Region: Soviet Democracy

Technocratic union of britain

Caribbean, 1980
Claim-5 free provinces

Early this morning, British financial interests in the Caribbean were threatened after a military junta came into power in the nation of panama. This sudden revolution by a nationalist force has destabilised the region and has threatened British trade. The military Junta appears to be nationalising the industries which is harming British financial institutions and industries greatly.

In an effort to protect the economy, The High Chancellor issued a secret message while still on his visit to The Lightning Rod Federation to the war office to begin an immediate military intervention of the affected regions in the Caribbean. Such a move in the political climate of the Americas and with the up coming London conference will make the air tense indeed but the High Chancellor agrees that Britain's financial interests must be protected at all costs.

At 06:00, the royal navy out of the British naval facility on the island nation of Korpar begun an immediate course towards panama, Jamaica and Columbia. All docks controlled by the military junta will be blockaded and military facilities will be shelled. The royal air force begun bombing campaigns against the junta as royal marines took spearhead landings on the coasts of the affected regions. After 1 and a half days of fighting, the attempted junta was destroyed before it even got it's wings into the air. Martial law will be temporarily issued and the "colonies will now be integrated into the new British Empire.

With the panama canal, Northern Cuba, Jamaica and some of Columbia now under British control, Britain will now have a monopoly over trade in the Americas, especially the Caribbean.
