The thing is that as a city-state, it’s very hard for me to join alliances! I also have too many economic agreements with a diverse set of countries in the region so that if i join an alliance, I will inevitably make others mad lol

Plus, I am so far away from Europe that even if I joined the CC or an alliance with S&M, I wouldn’t be helpful to either of you 😂

The only potential conflict that wouldn’t be a complete logistical nightmare would be with Hondura because we are very close to each other. But we are allies!

As the car pulls up to the checkpoint a soldier questions the driver about why he is approaching the closed border checkpoint. Before the driver can answer another soldier approaches the car with his gun drawn. "Citizen Eleanora has escaped and is probably on her way here right now, everyone get out of the car right now!" Soon the driver and Eleanora are lined up against the wall and a soldier looks her over. "You look awfully familiar." Eleanora tries to say something but she is hushed by the soldier who pulls out a photo. "Good morning Princess, I thought that was you, get on your knees traitor!" He kicks Eleanora's bad leg and she lets out a scream before falling to her knees. The soldier lifts up Eleanora's face and wipes away her tears. "You are a traitor and a coward against the republic. You will be delivered to the Chamber of Deputies where they will determine your fate." A few moments later the driver pushes one of the soldiers and sprints to the border, the other soldier raises his rifle but is ordered not to shoot in that direction. The Eastern States guards escort the driver to safety but they are helpless to do anything as Eleanora is teased and taunted in front of the checkpoint. The soldiers make fun of her short haircut and the men's clothing that she is wearing, this goes on for 15 minutes until an officer arrives. As he looks her over he laughs and shakes his head, crouching down to her level. "Look at you Citizen Eleanora, or should I say Traitor Eleanora? You have been a naughty little s*** haven't you, I mean fleeing the country for a monarchy, how stupid!" There is some quiet whispering behind her and she can hear the opening of handcuffs and someone yelling. "Understood Major, long live the republic!" Eleanora starts to panic. "Please stop, are the handcuffs necessary?" She is promptly smacked and told to shut up as the cuffs are put on. "Please stop!" she replies. Suddenly she is struck in the head with the but of a rifle and falls to the ground, knocked out. The Eastern States guards are likely shocked by this as Eleanora is carried off and thrown in the back of a vehicle.

August 13th, 2019, 5 PM

When Eleanora wakes up she is in a room inside the National Assembly surrounded by armed guards. "Hey look, the traitor is awake!" Someone shouts. "Please, I need some water." Eleanora asks. Soon someone approaches her with a glass of water and feeds her the drink. "Drink up Eleanora, it could well be your last!" A few seconds later Anzio Costa enters the room. "We are ready, bring Eleanora in." She is escorted to the floor of the Capital building where Rosa is sitting with tears in her face. Eleanora is led to the floor in front of Anzio Costa's podium. He hushes the room and gets out a sheet of paper, looking it over. "Eleanora Cossette, you stand accused of being a traitor and attempting to escape justice, how do you respond to these charges?" Eleanora looks at him and responds. "Yes, I tried to flee but not to escape justice. It was a massacre and the mob was violent, I feared for my safety and I needed to get out. Anzio Costa glares at her before responding. "Do you renounce your title as Princess and do you renounce monarchism? I will remind you that if you refuse we can have you executed!" Rosa can't stand it anymore and stands up, rushing the stage and falling to her knees crying. "Please don't kill her, I promise that I will do whatever you ask, please!" Anzio Costa is so moved by Rosa's request that he accepts, fearing the the crowd may turn against him. "You will do anything?" he asks with a grin. "Renounce monarchism and remove Eleanora's title and we'll put her under house arrest instead of killing her or putting her in jail!" Rosa slowly gets up and thanks Anzio Costa and says sorry to Eleanora. "I renounce monarchism of any kind and I hereby strip the title of Princess from Eleanora Cossette's name." Anzio Costa looks over at Eleanora pointing to Rosa. "I too renounce monarchism of any kind and I renounce my title of Princess." With this Rosa and Eleanora are escorted out and Eleanora is returned to the palace.

Nakata Kenkichi, 1st Secretary of the Pyongyang city committee, lay in bed, the fan on the side table was on. The sound of cars could be heard outside as the busy streets of Pyongyang were still going. His phone rang, he slowly woke up and picked it up, answering it.
“Eh...hello?”
“Nakata? Damn please tell me that this is you.”

The guard looks nervous.

So S&M is communist again (yay) and he immediately went to war with Eastern States and he threatened me with "severe concequences" if I do anything against him.

Meanwhile in Joshuastania President Rosa attempted to pass a bill to grant Princess Cossette her ceremonial duties and command of the military again but it backfired, all 630 deputies voted against it and warned Rosa to: "Not pull another stunt like this or we'll strip you of your position." In response the entire chamber of deputies passed a bill which strips the title of Princess from Eleanora's name and she must renounce monarchism. Rosa is then promptly escorted out and thrown out the door and locked out. Later that night 12,000 protesters and national guard storm the palace to find Eleanora. It is a blood bath where over 3,000 protestors, 700 royal guard, 500 national guard, 250 police and almost the entire palace staff are killed. Eleanora escapes the palace and attempts to flee to Eastern-States but is captured before she can get out. Next she is taken to the chamber of deputies where threatened with execution she renounces monarchism and her title. She has been placed on house arrest and will need a way out.
