I imagine our govt would have some involvement, though not sure in what capacity.

I've been thinking for a while, our government is rather unsure of its position to Monarchies, we would probably have some sympathies to graduals who wish to keep the monarchy as a figure head. It would kind of depend on how bloody this gets and how harsh the sides are.
