"My good sir, I think you will find the next training drills to your nation's likely. The Navy is currently planning a war game that is centered around a large scale fleet action followed by an opposed invasion. Bermuda would be part of this war game as well as Puerto Rico and a part of Florida. We're calling Operation Winter's Crown. The opposing forces is to attempt to invade Bermuda and Puerto Rico while striking at Florida while the defending side is to either wipe out or do enough damage to the attacker to force them back. It's long-term and should last about a month or so. In regards to morale, the sailors and airmen stationed in Bermuda are in high spirits as many of them were based at one point or another in more less warm regions and when you're stationed in the tropics after enduring the freezing cold for 6 months out of the year, you tend to be on your best behavior so as not to be shipped to the a**end of nowhere."

Ambassador Patrick Hodges: "I am sure that it will be closely followed. Perhaps we could send you, Horatio, or another member of our staff to observe the proceedings and how well things are going?"

Horatio Nelson (military attaché): "I would be honoured if such a thing would be allowed. It would allow us to look into procedures so that we can align them more in the future."

Ambassador Patrick Hodges: "Well, it is just an option. Of course, we will have to see if the Union Defense Department is willing to allow our presence.

There is one more thing I wanted to talk to you about, Secretary Miller. The burden of expenses, I hope that it is not too harsh?"

"With the way the economy is now, we have more than enough to cover expenses Ambassador. We've since recovered our losses following events a few years ago here in Washington and we've put paid to those who did such an act. In regards to your question Mr. Nelson, We'd be honored to have you and perhaps vessels of the Royal navy take part in the drills. We're still planning them but I'll inform you when we're ready to begin them."

Until then, we can focus on trade and other similar aspects.

Ilario: Of course, naturally.

Now, in which areas of the Furstian economy were you or your colleagues interested in? And which West African products or goods do you have in mind as well?

We also export uranium, gold, timber, bauxite, aluminum, manganese ore, diamonds, horticultural products, coffee, palm oil, cashew nuts, oil seeds, cotton-seed oil, poultry meat, and fish.

Imperial Duma Unanimously Approves New Blockchain Act

On October 13, The Imperial Duma voted unanimously to approve the “Token and Trustworthy Technology Service Providers Act” (abbreviated TTTSPA), the government announced on its website. The adoption comes after the government approved a motion in May to create the dedicated legislation which will now enter into force on Jan. 1, 2020.

With the new law, Romanovskaya becomes one of the first countries to comprehensively regulate the token economy, the government notes in its announcement. “On the one hand, the law regulates civil law issues in relation to client protection and asset protection. On the other hand, adequate supervision of the various service providers in the token economy will be established,” officials point out.

“With the TTTSPA, an essential element of the government’s financial market strategy will be implemented and Romanovskaya will be positioned as an innovative and legally secure location for providers in the token economy,” Finance Minister Daria Osennykh elaborated, as quoted in the press release.

Romanovskaya aims to create clarity with respect to digital securities, the government adds. Regulating the tokenisation of various rights and assets is the focal point of the legal document. As the CEO of Bitcoin Romanovskaya Ignatiy Chichikov put it, speaking to the Romanovan TV channel SNC, “The TTTSPA not only creates legal certainty for all market participants, but also heralds a new era, the token economy.”

The core concept of the law is the so-called “Token Container Model” within which “the token serves as a container for rights of all kinds, regardless of whether it is stock, real estate or license rights,” explains Ludomir Balakirev, whose law firm has been closely involved in the development of the legal framework. He believes this comprehensive approach is unique for Europe as it regulates token transfers as well, aligning them with civil law. This way, token transactions are fully defined in legal terms.

The TTTSPA bill is also commonly referred to as the “Blockchain Act.” It covers blockchain technologies under the term “TT systems” or “transaction systems based on trustworthy technologies,” the local crypto portal ico.rm notes. In an effort to expand its scope as much as possible, Romanovskaya lawmakers have intentionally adopted this quite abstract definition in order to encompass future developments in the field and new generations of crypto-related technologies.

The Token Act also incorporates measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing by subjecting service providers to due diligence rules and regulations. The government wouldn’t risk compromising with that aspect as it hopes to become a major European fintech hub. The country wishes to be viewed as the 'European Crypto Valley' and host the offices of several dozen companies from the sector, including entities dealing with crypto assets. Numerous crypto companies are believed to have already expressed interest in basing themselves in Romanovskaya because of the country's clarity in regulating digital currencies and blockchain technology.

The adoption of the law is important in the light of Romanovskaya being a member of the European free trade organisation (EFTO). That means crypto companies based or represented in its jurisdiction will be able to enjoy easier access to the other EFTO markets as well as compatibility with the legal frameworks of other countries in the organisation.

‘Blockchain Law’ to Encompass Future Technologies

The TTTSPA bill is also commonly referred to as the “Blockchain Act.” It covers blockchain technologies under the term “TT systems” or “transaction systems based on trustworthy technologies,” the local crypto portal ico.rm notes. Ilario: In that case, I suppose that West African chocolate factories will benefit from this meeting the most.

However, and I apologize if this proves to be an inconvenient, Furstia and South China have a long-standing deal regarding our crude exports and we cannot offer your nation an agreement in that regard, as it would be detrimental to our domestic consumption.

But, as means of compensation for the lost opportunity, Furstia could arrange profitable deals concerning uranium and manganese ores.

Madaki: That's understandable, completely! A long-standing deal shouldn't be broken unless in dire circumstances. Unfortunately, I cannot give any slight specifics, but a meeting can be arranged between our trade departments to work such things out.

Besides trade, however, I'd like to talk about the situation that Furstia has been facing regarding the International Security Alliance. As I've previous stated, they've tried to sway us, first, into condemning you, and, second, into changing our current stance. Certain nations of the alliance have a military base in our nation. One of them being within 175 kilometers of our shared border. That equals to a 7-hour drive, or a 45-minute flight to here, Puerto Deseado. I bring this up in the event that they decide to move on to your nation for the accusations against your nation that they believe are gospel. As of now, they are sitting in the base, as we are still part of the alliance and we aren't condemned by the whole group. If the vote passes for West Africa to leave, we can secure that they won't do anything, at least from our side.

Nonetheless, if you have anything else to add, or want to bring anything to light, please do so. My last note is that I'd wish to have another meeting after the vote, whatever the final decision may be. I very much doubt that the ISA will even like the idea that we're voting to leave.

Ilario: Yes, I'll speak with my Minister of Economy after our meeting.

Regarding any possible security concerns, Furstia is well prepared to defend itself.
However, I must remark that the viability of any possible future military cooperation projects between our countries depend on whatever happens in your nation in that aspect.

I am more than willing to have another meeting with you, President Madaki. I believe that these meetings signal the beginning of a prosperous and peaceful future for Furstian-West African relations.
If you desire, our next encounter could take place in your nation's capital.

Prime Minister Timofey Shevelyok and Deputy Prime Minister Daria Osennykh greet President Roosevelt as he arrives at Parliament House, Vyborg. The each stand on the steps to the entrance and pose for photographs for the press and then make their way inside. Going straight to the meeting room, they each take a seat and begin discussions.

Timofey Shevelyok: "President Roosevelt it is an absolute pleasure to have you here in Romanovskaya. I want to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to meet us here today. May I also express our sympathies following the attack on your nation that recently took place.

Daria Osennykh: "President Roosevelt, as I am sure you would agree, we feel that there should be closer cooperation between our two nations with regards to trade. In a world that is getting smaller thanks to the advancement of technology, the constraints of our geographic locations have less of an effect. Despite the vast distance between our two nations there is a superb opportunity to develop trade between us, particularly in the services sector and the financial and banking sectors. I would be very intrigued to hear your opinion on this.

Prime Minister's Audience
~ Londinium Palace, Orange-bourgogne

CONFIDENTIAL

His Majesty King Henry prepared to receive Prime Minister Nichola Pankhurst MP (SRF) in his office for their weekly private audience. As always, the Crown Equerry accompanied the Prime Minister through the palace upstairs, where the King awaited them. The Crown Equerry then announced to His Majesty that Nichola Pankhurst had arrived, and the King nodded to acknowledge her and invited her to enter the room. Subsequently, the room was shut and no one was allowed in for the remainder of the conversation.

His Majesty King Henry I: “Welcome back, Prime Minister. How are things going in Downing Street?”

Prime Minister Nichola Pankhurst MP (SRF): “It is a pleasure to be here once more, Your Majesty. Sire, the Lower House will vote on the Green Strategy policy and thereafter it will be implemented. The Chancellor of the Exchequer is looking into measures to bring the economy back to where it was before our term in office.

Furthermore, the Ambassador to the Union had an audience with the Union Defence Secretary during which it was confirmed that training operations took place to ‘defend’ Bermuda. A larger such operation is still being planned.

Finally, Your Majesty, the administration would like to suggest that you make a short tour to the other European parts of the Kingdom next month. We think it will further improve your popularity and as tensions rise ever more between the groups that form our society, it is important to bond our people together. Would you like to co-operate with us in this matter?"

His Majesty King Henry: "But is that not also the time when a Royal Proclamation ought to be issued calling for a General Election?"

Prime Minister Nichola Pankhurst: "That is correct, Your Majesty. However, we also thought that. I propose that a commission be created consisting of the Internal Affairs Secretary, the Justice Secretary, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, the Deputy Prime Minister, and myself to formally proclaim the General Election in your name, Sire."

His Majesty King Henry: "If such is the case, then I am prepared to make the tour."

And with that, the audience was over and Prime Minister Nichola Pankhurst returned to 13 Downing Street.

Election Commission President's Office, Trebinje, Autonomous Province Herzegowina

The president of the election commission was sitting in his armchair. He was looking at the mobile phone. He stood up and looked out the window. It was already deep into the night. He walked over to the table and lit a cigar. As he was an older man, he immediately returned and sat on his armchair. He heard a knock on the door. He gave permission to enter. An assistant came in with a stack of papers.
Miomir Stamenkovic: "What is that Mile?"
Mile: "The papers contain the names and biographies of potential presidential candidates. You have to choose 5 presidential candidates."
Miomir Stamenkovic: "Thanks. I totally forgot. Thanks again. You're free. I'll see you tomorrow."
Mile: "Good night."
Commission president Stamenkovic just nodded. He immediately took the first piece of paper in his hand and started to read. He read with great boredom. He got up and walked a little. Soon he came back and sat down. He kept reading. He had a paper next to him writing down candidates. He has already written 3 candidates. "Just two more and I'm done," he told himself. He read biographies and was constantly bored with boredom. But his 25 years of experience had some criteria. Under first, he had to see if the potential candidate had committed war crimes, whether he had ever committed any criminal offenses, and was over 35 years old. He selected 4 candidates. He dropped his pen. He removed a glass of whiskey and a glass of whiskey from the drawer. He poured himself a glass of whiskey and drank it. "You regained your power, Miomir, go back to work," he said to himself again. After half an hour, he also picked a fifth candidate. He called the secretary to the office.
He said:"Natalija, call a press conference tomorrow. I have to announce the names of the presidential candidates."
Secretary: "Okay."
The president of the election commission nodded and shook his hand. He was tired. He still has tomorrow to make his names public, and he's done his job.

OOC:

Greetings all, SC here.

To those of you who are new - hello, I do indeed exist here and have mostly functioned in the background for some time now. Perhaps you encountered me in the application process - for your sake, I hope not :')

To those of you who are veterans, well, you know me.

Whatever the case, I'm sure we all knew this moment would have to come at some point. I'm sure I've been broadly forgotten in terms of RP - that's ok, it has been some 2 years since I posted anything meaningful - and surely many of you surmised I would simply fade away like so many others who have departed this region. No such luck - well, in the fading part.

The time has finally come, and I certainly owe it to this region - and my respect for it - to give a formal announcement of my secession of RP activities. For too long I have languished while doing too little, all the while having a history of disparaging those who did just the same, but did not have the title of 'admin', as I do. This time shall now come to a close.

From my introduction as that weird new guy who kinda pulled off the Olympics, to the AF-QP conflict, my near-personal war with EL that almost broke the region, and then the TCC days and beyond, I've enjoyed thoroughly my time within this region and it has certainly, in its own myriad of ways, proven formative over the past five years of my life. Pleasureful as well, to say the least - and for that I have to thank the bulk of you, those of you who have too, stuck with it through thick and thin.

But alas, I'm sure all vets knew it would come at some point, as it will for all of us; my time here has come to an end. I've wrangled with this problem for roughly a year now, but have finally cleared the last hurdle - my own reluctance and reminiscence - and have come to accept that my position on the map is perhaps better used by someone else at this point.

For fear of rambling on, I'll bring this to a conclusion, my point being made. Thanks for everything - everyone - and I look forward to interacting with you in the future. Unless you should force me, I have few intentions to depart the discord (I do, of course, still thoroughly enjoy my once-monthly rants and debates - your presence in this region signals we have at least one thing in common and that is interest in geopolitics), and I have full intentions to offer my occasional services to the Regional Administration should they desire them. Such a decision I leave to Labyrnna. Him, alongside Imperial Eagle, I'd like to single out as particular recipients of my respect and admiration, if not for what they do in sight of the region but indeed too behind the scenes. We've seen it all gentlemen, it was a pleasure to have you - and many others who I will not list for fear of simply listing everyone, here and departed - at my side through it all.

While I assign it a low probability, perhaps I will indeed return at some point in the future - I can still feel the drive occasionally - but for now, I will leave it to rest.

As my final formal diktat as RP coord - The rexist rijk you may remove Southwest China from the map.
