You all barely defended a raid of 200+ people but couldn't stop a 2 person raid starting, This region really fell off.

Hey Maineiacs; I'd certainly defer to what Ruinenlust said about a year ago, as it explains a bit of how it works and what we in Forest had to do when it came out:
Y'guys haven't transitioned to a governorship, and ultimately that's under 
Garchyland's control. You all could certainly still do it, but nothing's stopping you from remaining the way you are. Hopefully most raiders will leave you alone; I doubt any major force would come in and be anything more than a nuisance to you all. (They mostly seem interested in truly dead trophies or frontiers these days.) I'd still recommend it for peace of mind - raiders generally ignore regions with a governor (formerly founder) entirely - but the process takes about a month and is a bit of an inconvenience, so I wouldn't blame you if you don't.

Well, after a few years of flirting with the idea, the recent raids and inactivity in response to them, and the general growing sentiment of closing embassies with old regions that are no longer active with Forest (or on-site in general), we've ultimately voted in favor to close embassies with our long-standing friends.
You all are more than welcome to move your main or an alt to Forest if you wanted to - we'd love to have you over, if anyone wishes to still use the site. But I think at this point the writing is on the wall with regards to Forestians dropping by here. I thank 
Mozworld especially for their help here and keeping me posted on our historical ties together. Wishing you all well whatever comes next. Take care,

This decision has not been made lightly, but in acknowledgment of the region's current state of inactivity, including the absence of engagement from native members in recent years. The recent raid and lack of response have only underscored this reality.
