Yes. That’s next,

I deeply respect the President for the hard work he has done on behalf of our region and all of its members. I also possess deep respect for our region’s system of checks and balances and the rule of law. It is with that respect in mind that I have been horrified by the undemocratic, unjust actions taken by Xernon. Regardless of whether or not this is a partisan power grab- and I encourage you all to make that distinction for yourselves- using the office of the President in this manner sets a terrible precedent for the future of Thaecia.

The reasons given for banjection have no visible, lawful weight; sowing division, although unhelpful and detrimental, is not unlawful, and the reason is because it is based on subjectivity; anyone could argue that anyone else has been “sowing division”. Is the lesson now that a person in power making such arguments suddenly has the authority to punish behavior that they alone- not our laws, our court, or our Congress- deem distasteful? Will anyone be banjected from Thaecia for going against the government with the sole, undefined, and abstract charge that they are “sowing division”? That precedent is one that will reshape our system not alongside but around the Presidency for years to come.

Furthermore, the nations in question have not been afforded due process in any sense of the word- only a vague statement railing against their “hateful ideology”, despite not being fascist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc.

I am also shocked that the President, despite having taken an oath to our CURRENT Constitution, is citing powers that he believes he will/should be afforded under a new Constitution in the future. Our CURRENT Constitution does not allow him to wield his power in this way. Until the day that a new Constitution is passed that gives him such authority, he is overstepping his boundaries significantly.

Furthermore, as much as the Cabinet has the constitutional authority to call for a snap election, I am deeply disappointed at the reasoning given for this action: the assumption on the part of both the President and Electoral Commissioner that the RPT was not in a position to replace their MPs, despite not knowing the internal structure of the party including whether or not new leadership was available in the absence of the current leaders. The Electoral Commissioner has yet to respond to the party’s communications on this matter.

Much of this chaos could have been avoided if the President and others had just worked with other portions of the government on how to transition smoothly, rather than unilaterally deciding to take this course of action and leaving the rest our our region to pick up the mess. This is reckless, impulsive leadership, and the disrespect shown to our regional government has significantly eroded its credibility.

I implore you all to make your voices heard during this dark time in our regions history and hold this government accountable for the actions it has taken.

Dark time? The dark times are ending. This action was not taken as a political move, nor as a fear mongering tactic. No, this was an action of love. Love for our region. We cannot allow ourselves to be poisoned by arguments any longer, so I suggest that you drop this one. We need to heal, not harm. That’s what I’m running on, and that’s what needs to be done.

Due to recent events regarding the disbandment of The Reformist Party caused by the banishment of party leadership, The TPI shall be changing the date of it's weekly party polls to Sunday of every week (aka tomorrow). We are doing this in order to provide for an earlier poll following radical change to the political landscape of Thaecia.

The solution to disagreement in those arguments is not to banject the people you’re arguing with. That stands against everything our democratic system was made to enable.
And I'll reiterate that my issue with the actions taken stands whether this was a political move or not. This was poor leadership and an unwarranted, unlawful move. Period.
I'll be running for the House to maintain accountability and improve our democracy through collaboration, not brash, unethical choices.

Again, I will not participate in this needless bickering because it really is needless. I’m focused on bettering the region. What are you focused on?

The burden of protecting our Constitution when it's under attack is shared by all of us. I look forward to holding this government accountable for these actions and more and protecting the right of all people from all political backgrounds to stand up for what they believe is right.

I won't be answering your question there, but I will say that I have no interest in crafting cute one liners for likes on the RMB.

Looking forward to working with you further, Senator.

Geez man, easy on the pot shots please. While AH might be a little bit much on the whole "dark times thing", the man's intentions seem pure. I understand how you feel, but let's keep the discourse friendly.

Excuse me? Is it not your party’s rule to not engage in negative campaigning? I’m going to be honest here, I’m concerned. If this is what everyone is going to do, our region will never recover from the gaping holes left by the reformists, and improper conduct from certain members of our community. This is not a time for arguments, and frankly, I’m irritated that you’re trying to start another one. It’s time to move on.

I’m supporting an action that may not be constitutional, but it is an action that is morally correct. And now I’m done with this discussion.

I urge everyone to take a deep breath and reflect on my statement and everything that this region has witnessed over the past two months.

You're entitled to your own opinion, and I respect your point of view. However, as President and co-founder, I am entitled to protect this region at all costs. The past two months have seen this community bitterly hurt by a handful of individuals. Individuals that have done nothing since their entrance but sow division and toxicity. Their actions here in Thaecia and their past history of actions elsewhere transcends the IC context of politics, regional governance, etc.

If I may note something, leadership is about being present. It is about being bold and taking action when action must be taken. That what I did. I put Thaecia on a path that will allow it to flourish again as the open, diverse, united democratic region that it is. I urge you to re-read my statement.

Cut the sarcasm please. It's not necessary, and it'll only bait the individual you're debating with to respond with a like-wise statement.

This is a time to cool the nerves, pick up where we left off as a region, and rebuild. The faster we do that, the faster we heal as a region.

i apologize, just a little humor.
are you really ok with just going against the constitution like this though? youre a great president why would you do that?

It's not a simple as "picking where we left off". You unfairly banned and ejected members from this region, destroying an entire political party in the process. People are understandably going to be upset. Claiming that this move was to "get rid of toxic individuals" that "sowed division" you make the move seem like a power grab. Not everyone sees it that way, especially because they were denied a fair trial.
