Brusseldorf wrote:to all of the folk who usually participate in Quelsh's polls, you are more than welcome to nuke Glengo as well, as you can see they are clearly an avengers-level threat

I am thinking about this and now I am wondering what the other threat levels are
is there some sort of linear threat progression like greg->local police->national military->the avengers->glengo sea monster?
or is it more complicated than that with a lot of political and economic brainthinking behind the scenes to determine the most efficient/desirable solution?

The Grand Empire of Andor wrote:Although I guess thatís the reason for any other kind of escapist fiction, to try to get away from the realities of the world

and into a fantasy world that is more dismal and depressing than the real world half of the time

unless you live in quelsh since I do not think it gets worse than that

you see, the secret to my optimism is that my happy place is a country that physically exists and I could go there if I wanted/capitalism'd for it/wasn't stuck in a sickly piss zone

but you could also, y'know, develop a fictitious nation, landscape, and global political climate continually for 5 years

except ground it in partial reality, so in the present day there the pandemic is exponentially worse because Wuhan is a subsection of a giant war zone and the lovely and sweet question of letting potentially sick refugees into your country or keeping them out despite them having nothing to return to is on the table constantly

The Grand Empire of Andor wrote:I also tried whiskey for the first time.

you see, the secret to my soft boi masculinity is that all my drinks should actually be palatable. I had wine once and it was just bitter-old-grape-taste/smell and I can't. I also slept through the 21st so I don't need help falling asleep in that way

Quelsh wrote:greg->local police->national military->the avengers->glengo sea monster?

the greatest of threats is the kind that openly proclaims online that they have "soft boi masculinity" so they can earn your trust/pity/disgust and then attack when least expected.
when they say "honestly this conspiracy that i'm an incredibly dangerous force doesn't fit with any of 'this' at all i don't have a military" it's just proof of how far it's gone

Despite not knowing what excuse I would use to start a twitter or tumblr account, I seem to speak their language near constantly on rmb and I am deeply sorry and also baffled

oh yeah the nation of Glengo is also not me so i've been NationStatesing it wrong since 2016

Overall, not bad

Personally I enjoy that little 'bite' when you first drink whiskey. What whiskey was it? On a sidenote, today marks 8 years since I moved to Australia.

It was Seagram's Seven Crown. I had some neat and also some with water. It's suppose to go well with 7-Up or soda so maybe I'll try that next time. My family actually has a bit of a liquor collection, which is funny since no one in my family really drinks (except for maybe my uncle). A lot of it is foreign stuff, from my Grandpa picking them up as souvenirs or receiving them as gifts during his time in the navy (Canadian Whisky, Irish whiskey, Communist-era Romanian vodka that I don't think has ever been opened, and a few bottles of different German, Spanish, and French liquor).

Also, congrats on the anniversary!

I have never heard of that whiskey, I'll have to look it up later, I knew a guy the same way from one of my plays, says he got drunk once in his 20's and hated it, in his 60's now with a big collection of wine and whiskey but never drank it. Also, thank you.

Under those circumstances there is no such thing as "too much" alcohol.
