Yes, but it's always changing. One moment a nation exists, the next it doesn't. It takes some time to get on the map, but eventually you'll find your place. You could always try and convince a nation to cede some territory so you can exist on the map, which actually works out more than you think, especially with the larger nations hating on having so many neighbours. Currently our map will be undergoing a major update, so a lot of nations who have missed out on being on the map will have their chance, so long as they are residents for the minimum time required as mentioned on our Regional Map Dispatch by Aravam. I am actually helping him with it since it will be so big and grand, so if you're here long enough we could work something out. Aravam always tries to get as many residents in as possible, so don't worry about laying any claims right now. I suggest you should build a network of alliances, build up your nation's rank, and maybe even develop your lore - so by the time you get on the map you'll have a well established claim to whatever region you're trying to claim. Think of it how the United Nations in the real world operates, sort of like that if it helps. Aravam would have a better way of explaining it than me. I do look forward to seeing you on the map, it seems you have interesting lore and I appreciate the quality of your factbooks.

IC: Royal Engagement
Vasco was lying on his narrow academy bed, staring at the ceiling and letting his mind wander when the knock came. He closed his eyes, stifling a groan. Academy life had a monotonous rhythm—training, study, and mindless tasks—and he’d come to loathe the interruptions.
“Come in,” he called, his voice tinged with the weariness of someone always on edge for bad news.
An officer pushed the door open. “Alduin, a diplomat has arrived from Hedra. He’s waiting to speak with you outside.”
Vasco propped himself up on his elbows, a smirk already playing on his lips. “A diplomat? From dear mother, no doubt. This ought to be good. What’s the crisis now? Another lecture about duty and discipline?”
The officer didn’t react to the comments. “See it for yourself.”
The officer left the room, he returned moments later with the diplomat, a tall man with sharp, angular features and an air of cold authority. His military jacket was immaculate, and he carried himself with the rigid formality Vasco had come to expect from his mother’s inner circle.
The diplomat gave a stiff bow. “Your Highness, I bring instructions from Her Majesty, the Empress Elvira.”
Vasco crossed his arms, leaning casually against the bedpost, a mocking smile already curling his lips. “Ah, Mother. Always so concerned. What is it this time? Has she finally found a reason to drag me back home? Or perhaps some new rule I’ve broken?”
The diplomat’s tone was as cold as his expression. “Her Majesty has arranged your engagement, Your Highness. You are to marry Princess Aloara II, Countess of Ierada-Perma, the youngest daughter of King Harold of Velkisa.”
Vasco’s smirk froze for a moment, then deepened into a bitter grin. “Marriage? To some foreign princess I’ve never even met? How predictable.” He gave a dramatic sigh. “And here I was, thinking I had a few more years of freedom before I was bartered off like a fine piece of silver.”
The diplomat remained stone-faced. “You are to leave for Velkisa tomorrow morning. Her Majesty expects you to be on your best behavior. This union is of great importance, both politically and diplomatically.”
Vasco’s eyes narrowed as he pushed himself off the bedpost. “Best behavior, huh? Well, I’m sure we all have different definitions of ‘best.’ But what if I don’t feel like playing the obedient son? What then?”
The diplomat’s voice grew colder. “This is not a matter of preference, Your Highness. It is a matter of duty. The marriage has been arranged. Your role is to fulfill that duty, without incident. Her Majesty has made it clear that any scandal will not be tolerated.”
Vasco chuckled darkly. “Oh, Mother has always been fond of the word ‘duty’. But what about what I want? I assume that hasn’t crossed anyone’s mind?”
“The stability of the Empire outweighs personal desires, Your Highness,” the diplomat said evenly. “You will meet the Princess. The engagement will proceed as planned.”
Vasco sighed theatrically, running a hand through his hair. “Well, it looks like I don’t have much of a choice, do I? Fine. I’ll go. I’ll meet this princess, smile politely, and pretend I’m thrilled about the whole arrangement.”
“Her Majesty also expects you to dress appropriately for the journey. You represent the Imperial family, and the occasion requires the highest standards of appearance and conduct.”
At that, Vasco’s mood lightened, if only slightly. He straightened up and gave a wry smile. “Well, at least I get to escape this dull academy and wear something that doesn’t smell like barracks.”
The diplomat gave a curt nod. “I will make the arrangements for your departure. You are expected to leave tomorrow at dawn.”
Vasco made a mock bow. “Dawn, is it? I suppose I should start packing, then. Tell Mother I’ll be the picture of decorum.” He paused, his eyes flicking down to his gloved hands. “And I assume I’ll need to keep my little habit well hidden. Can’t have the future bride noticing the scars, can we?”
The diplomat didn’t react, but his tone was icy. “Her Majesty would prefer you maintain a presentable appearance at all times, Your Highness. It would be wise to keep the gloves on.”
Vasco let out a frustrated sigh, pulling at the leather gloves that concealed the nervous damage he’d done to his own fingers—an old habit of his that had worsened under stress. “Yes, yes. I’ll be a perfect gentleman. You can tell Mother she has nothing to worry about.”
Without another word, the diplomat turned and left, the door closing softly behind him. Vasco stood in silence for a moment, staring at his reflection in the small mirror on his desk. He adjusted his gloves, tugging at them nervously.
“Married off like a prized stallion to some girl I’ve never even seen,” he muttered to himself. “But at least I’ll get to dress the part.”
He walked over to the wardrobe, pulling out his most lavish attire—the deep velvet coats, the embroidered waistcoats, the fine silk cravats. If he was to be forced into this display of royal obedience, he’d do it on his own terms. He’d look stunning, he’d charm the court of Velkisa, and he’d remind everyone that he was still Don Vasco of Ferragudo, heir to the throne of Hedra.
As he began packing, he caught a glimpse of his fingers again and frowned, pulling the gloves tighter.
“If I’m going to play this game,” he muttered, “I’ll do it my way. But I’m not giving them more than that.”
The next morning, Vasco stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of his crisp white shirt and smoothing down his tailored black and gold jacket. The modern cut of the suit clung to him perfectly, an understated but sharp statement of his noble status. His gloved fingers tugged at his cufflinks before he slipped on his sunglasses, giving himself a once-over. He smiled at his reflection, admiring his looks.
As he stepped out of his dorm at the Valis Military Academy, his usual cocky air returned. He was leaving behind the endless lectures and regimental life for something more luxurious, even if it was a setup for a marriage he didn’t want.
Waiting by the sleek, black town car was the diplomat his mother had sent. The man was in his forties, immaculately dressed in a dress suit, his face unreadable. Vasco sauntered over, one eyebrow raised.
“Your Highness, everything is prepared,” the diplomat said, opening the car door with a slight bow.
“Of course it is,” Vasco muttered, climbing inside the car and sliding into the plush leather seat.
As the car hummed along the highway towards the airport, the diplomat cleared his throat. “Your Highness, as you are already aware, Her Majesty the Empress has arranged your visit to Velkisa to meet Princess Aloara, the youngest daughter of King Harold. The marriage is intended to secure an important alliance between Hedra and Velkisa.”
Vasco sighed dramatically, slumping back into his seat. “Right, the Countess of Ierada-Perma. Politics, alliances, all that. As if my life hasn’t become boring enough.”
The diplomat, unfazed by Vasco’s sarcasm, continued, “This is an important arrangement, not only for your future but for the stability of Hedra. Your behavior must reflect that.”
Vasco rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses. “I know the drill. Smile, charm them, pretend I care. You sound just like my mother.”
The diplomat pressed on, his tone flat and professional. “King Harold’s court is very formal, and your conduct will reflect on the entire Imperial family. You are expected to make a strong impression.”
Vasco gave him a sideways glance. “And what if I don’t feel like making an impression? What if I don’t care for Velkisa’s little court games or this princess?”
The diplomat didn’t miss a beat. “Then you will still perform your duties, as instructed by Her Majesty.”
“So, what’s this Princess Aloara like?” Vasco asked after a moment of silence.
The diplomat hesitated before replying. “Princess Aloara is known for her grace and intelligence. She has been educated in Hedran, Sovern, and Aravami, she is a bit shy I hear.”
“Poise, intelligence, and shyness,” Vasco muttered with a smirk. “Sounds like she’s the perfect royal puppet. I can hardly wait.”
The diplomat ignored the prince’s derisive tone, his focus remaining on the task at hand until they finally arrived at the airport.
He leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. “You know,” he said after a moment, “I was planning something big for my birthday. A huge party with the most eccentric people in Hedra. But I suppose this trip to Velkisa ruins that, doesn’t it?”
“Her Majesty has your best interests at heart, Your Highness,” the diplomat replied evenly.
Vasco huffed, more to himself than to the diplomat. “I’m sure she does.”
He looked down at his hands, still gloved. The scars from his nervous habit were hidden, just as they always were in front of others. He flexed his fingers and sighed. Their plane, after just about a couple of hours, lands on Aerma’s International Airport. They descend from the plane and embark on a black car that takes to the royal palace.
OOC: How out of touch or shameless do you have to be to pester a place like Barbaria about their embassies and tags? A cursory look through their RMB makes it clear that it is a region focused on their own roleplay and a cursory look at their tags+embassies shows that they're open to strike an embassy with everyone w/out discrimination, but you come here to grandstand and pressure them? This isn't a newbie region where your fearmongering can bully them into tailoring their embassies to your political fetishism. Wild that you guys routinely stoop down to this tactic of "opening an embassy and then threatened to close it" tactic.
The Fifth Empire has an old and lasting (but casual and uninvolved) embassy with Barbaria b/c they're an old region that doesn't go with the flow of the rest of NS, they mind their own business, and they focus on long term and effort-based roleplay, which makes them prime candidates to be invited to future random inter-regional RP/cultural events w/out having to worry about the chronic neurotic drama that is all too present across the NS landscape.
They are entirely apolitical and I hope Barbaria is here to last.

Had the barbaria FA person decided not to run their mouth off mocking our people, I would of had no reason to respond. =)
Next time, don't be disrespectful and there won't be problems.
I didn't pressure anything, I stated my reasons for why we're closing embassies because their FA felt the need to imply that our people are "retarded and senseless". They can have whatever embassies they want, but that same right extends to our region as well and we don't want to associate with fascists or their sympathizers.
Had they graciously accepted that we don't want anything to do with them then everyone would of been on their way.
"prime candidates" - now that there is hilarious. Nobody else wants anything to do with fifth empire because that region is highly hated so no duh fifth empire will take what the region can get when it comes to "allies".
OOC: Seeing you guys spin around with our name in your mouths is certainly a treat- keep it up champ! May Barbaria's minister of FA's implications stay implied (hey, if the hat fits!)

Just as Prince Vasco takes his first step onto the Palace's plaza, he is directly met by Princess Aloara II. while accompanied by her personal guard, Baston Lieory, whom is sheltering her face from the sun with a black umbrella.
"Prince Vasco of House Alduin, it is a pleasure to finally meet your acquaintance..." the young lady takes off her sunglasses, revealing her eyes to be of pink hue, like cherry blossom pedals. Her skin is pale, and her hair is as white as snow. "...Let us see if you are the man my father claims you are." she adds before gesturing Prince Vasco to follow her into the Palace's Royal Courtyard. Pass the gate, the Velkisian Palace is adorned with white marble floors, gold pillars, and the Velk flag bannered at every corner. Guards casually patrol the perimeters of their stations, while greeting the Princess in all her glory. Eventually they find themselves in a large court outside, where gardens of every kind of crop can be found.
The two find their seat at the epicentre of the courtyard, where every direction you look is an endless row of flowers, vegetables, and fruits.
"Although my condition prevents me from spending too much time outside, it doesn't stop me from committing to my favourite hobby, gardening." the young lady helps herself to some tea that was handled by her trusted servant, Elsa, a young maiden who adores the Princess in every way. Elsa hands Prince Vasco his tea, which turned out to be his favourite kind. Elsa quickly bows and retreats to her kitchen, where she'll prepare her premimum pastries.
IC: As Vasco stepped onto the Palace plaza and saw Princess Aloara II standing before him, he sized her up with a quick glance. The cherry-blossom pink of her eyes, the pale skin, the snow-white hair—she was unlike anyone he had encountered before. When she removed her sunglasses and spoke, Vasco’s smirk barely concealed his amusement.
“Ah, well, I do aim to impress, Princess,” Vasco replied, a teasing edge in his voice. “Though it sounds like I have some expectations to meet, courtesy of your father.” He said while removing his sunglasses revealing his own unique eye colour - a pale lilac, a rarity even among Hedra’s purple eyed population.
As they walked through the palace gates and into the courtyard, Vasco’s eyes wandered across the grandeur of the palace—the gold pillars, the white marble, and the flags draped at every turn. But his attention soon returned to the princess beside him, intrigued by her composure and the faint mystery surrounding her.
When they reached the courtyard, Vasco sat, observing the vast gardens of flowers, vegetables, and fruits with a raised eyebrow. He accepted the tea from Elsa, noting with some surprise that it was his favorite. After a sip, he leaned back in his chair, glancing at Aloara.
“Gardening, you say?” he remarked, a smirk playing at his lips. “Didn’t take you for a gardener. I thought you’d be more the… embroidering or political type like other princesses. But I guess I was wrong or you are putting on a special show for your guest.” His eyes gleamed with playful mischief, though he was intrigued by her candidness.
He let the quiet settle before adding, more seriously, “It’s not every day I meet someone with an eye for beauty like this nor someone quite… unique I might say.I’m curious—what is it you hope to see from me, Princess? Also, I’m curious, what is this condition you speak of? Some form of albinism perhaps? Either that or you must be some vampire and that guard of yours is some type of Renfield.” He added joking.
IC: "The Black Star"
As the election season in Aswardo draws near its end, it is almost indecisive who could win the election. Between the incumbent President Poo Poo's anti-Ongi rhetoric, and his opponent's hyper-liberal policy propositions, the people are more than ever divided on the fate of the republic. Just as President Poo Poo's popularity began to dip in the polls, a sudden and horrific act would shake the nation forever. Just as the sun barely rose from the horizon, a primary school in the Yomi District of Keno becomes the target of the nation's worst terrorist attack in history. When the primary school opened its classes for the first hour, a large explosion penetrates the entrance of the building, causing the structural integrity of the building to dwindle, forcing hundreds of innocent children and teachers stuck in the building, with no way out. The only other exit from the building has been penetrated by a regiment of twenty-five operatives, clad in battle armour, and equipped with fully-automatic rifles. In a swift and horrific act, these operatives went from classroom to classroom, shooting down every child and teacher they could find. After an hour the slaughter resulted in the death of over three hundred people, until the Aswardi Army stormed the building, and defeated the terrorist operatives in less than thirty minutes. Every operative was killed except for one, who was captured and brought in for interrogation. Upon further discovery, the Aswardi Intelligence Agency uncovered that these operatives were none other than the Ongi, and are tied to General Red's alliance of Ongi militias. Their weapons and armour were made in Kiago, and much of their battle tactics were reminisce of that of Kiago ground strategy. In a speech to the nation, President Poo Poo declassified the information gathered from the Aswardi Intelligence Agency, to properly inform the Aswardi people who was responsible for this national travesty. In great despair, President Poo Poo once again condemns Kiago, and declares that they are accountable once again for Ongi-sponsored terrorism. In retaliation for this attack, President Poo Poo authorizes the use of Kamakazi drones to target Ongi militia command centres in eastern Kiago. Because of this, President Poo Poo's popularity gain traction, and he was able to win a second term in an absolute landslide. In his inauguration speech to the nation, President Poo Poo emphasizes that "...Aswardo will return, and take care of the Ongi themselves, once and for all..."
OOC: Abortion in Imperii Feminam doesn't exist, please let me explain...
Imperii Feminam (to those who don't know), is populated solely by women, and only women can populate it. If an Amazonian desires to have a child, they can upon their own free will, and will reproduce asexually. If an Amazonian decides they no longer want a child while in the process of replicating themselves (which only takes six months), the cells are reabsorbed into the body. However, it is an EXTREMELY rare case that they'd 'cancel' the replicating process, because it already takes a lot of energy, and can endanger their health. For those wondering, no the Amazonians don't split into two like a cell does during asexual reproduction, instead they give live birth like an average human, just for a shorter amount of time. For those who are even more curious, yes, Amazonians can reproduce sexually, but its not necessary, because mating with a male human would ruin their gene pool.

IC: Order and Stability
The King sits in his royal office, within the corridors of the Parliament building. He has come to a decision that in order to finally stabilize the nation, he must refound the K.I.A or Kiago Intelligence Agency, An agency which was rid of by King Leopold the II over 50 years ago due to instability and radical nature of the K.I.A. Even now, Older Kiagoan's in their 60s or over remember the K.I.A as a brutal internal agency. But if it must be done...
THEN SO BE IT.
And so, the K.I.A is reborn. The new General Secretary is Black Zothique Kiago Native Morris Withers, a man with 44 years of military service ever since joining the Kiago Army at only 18. Ever since he has dedicated his life to the Kiago Army, and only a few years ago he was promoted to General.
SIC:
Hours after the formation, Several Major figures in notable cartels, including those sponsored by Lageos. After a few days of operations, Cartel activities have decreased by 18%.
IC: Summit of Central Zothique Peace
As the war between Bokongo and Lageos finally ceases, Kaiser Otto I. officially begins the summit between the leaders of each respective nation, as himself acting as a mediator. The summit will be held in Sovern's second largest city, Franvord, where the conference will take place in the mayor's press conference room. This room overlooks the entirety of the dazzling city lights, where people, cars, and buildings can all be seen from a bird's eye view. It is also the first day snow falls in Sovern, which is odd, as it is usually later in the year that snowfall would start in the country.
"Gentlemen of Bokongo and Lageos, please let me be perfectly clear, during this summit we will be civil, and use only civil language. This is not my house to say vulgar, we are here because the mayor of the city was kind enough to let us use this conference room. Now then, if we don't have any other statements to be made before the summit, it shall begin. It will ultimately come down to a mandatory truce for ten (10) years, and the demilitarization of the Bokongo-Lageos border. These are terms that will be non-negotiables, if there is anything either party would like to declare, say your peace now."
IC: Kazakborat officially and openly condemns Athant and Malulota for participating in the genocide of their western cousins, both peoples shared a deep cultural connection, but now that there are none left, the Kazak people feel empty, and fearful that the Rodinians are going to come after them next...
In other news, the government of Kazakborat has announce that the Ryn will be abandoned for the Hyperborean Mark, and work with I.C.E. to begin the monetary transition process.
IC: President Kuma nods, "Those are reasonable terms, and may I suggest that there be at least ten miles of demilitarization from the border?" he exclaims while illustrating on a map of his. President Kuma adds, "I am also willing to financially compensate the government of Bokongo for the loss of life, destruction of property, and overall loss of land as well."
IC: "Your terms are acceptable, ten miles will be sufficient enough to keep the peace, and providing financial compensation to Bokongo will suffice the loss of life and property during the conflict. In that case, I believe both parties should maintain a channel of communication. President Agga Buskacaga, is there anything you'd like to add before we get into the more extensive terms of our peace agreement?" Kaiser Otto gestures towards the President of Bokongo to say his peace.
IC: President Buskacaga makes a remark on the topic of war reparations, "...For the loss of life and property during the conflict, I believe the most reasonable estimate I'm willing on settling on is approximately one-hundred billion and fifty-thousand (100,000,050,000) Kilmas. It will take half of that to rebuild what infrastructure was damaged, and to properly accommodate the kin of the deceased who bravely defended their land. As long as Lageos could commit to that, we will recognize your rightful ownership and annexation of northern Bokongo, which I should remind you is half of our nation's total land was taken. I can find it in confidence that Kaiser Otto could agree on me with that."
As the Barracki state finally capitulates underneath the conquest from the Athantian-Malulotan joint invasion, the territory was divided up according to historical claims brought by multiple nations. What was considered core Athantian territory was returned, as well as historic lands belonging to the Malulotans. The Lyyrians were granted independence, and the core territory they possessed prior, and in addition the people of Uradaca were granted independence. An official envoy was sent by Athant to Uradaca in the opportunity to establish cordial relations.
IC:
President Kuma shakes his head sternly, "I won't do that amount...I am willing to do five billion Kilmas in gold, and that is my best offer for you."
IC: "The Golden Bloom" - Act I.
Prologue: As the Mejican Imperial Army sieges the Hoover Dam, zealous supporters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints use their wealth and influence to organize their own armies in an attempt to defend the Separatist Confederation. Amongst their campaign there is a steady-growing faction of Caprist radicals planning on overthrowing the nation, and establish a theocracy in the Mojave Desert. Between their steady hand over the affairs of their settlements, the Church was able to assemble a large army on route to the border with the Mejican Empire. Those in the highest level of power use their wit and power to use this new military might for the means of a new state, built within one. What was assumed to be a brigade of soldiers stationed in Valor's intention was to defend the city actually laid it under siege themselves. In this brutal night of conflict, the Separatist Confederation was dissolved, and the Holy Desert Dominion was established, with the current Prophet, Albert Winds, as the sole ruler of this new land. In their grand march, the Prophet himself envisioned that the dominion will spread further, and conquer northern Mejicanas...
IC: Slightly disappointed, President Buskacaga settles on the counter-offer, trying to keep the summit going accordingly, "Fine, I'll accept."
SIC: "Operation: Trojan Horse"
With permission from the government of Kiago, the Aswardi National Army has dispatched twenty (20) divisions of the light infantry, along with the assistance of ten (10) mechanized infantry regiments, five (5) brigades of the special operatives unit, into Ongi-controlled eastern Kiago, which many on the ground are now referring to as "Ongi Territory". The main objective is to once again retaliate against the Ongi for their attacks on Aswardo, specifically aimed at reducing their ability to conduct larger attacks. Just as last time, the Aswardi dominated in the battlefield, decimating the enemy at every turn, little by little crippling their manpower and reserve forces. Although less in numbers, the Aswardi are renown for their capable battle strategy and more advanced technology. This new line of offensive is mostly using recently-imported weapons from Sovern, most their world famous rifles and anti-personnel drones. Despite their moral high ground for the stakes of their honour, the Aswardi soldiers and officers have begun raiding and looting non-Ongi settlements, and have begun taking control of the vast mines that dot the region. Much like the majority of Aswardo, the soldiers themselves blame Kiago for this mess, specifically their government for letting it all happen, and as reparations, the strongest began bullying the settlers in the region as reparations for this major inconvenience. The government's recent innovations in chemical technology is being tested on the native Kiago in a large scale, ensnarling the innocent for their own benefit.
IC: President Juni Poo Poo has publicly announced that he will maintain his peacekeeping forces in eastern Kiago for the foreseeable future, to insure the Ongi can't retaliate, and has even banned the collective Kiago Armed Forces from participating in these purges, let alone enter the territory. This announcement shortly came after the Aswardi Intelligence Agency informed the President that Kiago requested the U.N.B. Task Force to leave the premises, despite the situation being the same, if not worse. Outraged, President Juni Poo Poo boldly declares his intentions.
"...Kiago failed to secure the region, the international community failed to secure the region, so we must finally secure the region..."
Princess Aloara covers her mouth as she lets out a short, and rather girly giggle.
"...A vampire?" she sarcastically says to herself, "No, I have only inherited albinism on my mother's side. It was a rumour that our bloodline was cursed by a witch in the middle ages, but those sorts of stories can ruin a name, so my mother had everyone's tongue torn from their mouths, and then the rumours ceased."
A servant comes by and pours everyone a second cup of tea, "All of that is in the past, that's why I engage myself with understanding politics, so I can better understand how to one day help rule a rightful domain. I had just turned nine-teen this month, and I want to do something with my life than just sit around under my father's watchful eye...that is why he arranged this marriage is it not?"
