Tigs, I have to watch that a few more times, since, the first go through opened up a lot of doors and explained quite a few things for me.
I do already feel that I've had to use the resources of a Dyson Sphere to actually get a Dyson Sphere in game. Nothing is granted, but earned. Mining entire planets, or at least parts of planets, is what we all saw in Star Trek. I forgot to mention above how all planets will have data concerning resources as well as output stored and any defenses the planet may possess within the database. This means that anyone that can see your solar system will also be able to see the resource data. This could depend on other technologies being built. Conquest will undeniably contain some form of surveillance. Science is already a part of the game and could make it happen easily.
All the uranium on the planet only lifting Mt Everest kind of put things in perspective as well. I can't thank you enough for that.
Edit: I believe moving stars with stellar engines to be part of the game already. If it isn't, it will be. That one video led to these two videos.
How to Move the Sun: Stellar Engines
The Black Hole Bomb and Black Hole Civilizations
Food for thought right there. The concept we're talking about entirely encompasses theoretical-physics, yet, there's a bunch of hooey in there as well. Lunarite in game, comes from the Moon and is said to be stronger than metal. Well, that's a load of crap, but, where theoretical-science can be imported, it should be. It should also be explained. I've added videos for most everything. What's Dark Matter? I didn't know. Now there's a short video to watch. I like the idea of it being educational as well as fun. ;)
Another edit: I just confirmed that seizing/attacking stars in other solar systems controlled by factions previously listed, is a thing. So is building interstellar fleets. If we're already building Scout Ships, Frigates, Battle Cruisers and Command Ships, roleplays could suddenly get very interesting. If we can already seize stars and planets controlled by in-game factions, why not start the building process there with the ability to seize, or to at least attempt to seize stars and planets controlled by other players?
Oh how good it is that you're back Assorro, I was getting worried.
My current trajectory (of life, being married, having a full-time job, and so forth) doesn't allow me the privilege of living in your timezone anymore. But I'm still around, always reading never writing.
Sorry for the rent, I was just excited Assorro is back so I had to write something. Back to the Shadows with me.
Thanks Nerosina. I work overnights now, so we're actually still the same only reversed.
This is just a heads up, all. I'm going to be taking a few days away starting on Wednesday, so by the time the next proposal comes up I could post a poll, but I wouldn't be back until after voting closes. Everything's fine here, just needing a few days R&R after working through all of this since January without much of a break aside from a couple of days off here and there.
*Edit: I already have a video saved from YouTube that I will be posting on Facebook, and possibly here, on New Years.
I vote we boycott this entire life...
