~ Department of State for External Affairs

Due to the currently ongoing violent attacks from dissidents against this lawful administration, the Department of State for External Affairs, in conjunction with the Departments of State for Internal Affairs and Defence, the situation with regards to Westminster City has been examined and now been declared very dangerous for foreign representatives. Because we can no longer absolutely guarantee safety for such diplomats as are situated in Westminster City, the following has been decided:

- All diplomatic representations, such as embassies and consulates, are strongly encouraged to leave Westminster City within 72-hours for their own safety. Diplomats that do not wish to go may stay at their own risk.
- Diplomats that do want to leave the area, will be escorted by troops from the 6th Corps and ground troops from the Royal Aerial Forces.
- Diplomatic representations may be established at the Isle of Wight. The isle has been declared neutral territory by both parties and both parties will refrain from attacking it; thus we will allow diplomats to continue their important work.
- Diplomats not willing to leave the city must identify themselves to the Department of State for External Affairs within 48-hours.

Thank you for your application. After review by the board of directors of the Romanovskaya Energy Commission we have elected to not take up your offer of an MSR reactor. We consider it key that the reactor is an EPR model pressurised water reactor. We will welcome a revised application should your company wish to make one.

Greetings,

Nucleoeléctrica Furstiana has taken interest in the offer released by the REC, concerning the potential construction of a nuclear power plant in Romanovskaya.

This company has the necessary experience for the project, as it has built and currently operates - with no complications of any kind - the two existing nuclear power plants in Furstia: Zangana and Dopanu. The facilities have an installed capacity of 3,000 MWe and 9,600 MWe, respectively.

Our proposition for the project is to construct a single reactor, identical to one of those currently in operation today at the Dopanu NPP (the newest facility in Furstia).

However, said proposition would would differ in the design of the reactor requested by the REC. Nonetheless, we believe that said aspect could be superseded by benefits such as:

- A reduced construction timeframe (Optimal estimatives placed at 1 year and a half).

- A nominal capacity of 2,400 MWe would exceed the required minimum production output, requested by the REC.

- Reduced construction costs could save the REC up to $1,000,000,000.

As well, Nucleoeléctrica Furstiana would adequately capacitate the operators assigned at the new facility as safety is a paramount aspect of all our operations in Furstia.

With no other matters to attend to, we expect to hear from the REC soon.

Respectfully,
Carlos González, Director of Nucleoeléctrica Furstiana

Foreign minister begins visit to Romanovskaya

HRH Prince Thani bin Ahmed Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has officially begun his visit to Vyborg, Romanovskaya where he will meet with his Romanovan counterpart, HE Foreign Minister Yuriy Illyushin. The two ministers will discuss preliminary talks to prepare for an official state visit by Romanovan officials to Jeddah early next year.

Romanovskaya is a small, yet burgeoning economic power that boasts one of the highest per capita incomes in Europe and offers an extremely pro-business free-trade thriving economy. The country's most important import is energy, of which it imports over 85%.

That percentage directly contrasts with the Kingdom, which controls 49% of the world's crude petroleum reserves, which it exports across the globe. Romanovskaya is a key market that has not seen much Saudi activity in the past. However with the civil war engulfing Orange-bourgogne, many wealthy Saudis are looking at other parts of Europe that can both accommodate their summer tourism and offer a new market to invest in.

Prince Thani will lead a delegation that will include the King's eldest son, Prince Rashid bin Sultan, who is also Deputy Foreign Minister & Vice-Chairman of the Saudi Assets Investment Authority (SAIA); the Minister of Finance, H.E. Ahmed bin Tariq Al Assaf; the Minister of Energy, H.E. Dr. Suhail bin Jassim Al Noami; as well as several Saudi business magnates that will be representing their corporations.

PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS, VYBORG, Romanovskaya

The Saudi delegation received a warm welcome on their arrival to Vyborg. Deputy Prime Minister, Daria Osennykh and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yuriy Illyushin greeted the Saudi delegation at the airport. From there they made their way to Parliament Buildings in downtown Vyborg. There, the rest of the Romanovan delegation including Minister of Transport & Infrastructure, Tereza Lyalyushkina, CEO of the Romanovskaya Energy Commission, Maria Leonova, Chairman of RGT Group, His Highness Prince Dmitri Rostislavich Romanoff and various other Romanovan business representatives.

Romanovskaya views Saudi Arabia as a key economic partner as the Romanovan economy currently relies on the import of energy from outside the state. The Romanovan financial sector is eager to expand into Saudi Arabia with a growing number of wealthy individuals within Saudi Arabia can benefit from the world renowned Romanovan financial services and wealth management expertise.

The goal of the meeting is to establish a free trade agreement between the two nations with Romanovan officials confident a deal can be done as both nations respect the principals of the free market and a deal is seen a mutually beneficial.

Addressing your inquiry for further information, the Dopanu NPP operates four RBMKP-2400 nuclear reactors.

We are aware of the substantial difference this would represent in regards to the requested design by the REC. However, in addition to the previously mentioned benefits of this type of reactor, we wish to remark certain aspects to be taken into consideration.

- The design of an EPR nuclear reactor presents - as you are surely aware - significant challenges regarding its construction, which would place unforseen financial expenses on the REC.

- As the general public might be oppossed to the construction of an RBMKP-2400 reactor, possibly due to an incomplete perspective concerning nuclear power, we can assure the REC that all necessary safety measures are strictly followed to avoid any sorts of incidents.

506 control rods (108 of which can be manually controlled) are found in this design that we propose, all of them, identical to the designs approved post-1986 for an improved capacity of control. The emergency shutdown system only requiring of 12 seconds from the moment of activation until completion.

Additionally, a reinforced containment structure with a capacity to withstand up to 80 psi of pressure would be constructed, according to the request made by the REC.

If further information is required by the REC, we will gladly respond as soon as it possible. We appreciate your consideration.

Kachidoki, Chuo City, Tokyo, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan

A tall, darkly dressed man walked into a residential tower in Kachidoki. He moved past the people in the lobby and made his way towards the elevator. As he was walking towards the elevator, it opened allowing two armed guards to walk out into the crowd. The man quickly turned to his right to head for the stairwell, making sure he avoided the guards. He entered the stairwell and quickly made his way up to the sixth floor.

He barged onto the sixth floor, turning left to find a specific room. He found the room, 665. He knocked on the door three times, hesitated, and knocked one more time. "Hairu!", he heard called out from the room. He walked into the room and was met with two stark men in suits with an older man sitting in the middle. The darkly dressed man bowed to the older man and then sat down in front of him.

The older man spoke first. "I'm glad I could meet finally meet you. Your reputation proceeds you, Sairento. You know why I asked you here." he said. Sairento nodded. "You have a target you want me to hunt down." he said. "That is true. I was told you were the best, but you're also very expensive." said the man.

Sairento nodded again. "What's your bounty of this person?" he asked. "One hundred million United States dollars. I feel that this will suffice any troubles you have to go through getting to the target." he said. "Very much so. I am guessing you want them gone, Mr. Ketsueki." said Sairento. "Yes. I don't care how you do it. I want them dead. Kill them, being proof, and you'll have another job on your hands for the same price, maybe more. Before we get to that, you'll leave here when I'm done. You'll be sent a picture, and a last known location. Mataatode." said Ketsueki.

Sairento nodded and then made his way back to the stairs. He walked down to the lobby and out the front door of the building. Once he walked for a minute, he got a notification on his phone. He saw the photo of the person. Underneath the photo read: Hachioji.

War Report: Foreign assistance
~ OBBC News

We begin this War Report by the events that occurred in the city of Amsterdam. There, armed troops that pledged allegiance to Arthur of Avalon, tried to capture the city in the name of their political hero. However, the civilian population turned against them. Though previous allegations of occupying an hospital turned out to be false, the public obviously do not trust their "liberators" any longer.

The Union's 4th Fleet began sailing northwards earlier and has now almost reached the coast of the Province of Orange, where it is expected that they will help evacuating Avalon's soldiers present in the area.

In Westminster on the other hand, Operation Expulsion is going better and better for Avalon. The 3rd Corps has made great successes and controls most of the southern half of Westminster City, while the 6th Corps has yet to reach the Coldstream Guards and The Rifles.

The Grenadier Guards were particularly successful when they captured the Tower Bridge before Pankhurst's troops could blow it up. It is said that the latter were just trying to do so when the Grenadiers appeared and took control over the sector.

The Civilian War did not proceed without further human costs, though. In the engagements between the various units, it is speculated that another 500 soldiers have been either killed or wounded, and double those figures to get an estimation for civilian casualties as well.

Union Embassy reply to Mrs. Pankhurst

Though it has been stated that the Union Embassy will not depart from Westminster, all recognition of your government has been revoked due to the nature of events now ongoing and earlier executions done to peaceful protesters, including members of the Opposition. And as stated before, though we understand there were violent protesters in the crowd during the March for Equality, the ones sentenced to death and then hanged were not violent but critics of the government wanting new elections, PEACEFUL elections. As to the nature of the 4th Fleet's actions, it is both humanitarian and military in nature. One, it safeguards Innocent lives and two, it prevent un-needed military action in the city of Amsterdam. However, in the interest of resolving this civil war in a peaceful matter, Ambassador Forestall, along with Lt. Commander David Davenport will meet with the Prime Minister at the agreed spot under the condition no overt hostile actions are taken against the 4th Fleet.

  • NEW YEAR ADDRESS TO THE NATION

H.S.H Princess Zephyrine I of Romanovskaya: Citizens of Romanovskaya, Friends,

We are on the threshold of a New Year, year 2020. Although we celebrate this every year, we are always happy to usher the year in as something new, hoping that the wishes we make at the stroke of midnight do come true. New Year’s Eve is above all a family celebration. We mark it just as we did when we were children, with presents and pleasant surprises, as well as with a special warmth and expectation for change.

Change will certainly come to our lives if each of us takes care of our parents and values every minute we spend with them, if we try to better understand our children and their aspirations and dreams, and if we support those nearest to us who need our help and our generosity.

The ability to help, to show concern and understanding for others and to do good deeds fills our lives with true human meaning. As we celebrate, be it with family and friends, or out in the streets, we all share the same festive mood, while modern technology allows us to share our feelings with our nearest and dearest who may be hundreds or even thousands of kilometres away.

As usual, my special words are extended to those who are working at the moment, who are doing their policing or professional duty at hospitals or on board aircraft or trains.

We are all together on this wonderful New Year’s night. We are also together in our everyday life as well. Unity, friendship and selfless love for Romanovskaya multiply the strength we need for worthy deeds and high achievements.

I am sincerely grateful to all of you for believing in yourself and in our country, for your work and its results. I hope there will always be trust and mutual understanding in your life.

Embrace, say words of love, and show that you really care. May the life of each family and individual improve for the better, may you all be healthy, may children be born that make us happy. I wholeheartedly wish happiness and all the very best to all of you, as well as peace and prosperity to Romanovskaya, our one and only homeland.

    Happy New Year 2020!

During Prime Minister’s Questions, opposition Constitutional Democratic Party MP Justin Chang asked Prime Minister Chang Siu Chiu the Government’s position on the ongoing crisis in Orange-bourgogne and on Lanfang’s recognition of the Pankhurst government.

In response, Prime Minister Chang stated: “The United Kingdom of Orange-bourgogne is one of our closest friends owing to our deep, historical, and special relationship. The Lanfang Government’s view on this relationship has not changed. It is the view of this government that the ongoing crisis in Orange-Bourgogne is an internal matter and it is not for the Lanfang Government to interfere in.”

Shadow Foreign Minister Chandran Ashant (Democratic Labour Party) later accused the prime minister of dodging the question and failing to take a strong position on a vital foreign policy issue. However, Mr. Ashant himself was accused of failing to take a position on the issue by CDP leader Justin Chang, who unequivocally condemned the Pankhurst government and expressed the Constitutional Democratic Party’s support for the Opposition in Orange-Bourgogne regardless of ideological differences.

RTL News politics analyst Alyssa Liu reports the Prime Minister’s statement represents an adoption of “strategic neutrality” on the Orange-Bourgogne issue to avoid angering either side of the conflict.

Prime Minister gives last new years adress, wishes for good election

The Fosnian Prime Minister, Karl David Willoch held his last ever New Year's adress as Prime Minister today, after officialy announcing that he will not run for re-election in the 2020 election last summer.
Willoch, who has been the prime minister since 2008, encouraged Fosnians to vote their concience after what has been a tough year for the cabinet, and for Fosnians in general. Current polls show record-low support for the current governing parties, the Centre party and Worker's party of Fosna, after numerous scandals and inability to handle crisis situations during the past year. Infact, the polls show that the two parties together will most likely be 50 MPs short of a majority, despite their record majority of 188 MPs (165 required for Majority) in the 2016 election. The election is set to take place in the end of January.

VG.fn has, through unofficial polls listed the top five scandals of 2019 after a vote through our website:

    number 5: Justice minister's Husband
The Husband of the Minister for Justice immigration and Emergency Planning, Nina Unni Fredheimsnes was arrested on the 13th of May 2019 for several crimes, including filing false police reports, criminal damage to public property, and planning a terrorist act, after it was discovered that several attacks against the Fredheimsnes family private residence was infact comitted by him, in order to create sympathy for the family. The attacks included setting the family car on fire, and painting "racist scum" on the garage wall of the house. Mr. Fredheimsnes was also charged with planning terrorism, after he admitted purchasing materials for, and making pipe bombs, which he planned to set off in the offices of the Justice departement.
Nina Unni Fredheimsnes has since filed for divorce, and despite extreme criticism, has refused to resign her post.

Number 4: Hustadvik Cruise ship Disaster
The Cruise ship Viking Sky ran aground in a violent storm off Hustadvika on the 23th of march, carrying 1373 passengers. The ships engines stopped working in the storm due to the waves flooding the exhaust system, and drifted towards the Hustadvik reef, where it crashed and started taking on water. Despite the best efforts from civillians, emergency responders, the Military and other ships in the area, 63 people, most of them tourists, were killed in the disaster, and the ship was sunk. The government recieved massive criticism in the aftermath of the disaster, after they had for several years cut defense spending, and cut spending in the healthcare sector, aswell as changing the main helicopter rescue base from Kristiansund to Nidaros. Kristiansund is 15 minutes by air to Hustadvika, while Nidaros is 70 minutes. The crisis also recieved international criticism, as the cruise ship company, which is registered in Fosna, refused to take responcibility for the accident, citing Fosnian insurance laws passed in 2014.

Number 3: The Welfare "fraud" scandal
In September of 2019, the Fosnian ministry of Ministry of Health and Care Services announced that due to its misinterpritation of laws passed by the Fosnian Parliament in 2013, it had reported over 20.000 recipients of welfare in Fosna to the police on incorrect grounds, over a period of 7 years, leading to over 15.000 false convictions and jail sentences. The cabinet, who also pushed the laws in parliament was heavily criticed for this mistake.

Number 2: The Hamburg Labour day Riots
On the 1st of May, a large rally for North German independce held in the Rathaus square of Hamburg turned violent after Hamburg police started using teargas against what seemed to be peaceful demonstrators. Over 20.000 people quickly rioted, causing several hundred millions of damage to the city, and leading to over 4.000 arrests. the cricis was condemned by the international community, rekindleing the debate of German unification, and the Fosnian government was heavily criticized for the poor and strict handling of the situation. In Fosnian politics, despite united opinion in parliament against German re-unification, the largest opposition party, the Conservatives, started to support a larger degree of North German autonomy.

Number 1. Prime Minister's Sex scandal
The Prime Minister, Karl David Willoch worked as a Priest in the capital of Nidaros for 20 years, before becoming the Minister of Minister of Religious affairs in year 2000, kicking off his political career. During his Priesthood, and later in his political career, Willock has allways held somewhat concervative opinions on Marriage, and especially Gay marriage, calling Homosexuality "against Christian ethics" and Homosexual marriage "an act that would anger God".
In November of 2019, several videos surfaced online of the Prime Minister himseld engaging in Homosexual intercourse at a Hotel in Oslo. Since then, 12 men has spoken officialy in the media, claiming that they had had sexual relationships with the Prime Minister, including the man in the video. the oldest allegation of a sexual relationship was from 1989. Several of the men had also worked as male prostitutes, while one man, Lars Veidal claimed to have had a mutual sexual relatioship with the Prime Minister from 1995 to 1997; when he was a priest, and he was a singer in the Church choir at Nidaros cathedral. Veidal was 15 years old when the relationship started. Despite the facts that the purchase of sexual services is illegal in Fosna, and that the age of consent in Fosna beeing 16, no charges have yet been brought against the Prime Minister as of yet.

New election poll shows massive political shifts
Fosna has been controlled allmost single-handedly by the Worker's Party (AP), and by the Centre Party (SP) in and out of coalitions since the 1970s. However, mostly due to the recent scandals and turmoil in Fosnian politics, recent polls, made by FosStatistic for VG, Aftenposten and Dagbladet newspapers, it seems people are fleeing theese parties as if they were touched by the plauge.

Some people are fleeing to the Left, mostly Worker's Party ExPats, who would never have concidered anything more to the right than the Worker's party. Infact, if the election were today, the Red Election Alliance (R), formerly known as the Fosnian Marxist Party (MX), would gain around 35 MPs, all from the Worker's party, a 900% increase in their reperesentatives since last election. This alone would make the current cabinet loose their majority. But that's not all.

If the election were today, the controlling coalition would end up with a total of only 53 reperesentatives; The Worker's party (AP) with 30, and the Centre party (SP) with 23. This would be a loss of not only their majority, but a loss of 135 MPs; but over 3/4ths of their current representation. This is a devestating blow to both parties.

Now, most people fleeing the parties are going to the right, and to spesific-case parties.

The Christian Democratic Party (KrF) would gain 21 MPs from both parties. Not surprisingly, their support is increasing mostly in Southern Fosna, and in Finland, North Germany, and Novgorod & Kola.

The Conservative Party (H) would gain 32 MPs, also from both parties. This party is also, not surprisingly increasing the most in around the larges cities, but also in rural districts in Finland, Sweden and Western Fosna.

Theese two parties are cooperating in Parliament, and have discussed the possibility of a Coalition. However, according to this poll, they would gain together 158 MPs; 9 short of a majority. They would then have to rely on a third party to gain a majority.

The Liberal Party (V) would also make a Comeback in Parliament; with 6 MPs. They have not been reperesented since 2012; when its leadership had to resign in discrace due to the leadership antisemitism scandal; Where it's leader, Thor Bjølsen was arrested in his home with over 1000 items of what was dubbed "Nazi memorobilia". Several others in the party leadership was also arrested.
The party has since condemned its former leadeship. Some former prominant members has since moved on to the Fosna Party (FP).

The Enviormentalist Party (MdG) is perhaps the largest surprise in this poll. They would gain 31 MPs; up from its current 6. Fosna is a proud oil-producing nation, and prides itself on its industry, both of which the Enviormentalists have been very vocal against in their party plattform; among other things running on stopping all petroleum production in Fosna within 2030. The Enviormentalists are gaining most in the age groups 18 to 25, and 26 to 36.

The Fosna Party, dubbed by the political left and the Jewish Party as the "Nazi Party of Fosna", are gaining by 10 MPs. This would give them a total of 30 MPs, and could, if the Conservatives and Christian Democrats would concider it, break a tie and help create a majority. This party has had several issues with Antisemitism and Racist statements aswell, and claim that they do infact have no intention if entering in to a coalition; but would only govern if they gained a full majority.

The Jewish Party of Fosna (Z), and the North-German Freedom Party (D) would gain 3 and 2 reperesentatives, respectivly.

The Jewish Party is a Zionist interest party, and have had stable repersentation in Parliament since 1945, when it was created. Fosna took in over 600.000 Jewish refugees between 1929 and 1940, when WWII broke out. This party runs on a plattform of issues important to the Jewish population of Fosna.

The North-German Freedom Party was created in 1994; when a "Normalization" of the political climate lead to, according to them, the need for a coalition of politicians who would fight for German Independence and Reunification.

This poll was conducted between the 26th of December and 2nd of January, and asked a total of 30421 people from all over Fosna, of ages between 18 and 92.

    Tokyo News Now!

Last night, Prime Minister Kyoji issued an executive order that deals with late-night programming on televisions. The specific late-night television programs that this order will effect are shows that feature full nudity. Originally, these shows were allowed to air from 10:00PM to 5:00AM, but the hours have been shortened to 12:00PM to 4:00AM. This is to ensure that the number of younger viewers watching these shows decrease. This order, again, is only effecting shows that show full nudity, people with no article of clothing on.

An explosion occurred today in Hachioji, a district of Tokyo. Police are unsure as to what caused the explosion. Fifteen people were injured, but the one death counted was not due to the explosion. It is currently unclear as to the cause of death. Police are looking into the matter as we speak.

Democratic and Freedom-Party Rebels form Breakaway Group

After large conflict within the secondary coalition partner of the Demokratische Partei over the perceived rejection of centrism by its leadership following the choice to allow a leftist silvasi government and criticism within the main opposition party of the Donau-Freiheitspartei against the extremist leadership, which many blame for their loss in the election a number of politicians from both parties have announced their agreement to rebel against both party leaderships in an attempt to form a new center-right bloc in the Bundesrat.

33 Democratic Members and 84 Freedom Party Members have pledged their loyalty or support to this new party, although once the party is officially declared in their upcoming conference it is unsure how many will officially join the party and how many will simply choose to remain as independants. This represents a fundamental shift in the current Danubian political situation with the governments working majority how almost quartered from 45 to only 12 and this independant faction now acting as the third largest party in the Bundesrat.

This faction is operating under the working title of the Vereinigte Donaupartei (United Danubia Party). Teo Žunić, a Carniolan Conservative politician and prominent member of the Freedom Party is among the rebels and many cite them as a potential leader for this new party thanks to their prominence in the national center-right and their long political career backing them up. With the Left-Leaning Government of the SDP-DDP coalition becoming a lot weaker following these events, Sara Silvasi may have to tread carefully if she wishes to retain her coalition.

    Election Results are in!
As the last votes were counted from all the way away in Varnek town, the final results of the election are finally in!
The big winner of the election, was as expected, The Conservative Party, with 34% of the votes; now the Largest party in Fosna. They will gain 108 MPs in Parliament.
Other winners in the election are the Red Election Alliance; who gained 8.7% (29MPs), The Christian Democrats (14.7% and 49MPs) and The Enviormentalist Party, who gained 10.2%, and 35 MPs.

There is also now a 10th party in the Parliament; the Liberal Party. They did not pass the election threshold of 3%; but did gain seats in several districts by lone votes. They ended up with 2,1%, and 7 MPs. Surprising however, is that the Liberal Party gained 3 seats alone in the Storkalmar region of Sweden; right next to the Danish border.

The Largest loosers in this election was, also not unsurprisingly, the Worker's Party, and the Centre Party. Their support and representation from the last election was completely destroyed; together they only gained 17.7%; and 59 MPs. All but two current members of the outgoing cabinet also lost their seats in Parliament.

The Conservative Party and the Christian Democrats have allready announced that they will be looking to form a Cabinet; but since they are 9 seats short of a Majority, they will have to look for other parties to form a cabinet with; or to support them on a common plattform.

The Conservatives and Christian democrats have however allready announced that the Conservatives will gain the seat of Prime Minister; making the Conservative Leader, Johanne Gunnarova Kulikova the upcoming Prime Minister.

Kulikova will be the Third female Prime Minister of Fosna; but the first one of Novgorodian and Karelian heritage. She will also be the Youngest Prime Minister in Fosna's history, at only 31 years old.
Kulikova grew up in the small town of Kulikovo (pop. 102), only 3 kilometers from the border with Romanovskaya, in the Novgorod Principality region of Fosna.
Kulikova's upbringing was poor; and she was raised by a single mother, after her father died in a timbermill accident when she was 7 years old. Her mother died in a car accident on her 25th birthday.
She is unmarried, and has no children. She was educated at the Fosnian University of Technical and Natural Sciences (FTNU). She graduated in 2014 with a Master's degree in International Politics.
She is also the fluent speaker of 7 languages; Fosnian, Karelian, Russian, English, German, Arabic and Mandarin Chineese.

VG.fn Congratulates Kulikova on her election.
