I always vote against
To: Untergeneral Johann Jaspers, Ambassador of the Imperium of Leonism
From: Mary Rose, Undersecretary for Lazarene Affairs
My Dear Johann:
I have forewarded your request up the chain of command. The Foreign Minister approves, the Defense Minister is on board, the Prime Minister agrees, and the manufacturer is ecstatic. I am, of course, no expert on such matters, but from what I've been told (and overheard), if your government decides to purchase a large number of Vipers, a licence will be granted, as the Thunderchild Aircraft Company is essentially maxed out as far as production capacity goes. Otherwise, the initial batch of aircraft can be made available immediately.
On a more more personal note, please advise Jani that DCI (Directorate of Central Intelligence) agents will be practicing their information gathering skills on her. Anyone she doesn't know (and even one person she does know) could be a DCI agent. I know from experience how hard it is for most people to keep secrets, so please remind her to keep confidential information confidential.
And that she should be more respectful of her mother. ;)
p.s. A few of us Foreign Ministry types are meeting for dinner Sunday night, to talk about Schedule and other such matters. Would you care to join us?
The union jack is solely a combination of England's red cross on white background and Scotland's white saltire on blue background to represent the personal union of the two kingdoms. Ireland and Wales are not actually intended to be represented on it.
I see. I know (from playing Empire: Total War actually) that an earlier version of the flag did not have red stripes inside in the diagonal white stripes taken from the Scottish flag, so I always assumed that those particular red stripes somehow represented Wales and/or Ireland...
Edit: I mean this one:
Your Imaginary Friend and Hycronesia
This is the beginning of my modern-day LazMAP nation. It's not actually the very beginning. I need to write that.
Sirakles Tylosis and his wife Yvonia Tylosis stood by the large window that overlooked the Telumasian Gardens. It had been a beautiful day in Mzeusia, and Sirakles was glad that he had got to enjoy some of it with his family in the gardens. His young daughter was already asleep a few rooms away and he looked at his wife as the sun drew ever nearer to the horizon.
Yvonia turned to him. "Is everything okay?"
"Yes." he replied. "I just thinking back on the day. It was nice to go out there with the two of you."
Yvonia smiled and drew away from the glass. "You should sleep. I'm sure you have lots to do tomorrow."
Tylosis sighed, a few troubling thoughts coming to mind. "I probably should. Let me just check up on Lysina."
"Just don't wake her up okay." Yvonia said as he stepped away from the window.
Sirakles nodded, opened the door to the room, stepped out into the carpeted hallway, and made his way into his daughter's room.
She was sleeping in her cot, and was turned away from the door. The Mzeusian Telumas stood in the doorway for a moment, just watching the rise and fall of Lysina's chest. The toys she had been playing with were still out. A group of dolls sat around a campfire clasping mugs. One of them had pitched forward into the toy fire, and another was standing in front of a large black bear. A few feet away were a collection of drawing that Lysina had done. Three stick figures held hands. One of them had a crown and Sirakles smiled as he remembered Lysina telling him that that one was him. Behind the stick figures were scribbled crayon trees meant to represent the garden that they had walked in.
Sirakles looked back at Lysina. She was still sleeping, and not wishing to disturb her, he made his way out, making sure to softly close the door behind him.
A few clarifications on the GA Proposal currently at vote:
This is completely false. Clause 2a was added to avoid contradiction with GA#29 "Patients Rights Act". Morover, the clause mentions that the guardian or parent must be legally able to consent on behalf of the child, something nations can use to ban sterilisation of children. I would also refer to GA#222 "Prevention of Child Abuse", which does not allow parents to forcefully sterilise their children with malicious intent as it would cause severe harm to the child.
I intentionally did not specify what counts as reasonable to avoid a situation whereas "one-size-fits-none". Its up to nations to decide how they should punish people who carry out forced sterilisation, furthermore, in order to be in compliance with GA#2, a nation must interpret resolutions in good faith; therefore, fining offenders $1 for example, would certainly be done in bad faith and is unreasonable.
Clause 4 is an urge clause, meaning its up to nations to decide wether to follow it or not, it is also up to nations to decide how they want to help victims of forced sterilisation. I don't understand how you could get a larger and more comprehensive bill on this without contradicting PRA (GA#29).
It has included St. Patrick's saltire since 1801, following the union of Great Britain and Ireland. Though St. Patrick's saltire has never been officially adopted by any part of Ireland (political reasons), it is intended to represent them.
Wales was conquered by the English piecemeal and eventually totally in the centuries following the battle of Hastings. As such, it never got the benefit of being included in the flag after the pleasantries of any acts of union.

I am reloading a classic Russian gangster film for people who missed the first showing. I remembered we used to watch movies together. Any of you want to watch?
Ooh that sounds cool! When are you doing it?
Yeah... I feel like it's a really strong topic for a resolution to be on, just imperfect implementation. x)
Lol, Bigtopia looks disconcertingly like what Imaginary is in my mind! =P
