I'm just going to float an idea that we should assign recruiters. Look, I like small regions but the few times I'm on NS but the conservation consists of you guys. I'm a little busy with college, so I can't help much but this region seems closed off to the world. Might I suggest a gameplay thread on the NS forums?

We're getting it going. We just have other things to attend to atm.

Or there is the chance to speak on our RMB, if you feel bored or anything. In fact, we have welcomed Clovers to speak as much as they want on the DRF RMB. If you want a new chat but donít want to leave TCC, the DRF RMB is a good place for you

Row the roses of success!

Gíday

Following our interview with the DRF Foreign Secretary, the Foreign Minister of The Wolf Clan decided to get in the act and asked for an interview as well. Being a good friend of the DRF, we spoke to Puetavisa about TWC, the trial and just NS itself! All of this interview was what was sent to me and all words are 100% authentic. Enjoy!

So, can you just start by explaining your history on NS (like what regions you were in etc)?

Well, I found out about this game by reading the books ďJennifer GovernmentĒ and ďMachine ManĒ in college. I remembered how good those books were, and through a quick Google search, I found out about NationStates!
I got a recruitment telegram from Ridgefield, and earned a government position within weeks. I tend to get bored of regions, so I moved to KAISERREICH and obtained a title within the nobility there.

Later on, I reunited with some old friends in Hegiroth, which then became The Clover Confederation. Alpha Wolf shot me a DM on Discord, asking who I was. We soon became good friends, and I took up what I thought would be a break from TCC, as I frankly found it hard to balance NS and my life, as my son was born around this time.

The rest is history. I found the balance between real life and gaming, and now hold positions in multiple regions and organizations.

And you are now Foreign Minister for The Wolf Clan. How does it feel to represent one of the most famous regions in NS?

It was very surreal at first. I never thought Iíd be as well known and prominent as I am now. I went from being a Chancellor for a region of 10 people, to being a public figure in the world of NationStates. It has been an extremely good opportunity, and Iíve helped build the region up, along with the help of the rest of The Wolf Clan officials and citizens.

You had a great first few days on the job, have your plans changed from what you thought when you were first appointed?
No, my goals were very broad. I wanted to form the monarchy, and I made my deadline of obtaining 5 states 3 months ahead of my deadline. I wanted to create a more set government, and we now have a parliament and have ratified our constitution. Who knows what the future will hold?

In July, you called for the trial of Abbots for treason, why exactly did you do this?

He allegedly led to the crumbling of TCC, which in turn, resulted in the immigration of Rughzhenhaide to The Wolf Clan. It was bumpy at first, but Iíve realized that Rugh coming to TWC has been a huge help, and the situation seems to have settled down.

On Sunday, you announced youíd dropped the charges for now, but not for good. How likely are you to bring the charges back?
Itís hard to say now. Iíve come to realize that thereís no need to press charges and publicly shame him, as he does that regardless. Why overwork when he does it naturally? I have more important things to deal with. ;)

And now onto a different subject, and Iím sure lots of people want to know this, who is the heir to Hannibal Soto?
The lore of ďHannibalĒ is something I donít even know yet. Iíve come to love this alias and character, as Iíve used it for over 5 1/2 years now. I tried assassinating Hannibal, but itís such a cool character and a very fitting name for me as well. If it ainít broke, donít fix it!

How long are you wanting to stay in TWC for? If you plan to leave in the future, do you prefer moving around a lot or staying just in one region?
I plan on staying in The Wolf Clan until Alpha Wolf and Apostate get fed up with me. Haha!

Iíve been looking for a region like this; one big enough to stand its own, but small enough to where everyone knows each other. Best choice Iíve ever made.

And finally, what are your thoughts on puppets?
There was once a time when I had about 200 puppets, and I just found it stressful and tedious to log into them everyday. Today, I maintain about 10-15. To each his own, though!
Iím not going to tell you how to play the video game; if you like having a thousand puppets, good for you!

We do a lot of small talk, and we occasionally do some government stuff. Very quiet.
In fact, we're a little more quiet than usual. We've experienced a... drop in activity, if you will.

It seems that there hasnít been a lot of news recently in the DRF, so weíve tried our best to give you some news. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy DRF Chronicle #8!

Breaking News:

1. Puetavisa ends trial

What has been the main story in the DRF for the last two months is now over... for now. On Sunday 1st September, the Foreign Secretary of the DRF, Abbots was free from the charges of treason presented to the DRF five weeks ago. Puetavisa, Archduke of The Wolf Clan, was presented with a deadline after no progress was on the trial, and announced his decision on DRF Regional Court RMB. This decision was made however, with the option of reopening the case, if Puetavisa sees fit. So to conclude what has been an eventful few weeks, Abbots, the Foreign Secretary pick for new PM Zweites Preussen, he/she is off the hook, but only for now.

2. Immigration boom in the DRF

Following the creation of recruitment nation, DRF Office of Recruitment in the last few weeks, the DRF has seen a huge rise in the number of new arrivals, taking the DRF into the top 500 of regions and making the population 29 nations as of the 4th September. Prominent arrivals include Vicuraus, Eurasia america and africa. This is the second highest the DRF has reached, and hopefully it just keeps bringing positivity to the region.

3. DRF adopts new regional message: #climatechangehappens

After the two new embassies with eco-friendly region were finalised recently, the leader of one of the new embassy regions, Paris Agreement Founder has been getting involved in the DRF RMB. One of the campaigns presented to the region by the Founder of Paris Agreement was #climatechangehappens.
This campaign has been started to raise awareness of climate change, and Abbots, who begun this eco-friendly stance, has proceeded to help the campaign. #climatechangehappens was then put in the DRF WFE to spread the word.

Interregional News:

1. New embassy for DRF

A new embassy has been added to the list for the DRF! Zentari is a medium and democratic region, a lot like the DRF. Hopefully this can lead to stronger relations between the two regions in the future.

2. The Clover Confederation threatens to leave the Wolf Kingdom

In the last two weeks, The Excalian-Wolf Clan Puppet announced on TWC RMB that the TCC would be leaving the Wolf Kingdom. The reasons given were that the TCC wants to be an independent region. Despite this, a puppet of Puet in TCC cancelled the closure and talks began between the two sides.

And so that concludes the eighth DRF Chronicle, I hoped you enjoyed it! If you have any comments, I love to hear them, so feel free to TG me!

Iíd also like to thank everyone for reading my interview with Puetavisa and for helping it take it to #7 on the dispatch list, I will definitely provide more.

Just remember: #climatechangehappens

Oh my god. The memories.
God, say what you will about the 2000s, but in my heart it was the best decade.
