Additionally, doing this would make the Emperor even less important, which seems off-brand for an alliance of absolute monarchs to have a weak, ceremonial Emperor.

You are right, considering our small size I now think it’s better to wait for more members and then we will think about this in the future.

One thing we used to do that I don't think we do anymore is that there were 3 "tiers" of voter. All members had 1 vote by default, but could acquire more votes by being involved in the Church (we used to have an official religion) and by being members of the WA.

So:
Default Member: 1 Vote
Bishop: 1 Additional Vote
Prince-Elector (WA Member): 1 Additional Vote

For a Maximum allowed 3 votes if one was a Bishop and a WA member. With this system, it seemed like we had more engagement. But was that engagement a result of the system or did we just have more involved people back then regardless of the system?

Hello there. Thank you for Embassies

No problem

I think we should bring this system back in the near future if it worked previously it will be a great addition

The reason it was abandoned was primarily because we moved away from having an official church (it was "Catholic" and a few protestants and atheists felt left out I guess). A big reason we abandoned the WA=more votes was because it benefited too few. If we returned to that system, the Church should have to be reinstated, because otherwise it's just WA and not-WA, which for some reason doesn't translate to more WA members.

It makes me happy to see that my old region has some activity again. I hope you all have a lovely and safe holiday season.

Talking about this made me realize. How are we going to get new members?
