Here is the question of the day!

How do you think your future self will remember your current self?

For me, my future self would probably look at my past self and think: "This version of me will always be remembered as the one who broke the cycle."

Raw snax wrote:Wow, that's a great question and a really uplifting answer.

For me, it depends on how far in the future you're talking about. If I look back a couple years or even a few months back I tend to cringe a bit as all my failings/regrets/missed opportunities are still relatively fresh in my head, whereas if I think back to when I was just a kid it's mostly fond nostalgia. I suppose I'd look back upon my 2020 self in the future as being a bit too self-indulgent and lazy, but well, this too shall pass.

I think to be fair that all of our 2020 selves will be viewed as rather cringe. Where all we did was loaf around all day binge-watching Tiger King, (actually I haven't but many people did so just using it as an example lol) Oh and rolled our eyes at the lamest presidential election ever where one senile man and one infantile man duked it out. xD

Good attitude you have tho <3

Mothers almost always will love their kids. I was one heck of a bratty teenager but she still put up with me. Gaslit me a couple of times, but I've found myself on the verge of doing that too on very rare occasion back in the day and so I don't resent her for it. I'm sure your mom will love you still too.

Yes, a very apt answer. Sometimes I wonder how we all have so far. I'm lucky I'm happy just dinkin' around on the computer and letting the creativity flow.

As my morality evolves, I look back think how could I have ever not seen it earlier and judge my actions. I mean even now I know areas where I haven't caught up with my own personal beliefs and struggle to do so.

I really feel that tbh. I have to really check myself when I seem to be straying from my own beliefs I'm cultivating. It's not easy to adopt certain morals, but it is worth it. Thing is, ethics is a really sticky business and it's frustrating at times.

I'm not sure if I want to be in a home at all tbh, lol. I just want to die peacefully in my apartment. I hear you on the memory issues tho, I have those even now and I'm only at the midway point of my life I feel.

Sancta romana ecclesia wrote:Well there are two options, either I will think "Wow, I haven't changed at all since those times" or I will look back at my current self with "These kid had some issues, but thankfully the worst ones are now sorted".

It's interesting how everything looks in the retrospect. For example when I was around 10, I was a real habitual liar. I'm glad this didn't stick with me (although if it did, I wouldn't admit to it now, would I?). I've used to be a lot more shy, a lot less confident, and I could be really cringy at times (especially at 15-ish mark). I honestly tend to overlook the positive changes I underwent, so I should appreciate them a bit more. I wish to change more stuff and grow as a person. But I don't know if I'll be successful at it, so that's why I answered like this.

That was an interesting question.

Adulting really changes you. Once you really start off your career and such, and you live on your own it really tests you. In all matters of the word. I think you'll be successful, you have a good faith to rely on when things get rough too. :)

We all wish to change tbh...it's hard. But when you can it's so rewarding. <3

Takura wrote:hmm. probably with pride, i'm in the process of becoming a better person >.< and just y'know, growing up. so a combination of pride for accomplishing that (assuming i do) and nostalgia, and also cringe cause i'm sure i'm doing things that i will think are silly.

I do have mixed feelings myself about my growth. I am impressed too with how far I've come and then I remember what a sad sack I was and how cringey and well...unappealing I was. I was a manipulative person for a part of my young adulthood--though I did not realize it until years later. u.u

I think you're doing really well, Taki. Just so ya know. :)

I think I would think of myself in a similar light. Not quite in a cyclical context, but the version of me who broke free from who I used to be and started a journey to a new self. Young but learning.

Hello~ Decided it was time to pay this place a proper visit outside of my ambassadorship.

Feel free to call me Mars or Sho (Sho would probably be less confusing since I think there’s a Mars here already). For the majority of you I haven’t met yet, I spend most of my NS time in Thalassia, all that good jazz. Pleasure to be here~

I start to think taxation rises are inevitable in this game. My taxes rose after I literally refused to add more taxes.

Oh thanks for introducing counsel for me. Although I am not really depressed tbh, just stongly melancholic at times

Good day, Karma. Here's the question of the day for you!

What's the one food you could never bring yourself to eat?

Just about any bean other than green beans. Pinto, black, kidney, lima, butter, baked, refried... Yuck, yuck yuck!!!
(it's a texture thing... I hate peas too)

My brother! Lima beans and black-eyed peas are the WORST!
Snow peas are OK, but pea soup is just ghastly. That fact kinda calls the texture thing into question.
