Mb that was way ruder than I intended, I am, to say the least, frustrated with the direction of the RP at the moment.

Anyway in RP news…

Russia 2022-RP wrote:RSIC: The drones are able to ascertain that the main obstacles come from the fact every single road into Kalinigrad is landmined, with there being barricades and fortifications around the city itself. The RBA defenders have set up drone defenses, AA, anti-tank, and rocket artillery at defense points across Kaliningrad. The bulk of the forces are along the polish border and the Lithuanian border while the city is primarily defended by militias.

The majority of the civilian population seems to be indifferent to the RBA's presence, as there hasn't been as much forceful conscription or looting as in other RBA controlled areas.

RSIC:

After discovering the results of the scouting a Polish war council was organised to discuss our next steps.

We will begin to place troops on the Kaliningrad border and in the Suwalki gap. Then we fire missiles on key targets and launch bombing runs over the area near the border, while they’re scrambling for a response we send the troops in. With the main troops closing in, a naval blockade being installed and bombs falling on the city nightly, we can surely beat them.

RIC: The beginning:

The people of Kalingrad are asleep, the people of Poland are asleep, but new tensions have just woke up. It is around half 4 AM in Eastern European time (The time zone in Kaliningrad). When in border towns the boom of missiles can be heard. Many residents, awoken by the booms panic in confusion. The rest of Russia is in civil war but it had been relatively peaceful in Kaliningrad. Anyway which faction would have missiles?

Meanwhile key locations are struck as by 5.40 the air raid on Kaliningrad city begins. The ground invasion has not yet begun but many have figured out its Poland and are retreating into basements or planning to get north. In the city sirens are going off as the residents panickedly try to find shelter with police attempting to keep the situation under control. At 8 the ground invasion begun. The army would attemp to disable the landmines and then advance across the border. The main goal for these early offensives is the capture of Bagrationovsk.

RPIC: The RBA air defense is mobilized and immediately Polish air forces have to contend with an onslaught of S-350 and S-500 SAMs. Landmines on smaller roads would be relatively easily disabled or destroyed, but on the major roads it'd be much harder, and alternative routes would take significantly longer. Bagrationovsk would fall relatively easily, as the bulk of the RBA forces retreat further inland.

Highway A-195 from Bagrationovsk to Bol'shakovskoye would be bombed by retreating militia forces, making that section of the highway unusable for Polish forces. By noon, Viktor Zolotov, commander of the RBA, would contact Putin requesting immediate reinforcements.

RPSIC: The RBA forces would reorganize at the Pregolya river, setting up fortifications. The organized RBA military forces would set up fortifications on Highway A229 and 27A-021 heading into Kaliningrad.

Shouldn't there be some EU ramifications for this?

PRIC: The February Declaration

Following the signing of the January Constitution, in February the RUG would officially adopt the constitution into law, declaring the Second Russian Republic. Alexander Bortinkov would be sworn in as President, and Leonid Volkov would be unanimously selected as his Chairman of the Government. The Government would adopt a new flag, redesignate Republics as "petty Republics" (same powers, just different name) and begin holding elections for seats in the Federal Assembly.

Previously loyal fascist elements in the RUG have neglected to comment, with the media seemingly sweeping them under the rug all together...

PRSIC: From an outside perspective, it'd look like Bortinkov has an iron grip on the new Republic. In reality though, his powers and weakening and weakening, and he is gradually becoming a mere puppet to the liberals in government.

What would stalin say smh

Irish election results coming in, the fact that criminal mastermind Garry "the Monk" Hutch is coming fourth in Dublin is crazy. He might even still be a contender but it looks lilke Sinn Fein leader Mcdonald will win.
