150 miles then. I just need to check if my weapons are operative, as they act as an dissuator. Its a test.

I guess I wasn’t totally clear on that. My bad. Anything beyond 12 nautical miles off the coast is technically international waters. You can claim 200 miles for fishing and mining rights but it doesn’t make it exclusively Brazilian waters. Other vessels have a right to traverse those waters.

Im suspending the test until i find an option

Bien!
Option is no!

:D

We have this product in our labs similar to Agent Orange... Unfortunately, while it does a great job at defoliating, we still need to do major testing to see why it won't distinguish between friend or foe when it comes to side effects. There is that big patch of jungle around SE Madurin...

U wouldnt do it. u know the consequences, nothing to do with a test though it has been proven before thar some poliniseans suffered from radiation

😀 Challenge accepted!!

All joking aside, are we to accept this as canon for the region?

That Reino do Brazil is looking to perform a nuclear weapons test but has not figured out the right conditions yet?

If so, maybe you could post the official Brazilian government announcement here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453535

done

As the stand in for France... ackchually, 27 Jan 1996 was the last time. I don't know about ensuring any conditions, however.

"On 27 January 1996, the last nuclear test explosion by France was conducted at the Moruroa and Fangataufa Atoll test site in the South Pacific. The underground explosion was equivalent to 120,000 tonnes of conventional explosives, six times the force of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945."

We are now thinking of detoniting at a very high altitude, in the stratosphere

You think that's a better option than underwater detonation? :o

Reino do Brazil wrote:We are now thinking of detoniting at a very high altitude, in the stratosphere

EMP is going to take out any satellites nearby, and disrupt civilian air traffic, assuming they are warned ahead of time to divert flight paths.

We must break our silence to denounce such an action. We would consider this test to be an act of terrorism against the environment as well as tantamount to an act of war if any of our sovereign territory or seafaring vessels are impacted by the explosion. Moreover, our concerns extend to the numerous satellites utilized for telecommunications and navigational activities, and while we do not possess any of the latter satellites, we are nevertheless distressed about the possible repercussions. Such actions will not go unnoticed or unanswered by South Gragastavia and we call upon members of the international community to join us in our condemnation.

Did you actually read that article and correlate it to what you are trying to do?

It talks about the detrimental after effects of atmospheric, underwater and tests beyond the atmosphere. It's why developed 1st/2nd world nations don't do those tests anymore.

So, what souls be a safe test?

How come an act of war since there is a cientific point of view to it and my policy is alligned with the region?why would it affect your nation

South Gragastavian ships navigate the world, including to many ports in Madurin. To damage one of our ships, either through falling debris or through impairment of such vessels' electronic systems, is considered an attack on the sovereignty of our nation.

Reino do Brazil wrote:So, what souls be a safe test?

Huh? I'm going to assume you meant 'should'.

I don't think there is a safe test. All of it was done in past decades and it didn't prove much, but most of it is public record these days. You're not proving anything scientifically that hasn't already been proven, so then it is just a show of prowess to prove you have determination to use your arsenal. Any condemnation brought should not be a surprise.

There would be no consequence whatsoever

Its not a cientific discovery for sure but we are just checking the deterrent ability of the older devices

Still if there were a common policy on nuclear testing se would naturally abide by it even if it meant its ban

So we pray. If there is, however, we will not equivocate.

We wouldnt put your nation at risk
