What made-up word would you incorporate into the English language if you could?

Supercalifragalisticexplialidocious because why the hell not.

Do you work better under pressure?

I decided I was going to interpret the question as referring to the existing formal economy and then I got caught up thinking. I'm no longer among those defined as employed in any capacity within the formal economy. Maybe that's why I had the time to think about it. Otherwise it depended on the job. As a social worker, no. Gummint program benefits eligibility determiner? No. Ground crew for crop-duster operation: way no. Off-shore oil rig hydroblast technician, Yes. Hot tar roofer, yes. Airplane washer? No. One year I even had a job cleaning some old US air force cargo planes that the US Dept of Agriculture sent up all along the border with Mexico with guys tossing pallets of neutered fruit flies out for an eradication project in the Rio Grande Valley. Pipeyard x-ray inspection crew? No. Industrial painter in oil refineries? Yes. But most of those were decades ago.

OSIRIAN FRIENDS OF THE EAST PACIFIC!

While the last poll was a smashing success, with 414 votes cast to decide the official religion of TEP, we are still in need of your assistance. After Lerasi copied and pasted parts of the original National Faith issue into the poll, the creator of Violetism has sued The East Pacific for theft of intellectual property! Once more, Delegate Libertanny hosts a public forum to decide the best course of action, found here:

page=poll/p=161276

Vote now to set TEP on the right - or wrong - path.

In Solidarity,
Lerasi Tyramin
Minister of Culture, The East Pacific

I'd say probably either salt or that like popcorn cheddar in a bottle you can find in theaters that're sold in stores too

Scorched Ice wrote:I'd say probably either salt or that like popcorn cheddar in a bottle you can find in theaters that're sold in stores too

Hot take: salt is not a spice and is barely scraping by being a seasoning

Luna State wrote:Hot take: salt is not a spice and is barely scraping by being a seasoning

Smh salt is like one of the base seasonings. It adds sm flavors to so many things. It's not my fault people like to overdo it and think it's the only thing a dish can rely on flavor for

'Godnapping', in honour of one of my old university lecturers who coined the phrase. It is used in some historical circles, but it would be nice if it were official.

PAPRIKAPAPRIKAPAPRIKAPAPRIKA. IT GOES WITH LIKE EVERYTHING IT COMES IN A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT FORMS IT ADDS COLOUR TO OTHERWISE BLAND LOOKING DISHES IT'S THE BEST
Also shoutout to onion salt (goes very well with garlic powder for a very basic seasoning, add something peppery and maybe some paprika and something citrus-y and you're getting somewhere) and a bunch of spice mixes like any number of jerk mixes, garam masala, herb mixes etc. Parsley too, it's the best most versatile herb imo

What’s your favorite spice/seasoning?

Vanilla planifolia, also known as Bourbon vanilla. I like to put 4 or 5 pods in a bottle and fill it up with vodka. Makes great vanilla for flavoring all manner of items.

Fransmany wrote:Tethys 13 what does godnapping mean?

Certain Ancient Mesopotamian cultures (particularly the Assyrians) would take the statues of the gods from the cities they attacked, and hold them for ransom. The gods themselves were believed to inhabit those statues - thus the attackers were, in effect, kidnapping the gods.

To prove humanity has not changed that much in over three thousand years, the Assyrians would often carve the equivalent of "Ashur rules" on the statues before returning them (declaring that their god, Ashur/Assur, was superior to those of the other cities).

Fransmany, God almighty, and Luna State

They've been doing that since the beginning. I botched the creation process somehow.

I know this isn't Reddit but this is as close to Beatlejuicing as it gets for me.
