under the reign of aurelian the Roman empire was revived, its legions now hold the banner of the eagle as far west to te great jungles of the amazon, as far south get lakes Congo, to the frozen lands of the arctic circle, and to the mountains of the Urals. Yet he wanted his Rome to be even greater, to break all the achievements of the great men of the past. To go further east than Alexander, to expand Rome further than Trajan, make his armies be feared and respected like the Spartans of old. Yet his ambitions were nearly brought to heel when men of the legions tried to kill him. the ting leaders were executed and the legions that were under their command were spared, Aurelian now stands before the rebel legions with a message to his empire and to his legions.
Aurelian: what i'm about to say isn't meant to stop you from hating my leadership or leaving the legions for what you believe are better lands. As far as i care you may leave your roman hearts here and leave. But i want you to know how you've behaved towards me, and how i have treated you. I'll begin as in right with my father, Julius. We he found you, you were mere privates fighting your brothers and sisters across hispiana, Under his reign you began to go up in ranks and unite Hispiania under his banner. You fought the afkira's in the south bringing our banner to them to live under. Under his reign you felt united under a single cause.
This is what my father did for you great on its own, but small compared to what you've gained from me. Under my reign we brought all of northern africa under our banner, bringing the untapped resources of the great continent to our homes. Ivory furnishes you homes, the great factories that i ordered built fill you homes with products made by roman hands, and the the hands of some filthy traitors. I brought our homeland of Italy back under our banner made Roma the greatest city this world has ever seen, rebuilt the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, built a road so men and women of the legion could walk on as the horns of triumph sounded for the victory you brought for Roma. We took Gaul back under our wing where your children go to to bask in the memories of men like Julius Caesar the first, and Germicus. We brought the Region of Germanian into our empire, a region our ancestors could never bring to heel and now look towards each other. See the faces of what once were our enemies so long ago fill our ranks with loyal men and women fighting for our legions.
We crushed the bastard sons and daughters of the Visigoths in Yugoslavia, and Greece. We raised the true banner of Roma over Constantinople, we conquered the Assyrians, the Sassaniands, and the Egyptians. We pushed into the Caucasus and the black sea making Mare Nostrum stretch from the Mediterranean to it. our legions went further than ever before into the lands of the Rus stopping only at the mountains for we grew tired. OUR banner is on lands our ancestors never knew of in the far west. past a sea that no Roman was ever brazen enough to cross.
Look at you, you are all now greater than our ancestors ever were. You wear medals that show the blood you have spilled for Roma, many of you have gone years without paying taxes due to your services in the legion. No man nor woman can point to me and say i've held back my riches. For i have given it to the legions and to the people. Many times i have visited the front, nearly killed by assassins, or bogged down in the trenches alongside many of you. Yet even if i had these riches what would i do with them, i eat what you eat, sleep how you sleep. You are all now kings of villas, and queens of large swathes of land. Many times i have spent the night awaken making sure your lives were never sent to move the empire only one inch forward. The lives of those who were lost in our wars always brought miles of land under our banner. Who here believes that i have spent my time in my villa or in my office sleeping all day or eating feasts only for myself. If you think i hold no scars of the times I've fought or bleed for you come forward and strip and i'll show you mine.
All of this has been for your glory, your conquests, your wealth and here i still am leading you. Conquer of land, sea, air, rivers, mountains, and plains. We've celebrated our triumphs together, I've bowed to your greatness your glory many times. For you and many others that make this Empire great are the backbone of the empire. Where would we be if we didn't have the workers. Our guns would be empty and we would have been overrun by the sons of the visogoths. Where would we have been without the civilians that make up our nation, making sure everything runs while we fight across the globe, and where would we be without the legions. We would be nothing without them. Hispianna would be a broken nation festering with the illness of communism and fascism. Many of those who fought for the legion now stand watch over our cities as statues or buried under our feet to rise again if we are ever attacked.
And now i stand before you asking you to keep fighting, not for my gains, but for the empire. For your glory, your conquest. And if you still wish to leave then go home and tell your families that your emperor Aurelian, Restitutor Orbis, Germanicus, conquer of the Visigoths, slayer of the eastern eagle, unifier of Europa. Who now rules over the gauls, the Germans, the Britians, the Turks, the Assyians, the Sassiands, and the Rus who rules half the world the first man to unite all of Europe under one banner. And when you get home you tell them you abandoned him and went home leaving the legions and the empire weaker than ever before and breaking a promise you swore to protect till your last breathe. Perhaps your accomplishments now will be seen as worthy in the eyes of men and to the gods. If you wish to still leave then all i have to say is. BEGONE!
