Hello, I'm just confirming that this is indeed my alternate account.

Hello everyone! Has anyone figured out the logic behind the "Recent Headlines" that appear after resolving an "Issue"? To me, they often seem random, and I'm unsure about what triggers them. For instance, how should I interpret headlines like "Lightning Strikes Abandoned Cabin," "Parks Infested With Joggers, Dog-Walkers Complain," or "Luxaureans Soak Up Super Summer"? I've noticed that the same headlines recur frequently. Do these headlines have any connection to the "Recent Trends" displayed at the bottom of the resolved issue page? I haven't discerned any clear correlation. While it's not a pressing concern, I'm curious because I've been a member of this site for nearly two decades and this aspect still puzzles me.

I think it's a mix of nonsense and tenuous unintended consequences... I've often thought 'Unintended consequences' could be a tagline for NationStates (and real life politics!) lol

That is one of my favourite components of the game. I agonize over the least terrible choice and then no matter what it was the wrong one lol.

Good day Chaps and/or Chapettes! It's been a balmy -40șC here in the Canadian prairies for the past few weeks. How's the winter treating you in your sundry locales?

It's been a chilly -5c here in the UK, so positively toasty compared to Canada!

That sounds quite nice, actually. I'm a fan of -8șC. A light sweater and a hot coffee make for a cozy vibe. Our winters have been becoming quite strange, though. They used to be a semi-consistent -20șC or so. But lately, we've been alternating between a week of +8șC and then a week of -30șC to -40șC. It makes it hard to acclimatize. Must be that climate change I keep hearing about.

I, for one, can't wait for the summertime - the year-round rain makes the world sing in colour during those lovely sunny days!

Our planet is a mosaic of little paradises and little hells, often coexisting in the very same locations, viewed through the lens of personal perspective. Residing at the northern edge of the great plains, where the skies are seldom overcast and the air perpetually dry, a good rainstorm is an occasion to step outside and revel in its magnificence. That is to say, the grass is always greener, and so forth.

It's been nearly a year since the last post. How are y'all doing folks?
