My favorite hobby is to writ

Dreamersistan wrote:And you're surprised?

Do u not know me!?

Meanie >:(

But can you actually tell me? Because sifting through the same ole wikipedia articles on Deities isn't too fun after a couple years of combing the articles for stuff for other projects that never come to fruition because I am really lazy and really bad at writing.

Be bound here, Jyrik, murderer, betrayer

Condemned by your crimes against realm and lord.

May your name and your deeds be forgotten forever

And the charm which you bear be sealed by our ward.

That's us.

Lerasi wrote:That's us.

Some weirdos are good. Some are potential serial killers and current/future shut-ins

Lerasi wrote:because I am really lazy and really bad at writing.

Maybe try writing a few words on a sheet of paper and write some thoughts. That can work in getting you interested in writing.

Lerasi wrote:That's us.

Agreed

Ew paper.

In all seriousness, I am interested in writing, but I draw blanks. Like I worldbuilding so fricken good and don't know how to apply that world into stories. I don't I just can't

Lerasi wrote:You. *pokes you with stick until you are a rabid murderer*

I don't think that was necessary.

Hmmm, maybe try to write down your thoughts and then use those thoughts as a backbone for the world.

Writing and creativity really needs one to use diff parts of their creative brainmass.. Sometimes pen and paper. When it's exhausted, computer. When that ain't working, draw. Can't get much new by drawing/sketching? Paint. Have a walk. Go travel. Talk to people.

Creativity really isn't in our control. It's the subconscious that does it, all you need to do is give it material and let it feed, then when it's done its own processing, u simply call on it with the conscious brain

Rn, I actually have so much going on, i find it really easy to come up rapidly with new ideas. Because while I'm working on non-creative stuff, the creative keeps process like a mother..

I also did a lot of pen n paper so im not feeling my notebooks, and i kinda got all i could out of sketching. so now, im feeling most creative on a typewriter

I feel creative on this, let me show you.
Music Instruments come to life, The Orchestra and Band Battle it out for the best and come together in the end for a gigantic finale that is unique and colorful. The Cello is the Friendly Big Guy that makes sure the Violins and Clarinets dont go after each other. The Violins and Clarinets ar slime Local gang members that constantly clash with each other the Bass Clarinet and Tuba are the Instruments that are like The Dog that says "This is Fine". Then finally, the hero. The Tenor Sax that is quick and witty yet pretty strong, so a "Winner"/Paragon.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

You haven't stolen this idea from a cartoon/pixar movie have you?

If not, it's pretty good and original. I can see them in my mind. It'd make a rather interesting animated cartoon a la Disney, actually. Kinda like the Orchestral version of Toy Story.

Very creative

YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD DO THIS, DANELAW!

This would be excellent as an anime story!

Actually, I think i know where u got some part of this idea from!

<gasp>

My story of the Fgench clock!

Definitely a very promising story idea, you should write this, and then, if u can, animate it. And not in that horrible way u sent me on discord, do proper animation. It might take u 2-3 years, but if u ever want to break into game design or, say, the entertainment industry, this is a very good idea.
I can imagine parts of it, it does have some elements common to other things, but there's a lot unique in it. And i can actually sense a lot of themes and motifs waiting to happen

Yeah. I will so it. And yes your correct I took inspiration off the Clock and Lamp story we made. I also took inspiration from the YouTube video "The War Orchestra" which is a Countryball animation. And note will make a animation for it. It probably will he done by January. I just need better tech to get it done.

New european union

I’m hosting a new European flag contest. I want a new flag for the NEU. And I want you to design a good flag. The only requirements are the you use Blue and Gold. You can add other colors but you have to use Blue and Gold. Telegraph me your suggestions.

I presume this is only for TEPers.

I really miss my typewriter. I'm not sure if I could ever find somebody to repair it.

I'm honored : )

Do this, danelaw, this is really a great idea. There are so many layers u can put into this.. It has that stereotypical Toy Story type cast of characters, humor, a lot of deep messages, emotional resonance.. all baked into the idea.

You can learn to fix it yourself, or if u dont mind transport costs, just post it to a repair shop. More of em exist in the East of Europe, and in Asia.

A type writer is a fun thing, isn't it? Its hard to really ever get that feel even on mechanical keyboards (Im using an MX rn and it annoys the hell out of millenials and the young crowd with its clickety clacks)

It was originally my grandpa's. He gave it to me (or rather I asked him to give it to me) when I was a fifth grader. Its brand is Olivetti.

Some string broke; now the platen isn't moving when I type. I like the clickety-clacks...and also my fingers always get numb from pressing the keys too hard when the ribbon loses its powder.

Yep. And add some tension(Violins vs Clarinets) to make a great story. The reason the animations I was making was bad because, the software I use is extremely extremely difficult to use to animate stuff longer than 2 to 10 minutes.
