The Rebel Alliance were fighting to restore a historically corrupt leadership that ruled for millennia. The Jedi were the source of the Galaxy's worse crises. And it's pretty obvious: all the Star Wars movies are biased to the Rebels and the Resistance.

Give some love to Grievous and Uncle Palps.

There's a reason John Williams made the themes of the CIS and the Republic so eerily similar. That's because Palpatine is controlling both from behind the scenes showing how corrupted the Republic has become. The corruption in the Republic is of course why the CIS becomes so popular.

And Darth Vader. He lived in slavery, and the Republic didn't do anything about it. The Rebellion was fighting to restore a corrupt government.

The TIE Fighter wing is the Separatist Emblem as well.

But really, the Rebel Alliance is fighting to restore a failed government and the protection of the galaxy's worst warmongers in milennia.

Gonna have to agree, honestly. That was what I liked about the prequels, for all their horrid mistakes and flubs they portrayed a falling empire where the bad guys legitimately had a point, and the contrast between that and the black and white of the OT and sequels is really cool.

Many people have multiple islands. Some countries are together on one island. Just because there are 1800 nations doesn't mean 1800 islands. Too many people fail to understand this

And there may be uninhabited/unclaimed islands. Maybe some of them are just pieces of rock.

Yes. I myself failed to realized the CIS' and the Empire's true intentions in the first place. Basically, they want us to say "Jedi good! Grievous and Palpatine bad!" They weren't evil as we thought. They were actually enforcing authority, something the Republic never did to slave planets.
