OOC: How's everyone holding up?

Howard beale

I want to scream and run away to the woods to live with the coyotes, but other than that everything's peachy.

Is Covid ramping up in your area?

It's dying up here, but I have a feeling it will ramp up again soon.

New cases are becoming increasingly rural because idiots out in the country always think outbreaks are city things.

The new Xmen event is called X of swords.

Which, considering what the one last year was called, I'm assuming this one means ten of swords, as in Roman Numeral X.

Which means betrayal.

YAY!

Y'know, I was an X-Men kid. They were my thing. Nowadays, every time read an X-book, I just feel contempt for them.

You give me power, I use it.

Howard smiles

Very low.

Thank you. I've been busy with things such as, naturally, the plague. My city sent out an alert that made it sound like the apocalypse was happening because the beds are nearly full, yet they still won't restrict movement or mandate masks again. It was more begging people to stay indoors. Meanwhile, my neighborhood is partying it up.

I'm in a major city so you are unfortunately incorrect about "idiots". :-/

"I think you might have a drinking problem..."

The catgirl is rummaging through the cabinets, looking for clues. In their current room, there's a narrow door near the back. On the other side of the counter, there is another passageway that may lead to a more wide-open space.

He follows the passageway on the other side of the counter, leading to the engine room.

"I don't have a problem," says Houde before slipping on something on the floor and falling face first onto the deck. He promptly starts snoring.

Well, this is a new one for me.

Psychotic Dictatorship.

Never saw that one before. But then, I never looked.

Yeah, I've been stuck at Iron Fist Consumerists for so long, I have no idea what I did to change it.

And back to Iron Fist Consumerists. Wonderful.

Demoness, can you come to the Land of Noah board for the G13 pre-meeting?

Bowker is gone.

I'm depressed.

He's not gone. He ceased to exist.

I have amassed seven Houde cards.

I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but it feels good.

Building an all-Houde deck? That's not allowed in tournament play.

Oh God, flashbacks of Black Lotus, Dark Ritual, Plague Rat decks.....

Those people had zero originality.

Having not touched a pokemon game since Platinum, I am now playing X. There were probably more elegant ways to solve the power creep issue of the Dragon type than to create the Fairy type as a counter, but I don't want to live in a world without Sylveon in it. It's disgustingly pink and frilly and I love it.

Yeah, the Fairy Type is weird. They also have insanely high defense, very little offense. In Pokemon Sword and Shield, they have one strong attack I'm aware of, Dazzling Gleam, otherwise they are useless.

Rather than adding new types, Game Freak ought to give a long hard look at the type system and think about consolidating some of them and reevaluating vulnerabilities and resistances.

I find steel and ice completely useless myself. So many people use fire pokemon, that Steel and ice don't even matter.
