I, too would like to Congratulate our new Prime Minister Not-Brittania! I wish you nothing but the best of luck! We believe in you.

Hong Kong Island

Hong Kong Island sends their best wishes to the people of the Empire of Great Britain and Not-Brittania! I hope our governments can work together to ensure a good political relationship, I would also like to invite the new PM to have a look at the Royal Instructions so they can be aware of the Hong Kong Island's status within the Empire.

Will the elections for the House of commons be fairly soon as the next parliamentary session starts on the 1st September?

The elections for the House of Commons will be organised as soon as feasibly possible. Hopefully before September 1st.

I encourage anyone who wishes to run for Parliament to make a formal announcement after the Prime Minister has announced his Cabinet

As per the Imperial Consitution, as the population is currently below forty nations - citizens may serve both as as Secretary of State and Member of the House.

Faithfully yours,

Her Majesty Queen Victoria

Thank you, Your Majesty for your prompt response

Thank you to all who have sent their congratulations. I hope that I can repay their trust in full in time.

As to my cabinet, I would like to ask:

Lunayria to continue in his long service as Secretary of State for War and to take the office of Deputy Prime Minister. No one knows the workings of the Royal Navy better than he, and I am certain that his long government experience would ensure his ability to act in my place in my absence.

Menorica to take up the office of Secretary of State for Home Affairs. I am confident that his tenures as Minister for Culture and as Recruitment Secretary have prepared him to manage our immigration system and regrow our regional population to new heights.

Colfax county to assume the mantle of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. As a former Prime Minister, he has the experience necessary to manage our region's diplomatic growth and build on the legacy of the Prince of Wales and The founding father in that office.

Other appointments to offices such as the Culture Ministry will follow after parliamentary elections.

I would ask the candidates to inform me of their acceptance or polite declinal via telegram as soon as possible so that we can begin the election process.

The parliamentary constituencies are Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Northern England, The Midlands, Eastern England, and Southern England. I would invite candidates to declare themselves on the RMB stating their name, chosen constituency, and their agenda. I will compile a dispatch of candidates and their platforms and pin it to the World Factbook at the top of the page. We will aim to start elections as soon as possible, so I would request that candidates declare ASAP.

Warm regards,
Not-Brittania

The United Colonies of Menorica would proudly like to serve as Secretary of State for Home Affairs under Her Majesty's Government. Thank You, Prime Minister.

Name: Trymdesia
Constituency: Northern Ireland
Agenda:

I would like to run as MP for Northern Ireland because while I am new to the region, I have a great knowledge and understanding of international politics. I came to the Empire of Great Britain because I am at heart a conservative and a unionist, I hail from Londonderry in Northern Ireland and I consider myself British. If elected I promise to represent the people of the Empire of Great Britain in government, I specialise on Home Affairs and Internal Security. I can also promise this region that I will always be honest and tell the truth, even if it costs me severely. I will scrutinise the Government at every turn and will make sure that my constituents concerns are conveyed. I would also like to thank you all for such a great welcome, and I very much look forward to meeting you all and getting involved in your community.

Thank you.

God Save Her Majesty Queen Victoria!

God Save the Empire of Great Britain!

Gwerncyned

Name: Gwerncyned
Constituency: Wales
Agenda:

I would like to declare my interest to stand as a candidate in the upcoming general election for the constituency of Wales. I am myself a Welsh resident who has a good knowledge of Welsh issues such as the conservation and promotion of the Welsh language. I was taught Welsh during my school years and have continued to use Welsh in my adult life. I am also a Historian and would be interested in creating an official history of the region if one does not exist already. Being a new member to the region I have noticed the great welcome that new members to the region have received. I would love to promote this as an MP. In terms of my political views I am a Democratic socialist, as well as this I believe that the union, the monarchy and the new constitution should be preserved in order to bring about a new period of stability within the Empire.
I would like to end with the Welsh national anthem:

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad,
Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.

Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad.
Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.

Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd,
Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn, i'm golwg sydd hardd;
Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si
Ei nentydd, afonydd, i fi.

Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad tan ei droed,
Mae hen iaith y Cymry mor fyw ag erioed,
Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad,
Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad.

Any remaining candidates for any of the parliamentary seats should declare as SOON AS POSSIBLE.

We will move forward with elections for those seats that have ANY candidates declared by Wednesday.

The founding father

Name: The founding father
Constituency: Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Candidacy Statement:

Today, I proudly declare my candidacy for the constituency of Scotland for the upcoming elections to the House of Commons.

Many of you will be familiar with my record of public service as I have a long association with the Empire and the former British Commonwealth of Free States. For those who are unfamiliar, I authored our original Constitution and I am the longest serving Foreign Secretary in our history. Most recently, I served as the 2nd Chief Justice of the Supreme Court until the dissolution of the court in June.

Should I be elected, it will be my intention to present bills which further develop our government and community. This would include acts which establish clear practices for royal succession, elections, roleplaying and the Imperial Map among other areas.

I am happy to reply to any telegrams, should any voters seek further information.

Thank you.

It was a difficult decision to make, but I am delighted to confirm my return to Cabinet Government as the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.

I would like to thank the Prime Minister for placing his trust in me. I will do my utmost best to represent the Empire on the world stage and I will work closely with the WA Delegate to ensure our interests abroad remain secure.

Many thanks,

Candidacy Statement:

Fellow citizens, I am today declaring my candidacy for the constituency of Southern England. I do this with a great sense of pride and gratitude.

As many of you know I have always taken a keen interest in our region’s politics. I served as our very first Speaker of the House of Commons through an admittedly tough, but interesting time, for the region. This role means I have invaluable knowledge and experience of our democratic system that I would be able to utilise effectively if given the opportunity to do so.

I worked very closely within the House of Commons and continuously pushed for progress and change for our region - which I promised in my original campaign for the role. But now I see this role as a new way to provide development for our fine region. This is because I feel we as a region deserve a bit of positivity and prosperity, something which has been missed.

If I am elected I will continue seeking positive change for our citizens, push bills through increasing democracy, increasing freedoms and increasing political participation so that all citizens are able to express their opinions and thoughts on a suitable platform. Likewise, my metaphorical door is always open, as it always shall be, for any and all queries or concerns.

Thank you for your time, I hope I am able to serve this region as well as it has served me,

“God Save the Queen!”

It’s a precarious situation.

In fairness, the Queen didn’t have a choice. Queen Elizabeth II is a constitutional monarch and must act on the advice of her Prime Minister and Secretaries of State.

Otherwise, the Queen would trigger a constitutional crisis and chaos would unfold.

I don't follow British Politics much (I'm an American), but I have since Prime Minister Johnson became Prime Minister. He's been in my news feed a lot lately. I can't really have an opinion on what he's doing because, to be honest, I have no idea what he's doing. (If someone could clear this up for me, that'd be great). I hear he's trying to get the UK to leave the EU. Is this true?

I honestly don’t know if I’m up to the task of explaining this in full, but I’ll try to summarise as best I can.

1. Theresa May, as Prime Minister, negotiated a Withdrawal Agreement with the European Union on how Britain would exit said Union.
2. Theresa May repeatedly failed to gain the support of Parliament for her negotiated ‘deal’ and lost every vote the House of Commons held on it.
3. Brexit was delayed from March until October 31st 2019. Parliament was split between MP’s who wanted a Negotiated Brexit, a No-Deal Brexit and a new referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union.
4. Unable to command enough support in the House of Commons to pass the agreement, May announced her resignation as Leader of the Conservative Party and as Prime Minister.
5. Boris Johnson was elected as the new Leader of the Conservative Party and invited by the Queen to form a government. The Conservatives hold a majority of one in Parliament, in a supply and demand agreement with the Democratic Unionst Party from Nothern Ireland.
6. The European Union maintains that the agreement they negotiated with Theresa May is not open for renegotiation. Despite Boris Johnson maintaining he can renegotiate or negotiate an entirely new deal.
7. Opposition parties have begun to develop a joint strategy to try to undermine Boris Johnson and the Government. This most likely includes staging a vote of no confidence in the House of Commons and trying to form a temporary coalition government.
8. Boris Johnson has asked the Queen to suspend Parliament so that MP’s will have less time to prevent either a No-Deal Brexit or win a confidence vote against the government.
9. It’s not clear to anyone what will happen next ...

If there is a hard border on the island Ireland then I am truly screwed, all my food and water comes from the republic. We rely so much on freedom of movement that any border arrangement no matter how weak would still have catastrophic consequences. There could even be a return violence...

Anyone who has even a basic understanding of the Troubles should know why that should never happen. Especially politicians.

Important Question to the Empire: If there is another N-Day event officially declared for this year, How prepared will the region be? And will Her Majesty grant the permission for the Empire to participate in the International annual event?

In the past, Shackley used to oversee this event as RP secretary. Should such an event be declared, Lunayria and I will likely organize our team.
