well, our in-game opinion is far different from my ooc views. we believe that high corruption and the withdrawal of civil rights could be bad for your people, as it leads to the deaths of more skilled workers and laborers who aren't able to legally express their opinions for their government. in short, in a way, free countries can be more efficient, however even in a free country one must be strict concerning things such as immigration from other nations, as too much multiculturalism being introduced to a nation at once can lead to rapid polarization, corruption, and eventually the death of your nation. what we recommend is a balance of the two: remain in place as a dictatorship, but stay more on the democratic side with civil rights: not just will your people grow to appreciate you outside of propaganda, but having freedom of expression means you get all sorts of talented people, with diverse opinions on your side, after all, it takes longer to search for skilled laborers who share the same opinion as the next.

altogether, i'd say you've got a 7/10 for efficiency, and a 10/10 for the nation in general - just heed by my advice - perhaps something good can come out of it.
