You want to create a large regional roleplay like the colonial one from a few months ago? We can draw up a rough draft or general idea for a new theme, and with the seasoned cartographer Benelux's abilities, a map can be put into action.

You can decide the theme or let the region's members take a vote and eventually, more details are recommended to fully establish the entire organizational process. I had a few ideas like a Layem cold war (your regional nations replace real-life cold war countries), the wild west era which is a rough sketch, and the final one is essentially just around the dark ages.

My thoughts on the themes he suggested. Only two stand out for me.

I can't imagine a nation-roleplay in the wild west. Most roleplays that I've read from that genre are ussually about a group of characters/sole protagonist rather than the American's manifest destiny. The scale would also be something of a matter, since we wouldn't know if it would just a homestead turining into a village and eventually bombed by federal bureucrats who want to declare the settlement the capital of whatever state has been made.

Cold war is, äääääääääääääh, cold war. Only thing I find interesting in those times is the depressing s*** in Asia and Europe along with hilarious s*** happening in Africa and the Middle east. Ah, and classic spy films. Never tried my hand at a cold war nation roleplay.

Yeah, you bring up some very valid points, and I did say that the Wild West theme was a rough sketch that would not be very plausible. Cold War theme suggestion I honestly think wouldn't be all that bad though; we can get creative and such if the idea further develops in time. If this sounds much better we could potentially convert the cold war theme into a World War 3 roleplay; it would be global thermonuclear war during the times of the cold war era, and it can also expand afterwards into life during a nuclear winter. You could rebuild civilizations in the new world of the nuclear fallout, fight wars or form diplomacy, and whatever other ideas to help me out here. If not I would try considering the middle ages or dark ages, not a bad area to explore into.
