Clearly that continent brought every surprise you could expect, first the vestians and now The Janian State sends an message to everyone in Aerth. For certain some have bad memories of how interactions with mysterious nations did ended, even if in the long run it all went well with the Overlordians becoming allies of this great nation like Russia is an key ally to the nation.

But that doesn't get to what was to happen, luckily now things were different so even with an mysterious Janian State, talks would be friendly.

As such when the soldiers appeared talking on code numbers, the military was ready for any suspicious movement even if it didn't happen.

The welcome committee was led by The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francesca Artemis. Her calm aura wasn't because of overconfidence but just pure tranquility.

As the soldiers approached with their diplomat she bowed at them on respect while smiling.

"Good evening, if I could ask, who of you is Sir Drago??"

Their uniforms didn't helped a bit so she was forced to ask considering the situation.

Mandor was the only unique looking one amongst them, but of course there is no official photos of him so it'd be hard to tell. The blond haired man in a black uniform extended his hand.
"I am Administrator Mandor Drago of the Janian State. Pleasure"

Before Anunsei could continue with her sentence a voice rang out from behind them; that Similar and nearly remarkable to that of a Feminine voice, yet consisting of an unknown accent as it continued to speak;

    | "If she could.. what exactly?" |

Should the both of them look behind themselves they would find themselves glancing at a figure much taller than themselves, who's skin that of a Hairless near snowy white coloration and who's facial apperance was that of alien, consisting of four darkened eyes, atop her head consisted that of two additional ears, similar to that of his yet with the same coloration and hairless feature as herself

He nodded at her explanation, suspecting she wasn't feeling too good due to the tone of her voice. But before he could think any further, he heard this new alien voice, causing his ears to rotate first and then his entire head and body followed. He looked up, and then up and down before focusing on the new arrived person's face. She certainly didn't look like Anunsei or others he saw here so far. Her appearence reminded him of the sacred cats back in Kemet, but way bigger. He smiled instinctively and nodded towards her, waiting for them to greet each other, trying not to interrupt old friends. He even let Anunsei's hand go so she could hug her friend or whatever they used to do in their culture.

They of course are permitted to exit. Outside it'd be rainy, thunder could be heard in the skies.
There'd be a path from the plane lined by CP officers, all identical in uniform.
"VIP's are uh mobilizing.", one amongst them would say into their comms. "ETA on the 11-48 for that 11-51?", another spoke.
"10-4, 10 seconds out."
By the time the Emissaries reached the end of the path made by the officers 3 APC's be there and they'd be shown in the middle one then driven into the city. The streets would seem to be devoid of life. They'd go through numerous checkpoints until they reached the center of city 01, the towering citadel. The emissaries are shown inside and to a large meeting room where there'd be 10 people sat waiting for the Overlordians to do the same.
"Greetings.", a man sitting at the head of the table spoke.
"I am A-01 but you can call me Administrator Tyrann."

The Overlordian jet would land perfectly in the designated area. Despite the stormy nature of the LZ the Emissaries would emerge from the jet looking unphased from flight or rain. They were virtually identical looking; Tall and dressed in a black and red simple uniform with no distinguishing markings of any kind. They would take a brief look around at their environment with cold and calculating expression before walking down the row in perfect unison.

Once in the APC they would keep a highly analytical view of the area they passed through. Keeping count it would seem of everything they passed by.

When they finally arrived at the citadel both would move forward following as instructed until they arrived at the meeting chamber. Both would look from face to face briefly before taking a seat. They sat perfectly upright.

"Greetings Administrator Tyrran. We are Emissary 1..."
"...And we are Emissary 2."
"We have been given authority to speak with you and your people in behalf of Our Overlord, mighty may she be."
"And on behalf of Our Overlord, mighty may she be, we are honored to have been given passage into your country."

Both bowed their heads respectfully. Their voices were as cold as their expressions.

Of all people it could be the most unique looking people from the Janians, but, that was a gamble on a way since they were mysterious enough to not even figure out who was who. Albeit gladly the question was answered by themselves as Mr. Drago walked and presented himself. Likewise, Ma'am Artemis streched her hand for the shaking.

"The pleasure is mine Mr. Drago; Now if you could please follow us to the vehicle we will take you to the city where will be able to talk more in depth and detail any matters that shall be attended."

As she said that Ma'am Francesca led Drago to their vehicle was the last upgrade of the famous luxory electric limousines of Renault, the EZ-ULTIMO 7. The best of the best on electric limousines.

As soon as everyone was inside the vehicle begun it's journey to the Castello Aragonese of Taranto.

"I've must say Sir Drago that it was surprising, and quite odd to see your nation deciding to make contact with the external world after your last contact decades ago. If I could ask, why the sudden change??"

Upon hearing this Question Sita would have to remain silent apparently seeming to think on a proper explanation as she would fall silent she would look around the area, eventually landing her eyes upon a set of clothing from one of the building's windows around them, motioning towards it as she would turn back and speak.

Menu would pay attention to both what she gestured at and her words, nodding as he would apparently understand her job, which was fascinating from his point of view. But when he saw her apparently concerned for some reason, he moved forward, grabbed Anunsei's hand and approached Sita to gently rub her back with his free paw as he smiled.

"That's an amazing job. Back in Kemet we consider keeping track of the culture's evolution a form of intelligence gathering. And therefore that's one of the main activities for both state and privately-owned intelligence agencies. Understanding what people believe in and live like is pretty much vital if you want to, for example, offer them something they will find pleasing. I have a much boring job at the Royal Guard."

He chuckled a bit and then looked back at Anunsei with a bright smile on his face as he waited for Sita or her to say something else.

16 months after his arrival in Africa, Admiral Nicholas oversaw the final preparations for the actual launch of the allied spacecraft, which was to take place in exactly 24 hours. There had been a few setbacks along the way, from disobedience from corporations to component failure, all of which had added to the mountain of stress already on his shoulders. On occasion this could be relieved by spending leisurely time with the Prime Candidate when she was available, but most of his life over the past 16 months had been nothing but work, with little to no contact with family or the few friends he had on the outside. Regrettably, he was not even able to attend his sister's coronation in France, which weighed quite heavily on his heart.

Despite the various setbacks and issues that arose, mostly due to the shortened timeline they were working with, it appeared that everything was in order during his checks. The anxiety of thinking about the possibility of death in the vast expanse of space had long since left him. There were several things he wanted to return to back on his home planet, so he had managed to force himself to believe he'd be coming back. When that would be, he didn't know. He couldn't actually know given how time worked in outer space relative to Aerth.

Regardless, upon completing his inspection of the commanders of the crew he'd be taking with him, he retreated to his personal quarters to prepare himself. He and everyone else from Russia who would be embarking on that mission would be required to board their assigned space craft at least twelve hours before the actual launch began, meaning he would be departing those quarters in twelve hours, possibly to never return.

With his few belongings packed, he went in search of the Prime Candidate herself to submit a final report and ask her as well for a final briefing of how the initial stages of the operation would be undertaken. It was something that they had gone over multiple times, but he liked to be thorough and wanted to make sure nothing had changed even in the short amount of time between then and the last time they spoke of it. Everything down to the millilitre of water assigned to each member of the crew had to be perfect. Any changes to those details could be catastrophic if they weren't accounted for, hence his insistence on constant briefings.

Hello there!

I'm not really new, but haven't been on nationstates since before the UOJ dissolved. What changed?

Well the UOJ dissolved due to loyalty issues, corruption issues, as well as certain people's inability to accept a defeat in an RP. As a result, those who were corrupt and those who couldn't accept defeat made their own region without telling anyone else in the UOJ beforehand. Those of us who were left came here. It's more complicated than that, but that's basically it.

That day the base would be mostly empty as many of the previous members working on various activities were now in mission ready stance. The commanding officers of every unit and task were the only ones remaining to carry out the final stages of preparation as final checks for the cargo and crew were underway. The Overlordian Units had already begun to board the fleet ships. Dozens of shuttles carrying supplies and personnel traveled from the facility to space every hour. It was a long process but was well on time.

The Prime Candidate sat in her Command chair before the Commanders of every ship of the fleet and the overall fleet Commanders. With the arrival of Nicholas the final meeting of the joint Commanders before the mission launch began. The Prime Candidate made sure to go over several of the more important details, only mentioning supplies and equipment after she had confirmation that the proper measurements for each category had been met.

IN particular though she went over one final time the plan once the fleets arrived. This part had been gone over several times, but given that it was so critical she deemed it necessary one final time.

"Once you have exited the Jump it is likely the fleet will be scattered. By our estimation the field of the jump area covers a diameter of 7 lightyears. The targeted system you are to arrive in contains two star systems and an estimated 17 planets. While unlikely it is possible your craft will exit jump within a gravity well...or worse near or within a celestial object. Your Pilots must be at the ready for emergency evasive maneuvers immediately. Once each of your vessels has arrived and is in a secure position each ship is to broadcast on the secure network to locate all member ships of the fleet. Your vessels are then to make a necessary amount of micro jumps not exceeding one light year in distance until you arrive at the rendezvous point. It is critical you do not use your ZPM to jump more then one light year at a time. And remember you have limited supplies of ZPM cores, so only jump when absolutely necessary. Jumps take up a significant amount of power."

Before the Prime Candidate was a Star Chart, plotted from several unmanned probes having been launched into the target system. She however moved the chart away to address the fleet commanders in a more personal tone.

"It is an inevitable fact that not all of you will arrive in the system intact. Jumping this distance without a gate carries significant risk as all of you know. Even if you survive the jump once you arrive you will be in constant danger. Once each of your vessels arrives at the rendezvous point you will need to tally up the losses. While you do this deploy your scouting probes into the systems nearby. They will be your eyes and ears out there, their data will be critical to your survival."

She pulled the star chart back up again, displaying a planet.

"This planet is the rendezvous point. Codename Gate House. It is located within the habitable zone of the system, however as far as we can tell it supports no life. We also detected no hostile signatures in the system nearby, indicating this may be a safe place to begin construction of the Jump Gate on your side. However you are not to begin construction until you have conducted a system wide survey to confirm our findings. If you find that the system is compromised you are to regroup at the beta or charlie sites. It may be necessary for you to locate a planet with the necessary requirements on your own however if these sites are compromised. Once you begin construction of the Gate there is no going back, and you must protect it with your lives."

She continued after that going over several other details of the plans, including protocol for encounters with life forms in the galaxy. Any life form was to be treated as friendly until proven hostile, as the fleet could not afford to start an accidental war with any populated system. The Gate site was also to be secret from any ally formed in that galaxy, unless it was deemed necessary for security reasons to provide the information to them.

The meeting would carry on for several more hours before she dismissed the Commanders, ordering them off to their positions for final preparations. Though she gestured for Nicholas to stay so she may have a final word with him.

"Are the Russian forces ready for the mission Admiral?"

Outpost Titan, Saturn Belt

The launch of the Jump Gate Mission was well known in the Overlordian Space Fleet. Entire divisions of resources had been mobilized from all across the solar system to bring the mission to fruition. Rare metals from moons and asteroids put to good use building the fleet ships and systems to be dispatched into the far reaches of a galaxy far from our own. The mission was indeed considered the most critical of all Overlordian missions currently active in space, though only part of the mission would take place in those far desolate reaches.

The Titan Outpost on the moon of Saturn was equally busy in preparation for Launch day. The Orbital fleet guarding the Event Horizon and the breach into our Galaxy were positioned at the ready, as they would be for the entire duration of the mission. A precaution as that was the only known point of entry from the hostile galaxy into our own.

Furthermore Titan had been used as a tactical testing ground for The Overlordian atmospheric combat suits, now in use across the Overlordian Marine divisions in service aboard the vessels making the voyage. Tactics and tricks had been tested on the surface of Titan in order to better prepare the men for the journey, and many of the marines had done a tour of service on the Moon. And still the outpost was abuzz with fresh troops only beginning their training. The men that would one day reinforce their brothers and sisters in a far away Galaxy.

With the launch of the mission so close however a majority of the outpost and fleet were at a high state of military alert. The breach had recently activated again, with a small device having arrived from the far flung galaxy. It had been vaporized virtually instantly by the protective energy grid compounding the area. The fear was that it was merely a scout or something far worse. At this time however the breach was quiet, and all eyes watched the historic launch and prepared to take action to protect the fate of humanity.

Martian Surface-Sector 6

Much like their brothers far away on the Moon of Titan the Overlordian military officials on Mars made preparations for a full deployment. The past several years they had been extremely busy securing the territory claimed by The Overlord on Mars. Only recently had they completed the defensive walls similar to the main country back on Aerth, and had begun establishing the underground territory as they had on Aerth. Due to the priority shift from Mars to the mission the year prior funding had been lowered for these projects, but they had made significant progress nonetheless.

Mars served now as an outer layer of protection for Aerth. Much like the moon and other man made satellites had performed this task so now it fell to Mars. If an invasion were to occur Mars would be hit well before Aerth would be attacked, and thus the orbital weapons systems and multiple defensive fleets were now positioned in manners to give them any edge they could.

Colonization efforts thus had also expanded to provide a safety in case either human controlled planet were to be destroyed or wiped out. Bunkers far under the Martian surface housed millions of Overlordians ready to start new lives on the former red planet. All willing to serve the greater cause that was humanity's survival. Though it was not lost on the protective fleet that if Aerth was attacked they would be instantly recalled, forced to abandon the still fledgling colony to save the home world.

Both Phobos and Deimos outposts also stood on high alert. All eyes of the Overlordian Dominion across the Solar system now watched the mission launch keenly, waiting to see what was to happen...

Nicholas remained more or less silent as he was briefed on the situation regarding the system they were going to. It was mostly stuff he was already aware of, but it didn't hurt to have his memory refreshed in case he managed to forget something. Of course, being reminded that not everyone was going to make it still depressed him, but he had grown used to that feeling over the past 16 months. The best he could do was simply to complete the mission to honor those who would inevitably lose their lives.

Information about the location and properties of the star system had also been sent back to Moscow to be studied, so the only positive about the entire situation was that they at least would have a fairly good idea about what they could expect if they were at all to make it to their final destination. Of course, there was the unknown as to what exactly the planet they would be rendezvousing at would be like on the surface, but that was by far the least of his worries.

The idea of treating an unknown foreign entity as friendly instead of hostile also rather went against the training he had had in the military, but he did understand the logic behind it. Even if his own race was now capable of travel to another star system, it was far too unreliable and dangerous. They already had one hostile entity to deal with so it was probably best not to create any other issues.

He also was aware that their weapons systems, while advanced compared to everything else humans had developed up to that point, could prove inconsequential to whatever enemy they could face out there. Until he had a good understanding of who they were dealing with, he had no plans to engage in a conflict. That said, he also wasn't fond of being particularly friendly with any extraterrestrial beings as well. His preferred option was complete neutrality, but with the possibility of receiving any help in a short span of time from his home planet, chances were cordial relations would be the best option if possible.

It was that sort of thing he thought about for the several hours that the meeting went on. When it was over, he was going to leave along with the rest of the commanders, but stopped when he noticed her gesture, so instead remained seated. He thought of the organization of the Russian forces he would be commanding carefully when she asked about their preparedness. As far as he could tell, everything was ready. Morale among his forces was even quite high despite the uncertainty of the mission they'd be going on.

"They are prepared, yes. We will have a final broadcast from the Empress before launch. It seems that knowledge has kept their morale quite high. Regardless, I have no doubt everyone is ready. All ships have been inspected hundreds of times already and there are no reported issues. I assume your forces are prepared as well?"

With the meeting over all the Prime Candidate wished to discuss was a few final things with Nicholas. Given this was the last time she was likely to see him before his departure she felt that it was more then necessary of a discussion to have.

"Good, we need both our people to keep that high morale if we are to have any chance of success. We've already begun boarding our vessels. A shuttle is being prepared as we speak to take yourself and the other officers to orbit where you can board your respective vessels. Then all you have to do is fly your vessels to the gate and do the final system checks. A simple process before the difficulties arise..."

Though they had been over it several times before she went over it again, almost like she was reassuring herself as well.

"Have you selected your away team yet? Since you are the highest ranking Russian officer here at times you may need to go to the surface of planets. Your team will be very important to your survival. Of course you can pick your own people, but we do hope list gave you a few more options. You can pick any 3-7 for the team after all."

Nicholas was a little curious as to why she had him stay considering they had just gone over literally everything, but anything to stall his departure was greatly appreciated, so he went along with it quite happily.

"Understood. I will make sure to contact you once we arrive at the gate. I'll also contact the Russian high command and alert them of our departure. Once we leave...hopefully we're able to make it back in a reasonable amount of time. If at all..."

The negative emotions and anxiety he had repressed for the last 16 months was starting to seep through as much as he tried to remain strong. Still, the confidence that others had in him helped to ward off any second and third guesses about what he was doing. At least for the time being.

"I would prefer to choose the team after meeting them personally and getting to know them for at least a few hours. More importantly, my primary goal is to make it to our final destination alive. Once I do that, and I take a tally of who could and could not make it, then I will be able to decide who and who not to choose. After all, it would be a shame if I were to choose now only to find out that they all passed away. I assume life on this planet will continue as it normally would had this mission not been created, yes?"
