Venvee Republic (/vɛniː / VEN-vi) commonly shortened to VR, is an island nation. The nation covers 2,789,654 square miles (7,225,171 square kilometers) and has a total population of around 4 billion. It is a federation of 96 provinces and a special one building capital district. Beyond the mainland it claims sovereignty over one major offshore territory, and a few uninhabited islands.

Seafaring peoples first discovered the island over 2,500 years ago. The island was colonized in the east by the merchant nation Gulago in the late 1500s to early 1600s. Later, local inhabitants clashed with unfair tax laws and army/naval impressment, and revolted in 1702. For 15 years the Venveeian Knighthood took over. The local inhabitants eventually revolted over constant warfare and military impressment, and instituted a monarchy. in 1717, after the Tourus Rock Incident, the monarchy was overthrown and a Democracy was instituted. in the early 1960s, the nation went down a long road of decline as politicians made promises, and did nothing, instead choosing to take bribes and engage in corruption. in 2019, a major party change took place by President Starline. The constitution was rewritten, and a Republic was established in place of the stagnant democracy, which brought the nation up to speed with the modern times. In 2022, the VRSP established the Venveeian Alcyoneus colony, which currently holds roughly 20 nations.

The government is officially a Republic, but has a heavy theocratic tint to it. The government is divided into 3 branches: Executive, legislative, and judicial. The legislative branch is bicameral. It contains the upper house, the House of Representatives, which provinces are represented by population. And the lower house, the Senate, which each province gets 3 representatives. Each province has a notable degree of autonomy, which emphasizes equal protection under law and individualism.

The nation is considered to be highly industrialized, with a disposable income higher than that of the United States. It is competitive in the field of vehicles, as well as steel and oil manufacture. It is in the top 5% for least corrupt governments and nicest citizens.

Etymology

The name "Venvee" is tributed to the Gulago noble Karnasis Venvee. The king of Gulago owed the Venvee family a debt. He agreed to repay Karnasis by offering him to be the first to colonize the Venveeian subcontinent. Karnasis actively drummed up support and equipment by touring the nation, and eventually set off with 8 ships. They landed in 1564, in which Karnasis named the colony after himself - Venvee.

The first use of Venvee in the name of the nation comes from a letter that Starline (then a history professor) sent to the President John Lancer, asking for multiple reforms, and creating a new "Federation of provinces around Venvee." President Lancer responded by publicly denounced the letter, which caused uproar in the capital of Venvee. Starline became an unlikely spearhead of the movement, and was urged to run for president. He won in a record landslide, earning 91.8% of the popular vote, and famously requested that the presidential votes counters be selected by a random lottery in the 2018 presidential debate. Lancer agreed reluctantly, knowing he can't bribe the people counting them. Upon his entry into office, he wrote a long series of new laws and changes, one of them was changing the nation name to "Venvee Republic".

The standard demonym is officially "Venveeian". However, people of Esther ethnicity often are referred to as "Estherian". "Roselindic" or "Roszilindic" is an common but outdated demonym. Then there is the much older and more obscure "Vauserian" demonym, but it is scantily used.

History

Indigenous Peoples (~120 BC-1564 AD)

Before the island was found and colonized, early seafaring people called the island home. It is unknown when the island was first discovered, or how many individual cultures called it home, but there were believed to be at least 5 major tribes. The earliest known are the Aracons, which is believed to be the first inhabitants of the island around the Port Devē. They held a large portion in the northwest until they collapsed into a rump state, releasing the Cols, a little to the northeast of the Aracons, Canisans, who lived on the central west bank of the Calc river, and Estherians, a mountain tribe that lives on to this day. The 5th tribe, know as the Paravells, once lived on the island, but later evacuated south to the Srivyinjava island group. There were also numerous smaller tribes, like the Acers, Varcells, and much later the Kalurans, but they are often considered to insignificant.

What is known about this day and age is mostly recorded through ancient Estherian Hieroglyphics, and scant Aracon tablets. It is believed that a seismic event, now called "The Great Shift", was responsible for the collapse of the island tribes. Measuring anywhere between 7.9 to 9.1 on the Richter scale, it was powerful enough to reroute major rivers and fused the small Venvee Plate to the larger North Ocean plate. The Aracons and Cols entered a steady decline until they appeared to have collapsed. The Canisans slowly declined, and were abandoned. A sect of the Canisans, now called the Kalurns, emigrated to what is now Studvar and died off. The Paravells left the island for Srivyinjava, but died off as the could not support their population with fresh drinking water. Only the Acers and Estherians survived. The Acers thrived until they collapsed under mysterious circumstances, probably due to a large storm. The Estherians would call the mountainous center home, and eventually turned into a kingdom that kept to the mountains up until there discovery by colonizers.

Colonization (1564-1702)

The island was rediscovered by Gulago merchants that lost their way, and was officially colonized by Gulago with the Venvee Colony, now Venvee, in 1564. It was later followed by the Calonia Charter, in the north of the upper Venveeian peninsula in 1582. It was later followed by the Averian colony in 1601. As word spread, a second merchant nation called Pacero dumped all their money in the Port Devē Colony in 1609. A third nation, Tesou, established 2 colonies - the Studzen Colony in 1612 and the Cadele Colony in 1618.

As the colonies expanded, the island was divided into 3 parts. The east consisted of Roseland (ROSZ-lind), which was controlled solely by the Venvee colony. In the west was Tobauc (TOE-bok), consisting of the Pacero and Tesou colonies. In the Middle were the Estherians, which huddled to the mountains and clashed with the colonies. The earliest colonists took adventage of the Evrershin forest, full of durable wood often used in shipbuilding. Overtime the plants for violet dye, alongside some rare medicines, were grown in mass quantities. People explored inland for furs and more farmland. Over the decades, the Venvee Colony became more industrialized and populated. The distance from the mainland allowed the government to become self-governing.

Revolution (1702)

At this time, the Gulago king was well known to be greedy. He saw riches in the Venvee Colony, and would stop at nothing to get them. The colony was taxed heavily, sometimes up to 80% of the average person's revenue. Gulago also moved half their colonial fleet to Venvee Bay, as it was by now an excellent naval construction and repair yard. They decided to fulfil the army and navy needs by impressing men whom were found capable to work in the armed forces. From 1698-1702, the inhabitants were continually impressed and taxed to the point the colony developed a deficit. By 1702, the populace had enough. Leo Akosta I, the only general present in Venvee, led an army of 7,000 disgruntled soldiers and upset peasants, at what is now called the Battle of the Docks, on the 2nd of February. Akosta surrounded and captured the Naval fleet docked there, hijacking 6 battleships. Many sailors defected to the cause.

Word made it back to the Gulago court, who sent 12,000 soldiers to quell the revolt. However they were not informed of the hijacked battleships. The transports were spotted by fisherman, who then sent word back to Akosta. Akosta asked the Venveeian Knighthood, who were supplying manpower and weapons to the war effort, to orchestrate a defense against the transports. It was decided to face the transports head on with brute force.

The fleets met at the Battle of Morso Reef, in which the near defenseless transports ultimately were massacred, not having the firepower of the battleships that met them. It is unsure why the transports did not retreat at the sign of the enemy ships, but it was likely due to the fact that they simply did not know, believing them to be friendly ships.

Upon word of the massacre of Morso Reef, and of the sheer firepower of the navy, Gulago backed down in its reintegration efforts. The entire war lasted 8 months. It ended on what is now Independence Day on September 30th, 1702.

Venveeian Knighthood Control (1702-1717)

Immediately after the revolutionary war, the colony found itself no longer united by colonial control, and fractured into different nation states, often ruled by councils. Venvee became one of the new nations, but it was ran by the Venveeian knights - a militant organization that served as the special forces. They still exists today, as a sort of cult like group, but also teach the Venveeian martial arts and sword casting. This organization took control, enlisted all men of fighting age, and sought on a 15 year campaign to integrate the old Venvee colony. However, most nations they conquered saw their revolt a few months later. Most cited their rampant enlistment and warmongering nature as the reason. After 15 years of endless war, the the residents of Venvee Republic stormed government offices and the capitol building on what is now known as Venvee Knighthood Independence Day, or VKI Day, on October 12, 1717.

Monarchy Control (1717-1722)

About a week of deliberation and confusion, the war torn nation was left leaderless. Eventually a group of prominent people in Venvee appointed a King - a Gulago noblemen named Tisyrus Vauser was crowned on October 22nd, who claimed was the great, great grandson of Karnasis Venvee. Whether it is true is unknown. Many excepted this new king, as Tisyrus was a leading voice in toppling the Venveeian Knight regime. He allowed most of the army to head home, and took the professional standing army and began to reintegrate the old Venvee Colony, just as the Venveeian Knights did. However his conquests tended to stick, as the lands he integrated often had an economic boost from being in a larger nation. He reigned for 5 years, but it came to an end when he was in the south of the country outside of Topple. He was running low on supplies, and requested that a noblemen named John Seklesh give his army supplies, to which the nobleman politely refused. King Tisyrus then sent a demand for supplies. Seklesh again refused, and requested help from his estate to bear arms, as he feared a military raid. And he was right, as King Tisyrus then started marching to Seklesh's home. Seklesh marched out to confront Tisyrus, and the met at Tourus Rock. They were massacred, and all of Seklesh's forces, which numbered around 500, were executed. This caused an uproar in the nation. General Leo Akosta I, who was still a general, rallied the army against King Tisyrus, and executed him on November 4, 1722, now known as Monarchy Independence Day, or MI Day. However King Tisyrus had a son, Prince Tisyrus II. Akosta decided that the Vauser dynasty would continue to live on in the royal palace they had planned on building, but as a figurehead only. He encouraged the Vauser dynasty to be a rallying point, a level head in the chaos. To this day the royal family lives in the Vauser Estate as figureheads. The current king is Autaris Vauser.

Democratic rule & Westward Expansion (1722-1735)

On November 6, 1722, group of notable Venveeians, sick and tired of all the chaos that the knights and monarchy caused, decided to end the cycle and install a democracy. They adopted a Confederation, underneath the Darsoland Constitution. The confederation approach gave the provinces lots of power, while the government had close to none. The rules in the constitution were flimsy. New provinces could be created on a whim, large families became insanely powerful. By the time the larger provinces adopted a new, different currency, the government became disjointed. And it was only 3 years in. By the 4th year, the founders decided the Darsoland Constitution was a complete mess, and scraped it for the Second Darsoland Constitution. Adopting a more Federal approach, giving the government more power than the states, things finally stabilized. The current currency was introduced, tariffs imposed, labor and housing laws passed. Roseland became ahead of their time in quality of life.

But by now, over the ten years of building and repair that had passed, a question of expansion was raised: How to unify the island? At first, the idea was proposed of conquering the Esther Kingdom. But in 1733, the then Minister of Defense Jackxon Denseluric proposed to Estherian King Jiornoru Kolponosko the 1733 Oronius Treaty. The Oronius Treaty allowed the integration of the Kingdom of Esther into Roseland, whilst keeping a lot of autonomy. King Jiornoru Kolponosko, tired of the neighboring colonies trying to integrate his kingdom, and knowing that they will inevitably outpace Esther technologically, excepted after some negotiations. On June 8th, 1733, The kingdom of Esther was integrated into Roseland. The Kolponosko Dynasty was allowed to rule as figureheads to the Estherian people.

2 years later, the old colonies of Port Devē and Cadele. They were now independent, but barely alive. In 1735, both of the Port Devē and Cadele nations crashed economically. Jackxon Denseluric, who is still Minister of Defense, proposed the 1735 Tiavoruk treaties. On July 18th, both of the Port Devē and Cadele colonies received the treaties, which basically read "Integrate with Roseland or be invaded". Port Devē excepted the terms on the 20th, Cadele excepted 2 days later. The island was now unified as Roseland & Tobauc, and a new land was ready to be explored.

First Pleasure Era (1735-1872)

The aptly named "Pleasure Era" is a large chapter in Venveeian History. It is a time of economic development, mostly due to the "lucky streak", a series of discoveries that led to a rampant and out of control growth in the economy and population. The start is often contributed to the first global arms race, as many nation bought up Venveeian wood in mass quantities. Later a plant was found that could help fight against most symptoms of the common cold, alongside a large demand surge for purple dye. A few years later, mining companies ventured into the Estherain mountains, and found large amounts of coal, which was needed to feed the nations factories. As they dug for coal, they found copper - something needed to build boilers and components. As they dug for copper, the found some areas full of silver and gold. And then they dug deeper to reach said silver and gold, and then the found the real treasure - Iron. Lots and lots of Iron. Right in the opening years of industrialization. The Estherians got crazy rich mining for iron, and then taking that iron and turning it into steel. Steel that was used in factories, to build railways, and for skyscraper construction.

However, this comes at a cost - the population boomed uncontrollably. Venvee, in 1755, had a population of 530,000. By 1775, it was at 3.3 million, in 20 years flat. By the 1850s, the country could no longer control it's population. The nation experienced a housing crisis, food shortages, spike in crime, terrible living conditions, and a shortage of hospitals. By 1868, Immigration was bared, and the government sent inspectors to try fix things. But then in 1872, the explosive economic growth came to an end. The stock market crash of 1872 is often attributed to giving the nation room to breath.

The First Depression (1872-1906)

The First Depression is the era in which Roseland & Tobauc tried to rebuild itself. To start off the food crisis needed solving. The government decided to sell land to farmers producing food in the north plains. Overnight many prairie towns emerged, all connect by rail lines to major cities. The food was the processed and package. The food was then sent to ships - a lot of them. Thousands of "food floaters", or 500 grt. steamships crowded the Venveeian Harbour every day delivering food. By 1879, the housing crisis was next. The government, after revamping housing laws, encouraged the construction of skyscrapers for people to live in. Not to mention multiple old row houses were revitalized to livable condition. Enough housing units were built to tend to the growing population by 1891, and immigration started back up again. Attention then shifted to hospitals. Entirely new hospitals were built, large enough to break records in there size. There were a total of 512,000 hospital beds by 1900. The last ten years were on crime rate. Although fixing the last 3 problems reduced crime rate substantially, and update in police codes stamped out the crime rate to expectable levels. By 1906, The stock market had recovered and was booming again.

Second Pleasure Era (1906-1964)

The second pleasure era was Roseland & Tobauc moving with the times. As the world trotted along, Roseland & Tobauc seemed to look like the perfect place to live. A place of pleasure and fun. Immigration and birthrates slowly grew, and skyscrapers grew taller. Cities got bigger. In 1943, legislation was passed to give cites a comprehensive transport system, like a highway system, subways, commuter aircraft, ferries, and high speed trains. The nation seemed lost in an opulence that only it had. It could even be said that Roseland & Tobauc reached Utopia status. People looked at it as an example of what life could look like. But then, on January 1st, 1965, reality hit them like a truck at full bore.

The R&T - Comintern War (1964-1982)

The big one. The war to end all wars. The sole reason why Roseland & Tobauc entered decline. Earlier, 3 nations in the east - Ur, Ar, and Beylino - adopted a government style called "Dokrisism". The hellspawn of a communist and fascist utopia. They all wore black, saluted black flags, and wanted to spread the ideology around the world. The looked at Roseland & Tobauc, that shining city on a hill, and wanted it for its resources. The declared war on New Years 1965. It came to a shock of Roseland & Tobauc, who were still lost in their opulence. But when Comintern ships challenged Roselandic naval supremacy, they went into a full on war mode. They immediately started fighting and capturing enemy ships, and then headed straight to the enemy's land and conducted a naval invasion by 1967. By 1968, the were in eyeshot of the Arnian capital.

But then they entered stagnant warfare outside the Arnian capital. They tried gunning for the Urnian capital in the summer of 1968, but the enemy slowed their advance to a crawl, and they arrived at the Urnian capital in 1971. They Roseland & Tobauc then tried to head east into Ar and west into Ur to catch other major cities, but they got bogged down. By 1974 The made it to the Arnian coast, and to the Urnian coast in 1976. They then decided to head to Bylino, the small farming nation, and knock it out of the war. But the R&T army overstretched itself. They made it with 100 miles of the Bylino capital in 1979, but they could not advance any further.

The remainder of the war, those last 3 years, is Roseland & Tobauc slowly retreating in the most painful way. At each turn the army thought they found a breakthrough and could win the war, but only to be blindsided by something. By 1982, R&T was repelled out if the Comintern. But in the process caused significant damage to the comintern pact, and so they signed a white peace. The treaty was signed on March 7, 1982.

The Second Depression (1982-2019)

The Second Depression is the fallout of the R&T - Comintern war, and the vast amount of corruption that was generated with it. Presidents stopped trying to fix anything, instead choosing to take kickbacks an hush money. The company slowly but surely fell apart, and the mafia grew to dominate the 80's and 90's, to the point they all formed on giant coalition. By the early 2000s, it all fell apart. Food prices rose, housing crisis began, crime spiked beyond belief. A huge cloud of depression seemed to hang over the nation. The army was "rebuilt" for future conflicts, but overall was technologically stagnant. Government owned companies became the norm. The nation was slowly grinding to halt. The children of the Second Pleasure now grew up in the Second Depression dystopia. People wanted change. And all it needed was an innovative thinker, and a loudmouth politician.

Contemporary (2019-)

The Contemporary era started when Starline, a History Professor at Venvee Republic University, sent a letter to then President John Lancer. The letter, one of many often sent, called for large government reforms. Lancer grew tired of receiving such letters. However, this one was from a prominent professor. Lancer took the opportunity both discredit Professor Starline, and shut the populace up to get them to stop asking for reforms. He publicly denounced the letter to no end.

The attempted humiliation of Professor Starline backfired spectacularly. People rioted, tearing down government offices out of rage and spite from being told there would be no reform. Starline also made the letter public, and it served as a sort of manifesto of what needs to happen. However, they were leaderless. Many pushed a reluctant Starline to run for President, and he eventually gave in. But there is a problem - the government is corrupt. The vote counters would be in Lancer's pocket. But then Starline suggested in the presidential debate that the votes should be counted by people selected by a lottery. President Lancer said the idea was absurd, but he could not be heard over the audience cheering for for Starline. Lancer was forced to cave, and knowingly kissed his presidential career goodbye. He tried to stall Starline's inauguration for as long as possible, successfully doing so for a year. But when Starline was inaugurated, it was game over.

Starline spent his Career rewriting everything. He pushed through an absurd amount of paperwork to fix the economy, break up monopolies, stamp out corruption, and bring the military up to snuff. He established the VRSF, and colonized the largest galaxy ever discovered - Alcyoneus. ¹Starline also entered talks with Aquachromia in order to station troops there. This allowed Aquachromia to be protected while being able to disarm their own military. It is hard to imagine how fast progress happened when Starline was elected. Things changed overnight. Venvee Republic now punches well above its weight in every category.

In the early hours of June 12, 2024, Sky Marshall Jonathan Rico helped Venvee Republic in coordinating an attack on an island group, dubbed Anglesey, was quickly attacked and conquered the terrorist group Al-Ceada. The attack lasted less than a day, and by the end of it, Venvee Republic controlled the island group - and a foothold on Terra. The landmass is now called Yisbyty Ifan, and has a naming convention based around old Welsh names (slightly Anglicized to be more pronounceable). In late June 2024 Venvee Republic, in collaboration with Hootsby and The World Defense Organization, have a mutual agreement to help each other take their claims in the Solar System.

Geography

Venvee Republic is about 2.8 million square miles in size. The East coastal plain is heavily urbanized by the capital and largest city, Venvee, particularly around Venvee Bay. The East Coastal Plain is often recognized as anything west of Auwlo and Taparstin rivers. In general, the coastal plain has an average height of 59 ft., and is no higher than 139 ft. at it's highest point.

To the northeast is the Great North Plain, situated between the Calc and Auwlo rivers. The Great North Plain is the island's wheat basket, and mostly contains farm towns connected by a railroad to the cities. The Great North Plain is relatively flat, with an average height of 306 ft, and rises to 466 ft. at it's highest point

In the center of the island, there are 2 formations. First there is the Parkration Plateau. The Parkration Plateau is an abrupt rise from the rest of the landscape, and is mostly inhabited by sheep herders, and some farmers producing specialized crops. the average height is around 854 ft., and tops out at 906 ft. at it's highest point.

Next is the Endinridge Mountains, famous for being sharp and jagged with abrupt climbs and falls. It is the ancient home of the Estherian people, which carved out cities in the mountain faces. The mountains are also rich in Iron ore, alongside other ores, and has been mined extensively. It is one of the more extravagant places to visit, ast it has large populations in a nearly inhospitable landscape.

In the south is the Cadele Peninsula, named after the city that resides in it. The peninsula is very shallow, with an average height of 96 ft., and rises to 106 ft. at it tallest. To the East are the South Keys, a series of islands about the size of Puerto Rico at their largest, that extends far east into the sea. Both locations are vacation hotspots, mostly vacationers visit from Venvee, which sits on shallow 4 to 6 feet cliffs instead of a traditional beach coastline.

in the South West is the Great South Plain, which is mostly a smaller copy of the Great North Plain. The Great South Plain is not heavily urbanized, an is mostly where the islands dyes and herbal medicines are grown from. The area has an average height of 298 ft., and rises to 376 ft. in total.

in the Midwest portion of the nation is the... well the Venveeian equivalent of the Midwest. Often referred to as the Benkirk plain, named after the river, is the most rural part of the nation. Isolated rancher towns litter the landscape, and the area is carved up by multiple small tributaries, which often are the source of water for most ranches. it is also really flat, with an average height of 252 ft., with its' highest point at 342 ft.

In the far west is the Devē plain, named after Port Devē. The area is often acquainted as the "Venvee of the West." It has a bay, Devē Bay, and is enclosed mostly by an island chain. The area has a traditional beach coastline, unlike the east, and is nowhere near as urbanized. It has an average height of 102 ft., and rises to 187 ft. at it's highest point.

Climate

Despite its size, Venveeian climate is very uniform. The east is predominantly an Oceanic type climate, which loops around to the north and south of Venvee Republic. The mountainous center is a complex mixture of warm-summer humid continental, warm-summer Mediterranean continental, and dry-summer subarctic.

The Parkration Plateau is the nation's tornado hotspot, with an average of 8 tornados per year, although most are harmless and do no damage. The south west is prone to severe storms and hurricanes, which is partially why it is not very populated.

Government and Politics

Venvee Republic is a Federal Republic. It consists of 96 provinces, 4 oversee territories, and a one building capital district. The republic is a representative democracy, or majority rule is protected by law, and is elected by a direct democracy. Or in other news, whoever gets the most votes wins. The 2nd Darsoland Constitution outlines the powers of the 3 branches of government.

National Government

The Venveeian government is composed of 3 branches, all of which are headquartered in capital district. It is regulate by a system of checks and balances.

• The Executive Branch is composed of the President an the Members of Cabinet. There is a total of 18 cabinet members, which are tasked with overseeing, administering and enforcing laws their respective agencies and advising the President when needed. They are appointed by the President. The President is the leader of the nation, and runs alongside a Vice President. The President has the power to veto legislative bills and is one of 2 Commander-in-Chiefs alongside the Secretary of Defense. The President serves, despite most nations, serves indefinitely. Each year a vote is casted by the populace on whether the president can keep his role, and only when there is a 60% majority or more, the president loses his job and a new election starts. The Vice President serves as long as the President does, and may take over when the President needs him to (like undergoing surgery) in order to keep weapons ready to react when needed to. The Vice President can also step in should the President feel like taking a holiday (which he or she has the option to take a 4 day holiday once a month). The Vice President can also become acting President should the Previous President passes away or is impeached. Both President and Vice President serve as long as their terms last.

• The Venveeian Congress is a bicameral legislature, with the upper house the House of Representatives and the lower house the Senate. The Senate has 288 members (3 per province) and are elected every 5 years, and can serve an endless amount of terms. The Senate can Declare war, approve treaties, have the power to impeach, and hold power of the purse. The House of Representatives has 1,000 members and are proportioned by the population of each province. They create and pass federal laws, alongside appointing Federal Judges.

• The Venveeian Judiciary are 10 judges who are appointed by the House of Representatives. They serve for life, but can be impeached. They interpret laws and can overturn laws they find unconstitutional. Its lead by the Venveeian Chief Justice, who is the longest serving judge.

Political Parties

Of the main political parties, each party has the same system of getting a representative. Each party holds a conference in which the president nominees hold a debate, in which the best is chosen to run for office. They are chosen by the masses, and are often televised.

Venvee Republic has 3 main political parties: the current party in power is the Utopian Party, which is by far the most popular. The Utopian party was born when the old establishment no longer listened to the populace, and the Utopian Party was born in order to "pursue perfection." Then there is the Resolute Party, which is often conservative and clings to old traditions. The third is the Progressivism Party, which is the more liberal of the three, but since the ascension of Utopian Party into power, the Progressivism Party has gotten extremely radical, and it is often debated how long the party has to last.

In the Venveeian Federal System, sovereign power is divided between nation and province. The province is further divided into counties, and then city municipalities. People elect local representatives which administer the province/county/municipality they were elected to.

The Venveeian GDP is 46 Trillion USD. It is a large exporter of both raw resources and finished products, as it retains both natural resource productions and industrial products. It remains a very competitive industrial power and also is a very competitive service export market. Venvee makes great strides in the fields of steel manufacture, coal and oil production, computers and technology, and vehicle manufacture - ships in particular.

Venvee's largest trading partner is Venveeian Alcyoneus, alongside general 10000 Islands trade. Trade nets Venvee Republic around 10 trillion USD.

Venveeian employees earn around 96,086 VN, and income equality is distributed evenly. The Venveeian Currency, VN, is also very valued - 1 USD = 1.01 VN.

Venveeian welfare works by redistributing income from richer families to poorer ones. It is also one of the few nations where 30 days of paid vacation is guaranteed by law for any job.

Science, Technology, and Energy

Methods including the introduction of interchangeable parts in the early 1800s kickstarted Venveeian industrialization massively, as it coincided with the time massive iron deposits where found. by the 1840s, large scale manufacturing was common, and Venvee started the first to enter the late pleasure era. At the end in the 1st pleasure era, the assembly line was introduced, but Venveeian industry would disappear in the first depression. Venveeian industry made a comeback after the end of the first depression, as the electrification of factories and other labor cutting techniques took place, and Venvee Republic was now able to undergo mass production. In the late 50's, VR started a space program, and made it to the moon by the 70's. In the early 2000s, a way was found to make carbon neutral coal via mass HTC machines. Coal is used in the railroad and shipping industry. In 2021, by abusing a bunch a theories in astronomy and mathematical principles, the VR launched the Venveeian Alcyoneus colony.

On May 14, 2020, it was decided to dump lots of money into advancing Venvee Republic technologically. It is unsure to what extent it will go on, but many are certain that the nation will change permanently. The next day, dinosaurs were resurrected and live in contained areas. Many were shipped to Venvee Alcyoneus to repopulate on a terraformed planet and get them to become a plentiful species.

As of 2024, energy production was mostly handled by offworld energy farms, like solar farms which ship in energy from Venveeian Alcyoneus. This is where 76% of the energy used in Venvee Republic comes from. The remaining 24% mostly comes from hydro electricity (16%) and nuclear or nuclear waste (8%). The remaining 2% comes from small wind, solar, and geothermal farms.

Transportation

Venvee Republic has an odd mix of transport options, particularly due to the extreme density of Venvee. The 2 largest forms of transport are by car/bus or by train, which carry a combined 63% of all transportation. There have been multiple ways to solve this in Venvee, mostly by stacking multiple railways and highways atop each other that, which have been dubbed "Superhighways". Next is airline travel, which takes up 17% of travel. Another 12% is by ferry, an the remain 8% by foot, bike, or similar transportation options. Most people take a mix of transport options throughout their day.

Venvee republic has a total road network of 3.8 million miles. Early mass production of cars cannot be credited to one company, but the rise of Zecar is undoubtedly the main reason why cars are prevalent in Venvee today. Although Zecar has collapsed since their heyday in the 80's and 90's, 820 out of every 1000 Venveeians own a car, and 480 out of every 1000 own 2 cars. Venvee Republic is famous for its car culture, as cars of different eras are still produced. Most major companies produce 40 or more different types of cars so people can have their prefered style. anything form the early 1900s to 2050 can be found in at least one company.

The Venveeian Rail network is extremely extensive by most standards, catering to any town no matter how small. Intercity trains (subways, elevated rail, monorail, etc.) are found in every major city. High speed trains connect the major cities while local and commuter trains connect smaller towns. Most of the Venveeian railway is dominated by steam, due to their cheapness in both their construction and operation. Most cargo is moved by diesel alongside some high speed commuter trains. Electric trains are usually reserved for high speed routes, as Venvee Republic can barely keep up it's electricity demand.

The Venveeian airline industry is extensive in mostly commuter travel. Large 10 story aircraft, the only ones in the world
produced in Venvee, are the bread and butter for most large airlines in order to keep up with demand. The largest airline in the world, Venvee Airways, handles billions of passengers in XKI each year. However it is limited to the standard of international law, as Venvee Republic does not follow it, resulting in the immense size of aircraft often seen. Venvee International, the oldest airport in Venvee Republic, is the busiest in the world. as of 2024, there were 17,654 airports in Venvee Republic, of which 11,741 were marked for public use. Around 6,000 airports that are marked for public use are publicly owned, the remaining privately owned. Most airports privately owned are small ones in medium sized cities.

Of the busiest container ports in XKI, Venvee Republic is the busiest in XKI. Most of the traffic in Venvee Harbor is often swapping products and refueling. Venvee Harbor is also the largest harbor in the world.

Population

The Venvee Republic Census Bureau reported around 3 Billion people live in Venvee Republic. According to a survey done by the Census Bureau in 2023, 72% of Venveeians above 18 were married, 9% widowed, 9% divorced, and 10% never married at all. Venvee Republic is often credited with having a high marital status due to the religious culture of people only being allowed to divorce if a person has been unfaithful, alongside actively pushing couples to seek counseling if they have marital problems. As of 2023, Venvee Republic has one of the world's largest fertility rates in the world, with 2.6 children per woman. This is often credited to Venveeian culture, in which it was often considered the average family should have at least 3 children. (The birthrate is down from its' all time high substantially, and has been slowly declining since 1977 when it was 4.8 children per woman. It is expected to level off at 2.5 by 2035)

Venvee Republic has a diverse population, with 156 ancestry groups have more than 1 million members. Gulagian is the largest race at 32%, followed by Paceric at 24%, Estherian at 22%, and Tes at 15%. The remaining 8% are immigrants of other nationality. in 2023, the median age was 34.4 years.

Language

There are a multitude of languages spoken in Venvee Republic, but English and Estherian are the national languages. However Sheeviti, spoken by Sheevaa immigrants, is prevalent in small amounts in the southwest coast. Old Stessener is the language spoken in the Srivyinjava island group, adapted from the few natives that lived there. (New Stessener also exists, but on smaller islands, and is not prevalent enough to make the list.)

Immigration

According to the Census Bureau, around 121 million immigrants and children of immigrants live in Venvee Republic. Of those 121 million, 58% (50.8 million) were naturalized citizens, 12% (8,421,600) were lawful permanent residents, 37% (38,907,792) were lawful temporary residents, and the remaining 3% (unknown number) were there illegally.

Religion

According to a survey by the Census Bureau, an overwhelming amount of Venveeians are Christian. 74% are part of a Protestant sect, 8% part of Catholicism, the remaining 2% where part of a different Christian sect. 10% are part of Nosolinvosism, the ancient Estherian religion. the remaining 6% did not answer.

Urbanization

69% of Venveeians live in Urbanized areas, including suburbs, and around 51% of residents live in cities with populations in between 100k-500k. According to the Census Bureau in 2023, there where 412 incorporated municipalities. Of the "Big 10" cities, 5 have a population over 2 million population, and the other 5 exceed 5 million. Venveeian metropolitans grow at a steady rate, but metropolitains with under 1 million people grow the fastest.

The Venvee Republic Armed Forces is extremely formidable against any nation, big or small. Historically the armed forces have been obsessed with large super weapons, resulting in the Lepiz 70m cannon and the Cataclysm class tank. After the 2019 reformation, it was decided to focus on more practical superweapons, while making hard hitting normal and small weapons. The military is extremely diverse in equipment, following the idea of there being a specialized weapon for every occasion.

Navy

The Venveeian Navy has always been the strong arm of the nation, it is one of the largest in the world by both tonnage and ships. However, prior to 2019, it was in a dreadful state. The mass upgrading of the nation remade the navy into a fit fighting force, with an extensive computerization of many of the ship's functions. The navy has a disproportionate amount to larger ships like battleships and aircraft carriers compared to destroyers and cruisers. However most battleships and carriers are more specialized one-offs, while cruisers and destroyers are mass produced.

Army

In 2019 the army was in complete shambles. Most weapons were very old and out of date, or straight up didn't exist at the time. Most military vehicles where pathetic in firepower and armour, or so huge they could not move very well. The idea of logistics did not exist at all. After the reformation, weapons where completely overhauled, and multiple vehicles where manufactured and put into service. Logistics where also introduced, and the army now had a supply truck to fit there needs. The army, although not as experienced as other armies, still remains a formidable fighting force.

Air Force

The Air Force was always the black sheep of the military. It was mostly neglected since it's inception, and never had the capability to do anything outside the island. Military thinking back in the day, which was "more power than sense", often meant weapons failed spectacularly, or that engines ran so hot they would melt and fail mid flight. Even after the reformation, the Air Force was neglected. But the government finally got around to updating it, and it now is a very capable force to go up against. However they are not as experienced as the other branches of the armed forces.

Space Force

The Space Force, which is only a few years old, is very well thought out and a formidable force to mess with. The Battleships are well like for the ability to flank enemy ships due to their maneuverability. The light fighters are nightmarishly small, and can shrink even further to go through small sections of objects. These ships are often scene escorting trade convoys throughout Alcyoneus.
