucks. This is another important step taken by Nikoland Piczi to protect the environment, along with its policies of promoting renewable energy, recycling plastics and rubbish in general, designing compost for organic material, banning plastic bags and fines for pollution on the public highway. In this way, we are creating an environmentally conscious population and the importance of preserving the world.
