Thank you very ! much I sure do miss conservative nations.

Today I will engage in some papers I have to get done for college.

I decided because Fort Sumter doesn’t fire the first shots New York Mayor Fernando Wood engages in a minor coup against federal authorities. He successfully takes over seize Fort Lafayette and Fort Schuyler, in order to enable ships to continue to enter the harbor.

And he'd have the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and presumably more ships per mile of coast line than the Confederates did.

Now he would not fight fellow northerners ,but he could use these ships as a armed escort making sure New York City and the south trade profitably possibly with a free trade agreement until the fighting begins.

When Lincoln declares martial law NYC quickly returns under federal authority probably peacefully .

The forces return under union control and some people join Lincoln’s call for troops under New York states authority.

The fact I’m even letting them succeed in a coup is already stretching it.

Very last message for the day suppose if the confederates did not attack Fort Sumter.

We will say the first blood 🩸 begins over incidents in no exact order .

1 federal soldiers out west in Confederate Arizona territory clash with csa soldiers

2 in saint Louis a Mob of sympathic Missouri’s attacks attack German union soldiers after they paroled captured session miltas

3 in Baltimore Maryland New England soldiers sent to fortify dc are attacked by a pro southern mob.

4 blood is spilled in enforcing the blockade against the confederacy

When anyone care to pick a side?

Me personally while I’ve always wanted to experience war I don’t want a civil war . So I am on the fence personally though I do have confederate leanings yes ...

I believe Trump and the senate Republicans should appoint a new justice before January.

Very interesting, that one.

New waldensia wrote:1. That certainly would have sped things up, but capturing, much less holding, DC would be difficult.
2. Absolutely
3. That would be a tremendous mistake. Richmond was fairly exposed for a national capital, DC would have been untenable for the South.
4. Likely true

I'm reading a book right now that argues that even in April of 1865, the South had a chance - however slight - of victory. If a handful of different events had occurred during the close of the Petersburg siege and the recent to Appomattox, Lee could have escaped and reunited with Joe Johnston in North Carolina. Grant's supply lines were stretched in the pursuit of Lee. With Richmond fallen, it actually would have given the Southern armies much more flexibility in the field.

Alternatively, the author argues that if Lee had chosen guerilla warfare as Grant feared (very costly and hard to combat for the occupying forces, see Afghanistan and even Vietnam), the South could have won a peace agreement similar to other insurgent-type conflicts.

Well I have my most important paper 📝 do to day .., well the south would evacuate DC once Union troops started to advance. Them using the capital builds legitimacy abroad (particularly if there are other sessionists action ,

Lincoln will be seen as a warmonger if he isn’t willing to negotiate. This builds the peace movement and Abe doesn’t have much support because minus Yankeedom consisted of New England, Upper midd west , much of upstate New York.

The rest Of America were willing to let the Deep South go

Lincoln would probably end up actually vetoing peace proposals, but the longer the armistice the higher chances for Union recognition
.

is destroying the capital buildings even necessary to get Britain or France to enter the war? as they see the union government has collapsed already , but with dc buildings being destroyed that gives them that picture completely the north has collapsed

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

Today is the International Day of Peace. Let us come together in reflection, hope and prayer for a world with less violence, conflict and injustice and one where peace, justice and kindness rule.

For those of you who are Christians, I exhort you you this:

Jesus said, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God’ - Matthew 5:9.

Dear God,
In a world so full of conflict and division and in a world where hope can often feel distant, we come together, as members of the body of Christ to pray for those that find themselves in situations of violence, conflict and injustice, they they may find peace and rest in you. We pray for the rulers of the world, that they may work to end war and conflict and work for the good of all. We pray that the church may be a beacon of hope, light and justice for all the world. We pray for the protection and safety of those who work for peace and the elimination of violence often placing their own lives at risk to save those of others. We pray that you can give us the wisdom, strength and guidance to follow Jesus’ words and actions to be peacemakers in the world. We pray that as a region we can be an example of this teaching through creating peace within our region, serving as an example to others and furthering the cause of peace in NationStates. God we pray that your will for peace may be done on earth as it is in heaven and for the soon return of your son, Jesus Christ, where we will see an end to suffering and the flourishing peace. We say this prayer in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

And for all of us, Christian and non-Christian alike.

I would also like to share an incredible campaigner for peace and justice. Eleanor Roosevelt was the First Lady of the United States from 1933-1946, served as the US Representative to the United Nations, oversaw the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and was a prominent campaigner for youth, women and racial minorities in the United States. She was a woman far ahead of her time whose resolve and influence has fundamentally changed the world for the better.

This quote by Eleanor Roosevelt has been a favourite of mine for many years. I hope it inspires you, as it does me, on this important day.

‘It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.’

Blessings to you all on this important day.

The 2020 election is shaping up to be quite the crap-show. In Pennsylvania between the courts and election officials, officials are not allowed to reject mailed in ballots over signature problems[1] and judges are required to accept and count ballots through the Friday after election, regardless of the postmark.[2] Also in Pennsylvania, the court kicked the Green Party off the ballot on a technical foul, refusing the party an opportunity to correct the error.[3] For the record the Green Party cost Al Gore Florida and the Presidency in 2000.

In Michigan, ballots postmarked the day before the election must be counted for the next two weeks after the election which really complicates certifying the results.[4]

Democrats have been publicly and loudly vowing their intentions to thoroughly litigate the results of the 2020 election if it goes against them. These are just the opening shots. Lawgivers in other blue states are making noises about further shenanigans and movement of the election goal posts.

The 2020 election stands to make the 2000 election look like a cake walk.

With all that in mind, there is a better than even chance, at least some part of this election will end up in with the Supreme Court. Probably on an emergency hearing basis.

I don't think there is any way we should go into election day one justice light on the high court. What do you think?

It is unreasonable that New York City should fight against the north during the rebellion civil war. NYC would quickly reenter the union with full state pardons to any crimes during Lincoln’s would be proclamation of rebellion.

  1. Join the LinkAOF Discord for N-Day⁵ orders and communication.
This is how all orders will be disseminated. Utilizing the Discord will enable you to more fully enjoy and deploy during N-Day. The AOF Discord is always a fun place to be; the hectic and frantic nature of nuclear warfare has led to memorable moments for our members.

  2. Do not attack unless ordered, and only attack when and where ordered.
Rogue nations can destroy a faction by attacking against or in contradiction to orders, drawing us into battle on undesired fronts. Don't be that guy. Strict adherance to orders is crucial to ensure a successful N-Day for the Army of Freedom.

  3. Shield production is the priority during N-Day.
🛡️ Strategic specialists must focus on building shields exclusively.
🛡️ Economic specialists should focus on building shields -- unless specifically ordered otherwise.
☢️ Military specialists must focus on building nukes exclusively.

  4. Recruit your friends and region-mates to the Army of Freedom!
The more, the merrier! We would love to have a record amount of fighters in the AOF this year, and you can help make that a reality. In addition, we are seeking Non-Aggression Pacts with a variety of other factions, which will help to protect our flanks during N-Day; if you can assist with this as well, contact New waldensia.

It is unreasonable that New York City should fight against the north during the rebellion civil war. NYC would quickly reenter the union with full state pardons to any crimes during Lincoln’s would be proclamation of rebellion.

Most of NYC population during the civil war was in Southern Manhattan. There were just a few communities north of mid town Manhattan. The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten island were not even part of NYC. The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island joined NYC in 1898. Then there is the fact that the part of New Jersey that overlooks Manhattan has a much higher elevation which could easily have been used by Union artillery troops. They could have set all those buildings packed together ablaze. Back then most likely there were some farms in Manhattan but because of the large population more then likely they needed to import there food from other states. Food that would not enter because it would be blocked from entering NYC. The Union fleet could also blockade the port. It would go bad for NYC.

Edit - How would the French troops occupying Mexico affect your story. And what about Russian involvement. In 1863 the Russian fleet visited California and Union cities off the East. Russians were pro-Union. Read this - http://people.loyno.edu/~history/journal/1983-4/delehaye.htm
