if I remember correctly didn't you vote for your self when you first started running for office went you were still with the DPF.
I personally feel we new faces in government because with change comes growth I feel Vaus Cate is a very capable person and will defiantly bring change for the betterment of this region
as Vice president, I wish luck to all candidates and i hope the region picks the most capable person for this important job.

Noting that times in the Union have Changed
Noting that the Parliament must adapt to fit these new times
Hereby amends the Constitution to restructure the Union Parliament.
Title I - Provisions
This amendment hereby abolishes the office of Prime Minister of the Democratic Union
of Free States and shall also abolish the Legislative Ministry.
Upon the Passage of this Act the Prime Minister shall become a member of the
Parliament and the Legislative Ministry will be dissolved indefinitely.
Therefore Article IX of the Constitution, titled: The Union Council of State, shall be
renamed to The Union Executive Council.
Forthwith, as established by this Amendment, Section 1 of Article 9 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be renamed to Section I - Role and Members and shall be amended to state:
The Union Executive Council shall be the principal body of the Government consisting of the President, the Vice-President, Directors, and other appointed Advisers or heads of lower agencies which shall be presided over by the President or an official representing or acting in his or her name.
The Union Executive Council is an advisory body to the President and shall carry out administrative functions to aid the President in fulfilling his or her duties of the Chief Executive Officer of this Union as provided by law.
The President shall appoint members to the Union Executive Council. Members of the Union Executive Council, excluding the Vice-President, serve at the pleasure of the President.
Forthwith, as established by this Amendment, Section 2 of Article 9 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be renamed to Section II - Departments and Lower Agencies and shall be amended to state:
Departments are a sector of the Executive Branch of Government and shall carry out executive functions as provided by law. A Department is headed by a Director who is appointed by the President. The Director may appoint a Deputy Director and any assisting staff if necessary.
A Department is established by an act of Parliament. The President or the Director may change the internal organization of the Department but not its functions.
A Lower Agency is defined as a body that is either purely advisory or is a subordinate body within a department. A Lower Agency may be created by the President via executive order. A Lower Agency may be dissolved by Parliament if both chambers reach a ⅔ majority vote.
Forthwith, upon the passage of this Amendment, The Assembly of Ministers shall be
re-organized into the Legislative Assembly. All mentions of the Assembly of Ministers
in the Constitution or any law shall be changed to the Legislative Assembly.
Section 1, Clause 3 of Article 10 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:
The Assembly shall consist of the Legislators, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly and (if one is appointed) a Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly.
Section 1, Clause 4 of Article 10 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:
The Chairman of the Assembly, shall be the Vice-President of the Union who shall hold this office ex-officio, as its Chairman, he or she shall chair all debates of the Assembly, and shall place all bills to vote in the Assembly. In case of a tie, the Chairman will cast a vote to break the tie. The Chairman has the authority to reject a motion from the Assembly to Impeach a Justice, this motion may be challenged by the Assembly with a ¾ majority vote.
Section 1, Clause 5 of Article 10 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:
The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly shall appoint a Deputy Chairman to
act in his or her name when the Chairman is not present to discharge the
functions of their office.
Section 1, Clause 6 of Article 10 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:
If the Chairman or Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly are not present
to preside over this Assembly, The President or a majority of the Legislative
Assembly shall appoint a Chairman Pro-Tempore to be the presiding officer in
this Chamber until the Chairman or Deputy Chairman can return to resume their

The Assembly shall have the duty to confirm the Justices with the Majority vote.
Forthwith, as established by this Amendment, The Legislative Assembly may not be
dissolved and shall remain a un dissolvable Chamber of the Union Parliament.
Section 1, Clause 3.E of Article 7 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be removed.
Section 1, Clause 3.C of Article 7 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:
To, the best of his/her ability, enforce any and all passed legislation.
Forthwith, as established by this Amendment, The House of Delegates may be dissolved
by the President, if they are not representing the People, or are causing legislative
dysfunction. An order to dissolve the House of Delegates may be nullified by the
Supreme Court. The House of Delegates may be dissolved by the request of the Speaker
of the House of Delegates or by a majority vote from the House of Delegates. Upon
dissolution of the House of Delegates, an election will be called.
Section 1, Clause 1 of Article 11 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:
The House of Delegates shall be made up of Delegates, a Speaker of the House of Delegates and (if one is appointed) a Deputy Speaker of the House of Delegates.
Section 2, Clause 2.A of Article 11 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States shall be amended to state:

The Speaker of the House of Delegates shall appoint a Deputy Speaker to act in
his or her name when the Speaker is not present to discharge the duties of their
An additional Clause 5 shall be added in Section 1 of Article 11 of the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Free States which shall state:
If the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of the House of Delegates are not present to
preside over this House, the President shall appoint an Interim Speaker who shall
act as the Presiding Officer of this Chamber until the Speaker or Deputy Speaker
shall return to resume their duties.
In Chapter V - “The Union Parliament”, an additional Article shall be added labeled “ Article XII:A -
Further Provisions ” which shall state:
If in case of emergency or extreme need of urgent legislative action in a time that Parliament is acting to slow or cannot be convened; the President shall issue an Ordinance which shall have the force of law.
Provided that the President may only issue such an Ordinance upon recommendation of the Speaker of the House of Delegates, (or) The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, (or) at least two members of either chamber of Parliament.
Provided that the said Ordinance does not amend the Constitution or modify its provisions in any way
Ordinances must be ratified by Parliament upon two weeks from the date it was issued. The term of an Ordinance may be extended for a maximum of two weeks by the President if the Supreme Court issues a proclamation unanimously agreeing to do so.
If an ordinance is not ratified after its expiry it shall be rendered null and void.
The President may withhold his assent from an ordinance that has been recommended to him or her. The President is obliged to assent to an Ordinance if it is recommended to him or her by more than two parliament members from either chamber.
The Supreme Court has the authority to strike down an ordinance and render it null and void if they believe it is unconstitutional.
The Presiding Officers of each house shall decide the rules of that chamber if no
such law exists stating rules for that Chamber. Rules include (but are not limited to); Conduct,
Communication, Procedure and Inter-Branch Communication and other criteria
as decided by the Presiding Officer and the said Chamber.
If in case that both Chambers of Parliament cause legislative dysfunction (Not
able to pass any legislation due to political deadlock for an extended period of
time) or a majority of the members of both houses are inactive; The President may
dissolve both Houses of Parliament and call an election. An order to dissolve both
Houses of Parliament must be approved by the Supreme Court.
