For all you puny Americans who do not live in the Gulf Coast Region. I'm sorry for the "hot" weekend. It was 98º today with 100% humidity. And we didn't even make world news because this is norm. So if you think this is painful, just think of us.

But then again, if it snows in the winter, a State of Emergency is declared...

What do you all think about the leaking of the emails from the British Embassy, and subsequent resignation of the UK ambassador to the US?

In my view, the Ambassador did nothing wrong by doing his job. The resignation should not have occurred (as no wrong action took place), but the person who leaked the documents should be prosecuted.

I agree whoever leaked it should be prosecuted, especially given rumours that it's a ploy to get Nigel Farage appointed to the spot.

Though, Theresa is outgoing and has already suffered many humiliations, I doubt she'd mind another one lol

Gurr, Mrs May!

I think those rumours are tosh, but no one should ever try and undermine our partnership with the Americans like that - it was plain wrong.

I'm not really familiar with what happened, but I'll give it my take.
I think that the ousting was the correct course of action because Ambassadors should stay non-political. They should be a Representative of their country and not delve into the politics of their host country. Once the documents were leaked, the British didn't have a good way to save face.

Oh boy, another British politician I've heard interesting things about. It's all May, Boris, and... Corbyn?

Considering the UK is FTP, this makes me happy. Not because I like Boris or May, but because it means vote splitting for those factions. Woooo!!!

It’s still octopodes. Octopi comes from the fact that people wrongly assume that octopus is Latin (it’s Greek) and because of the way Greek works it says that it is octopodes.

How come Boris wouldn’t back the ambassador then?

I’m travelling in northern Spain and Portugal at the moment, so I’ve been able to eat a load of octopussy.

I’ve had it every day for the last three days.
