She made the edits, and thought to herself, "If it won't be semi-exclusive, Evrigenis may as well purchase more now." And then she returned the paper to him.

Evrigenis sells the following to Golbad
2,500 litres of biofuel per week for the next 3 (three) years, tariff free
A license to convert excess carbon into diamonds and/or graphene, in perpetuity
The aforementioned diamonds and/or graphene

Evrigenis purchases the following from Golbad
A license to purchase ships from Golbad for the next 3 (three) years, tariff free
A license to purchase neodymium, in perpetuity
2 (two) tonnes of the highest quality neodymium

"How does this look?"

I always read the fine print.

"One more thing. I'd like to make it clear in this agreement, that for now at least - we will only be building up to frigates for you."
He needed that made clear, though the rest of it was perfectly okay for him.

I will fight to preserve the sovereignty of my closest ally. Should that mean protecting the swarm, I will protect the swarm.

You both need to either compromise or just fight it out

It’s between the Cult and the bugs. He has no say in this.

Your closest ally is a bunch of beetles? Bring it on, then.

Unfortunately I do, as you are threatening one of my closest allies, Brethren.

If Brethren gets in the way, yes. But the citizens of Brethren are not being threatened. It has nothing to do with their sovereignty.

unfortunately, the swarm currently residing in their nation is part of their nation now. You want some of those bugs, get them from TDS's land.

Last I checked, Brethren is not in Unistan.

We’ll be scouring the unclaimed desert for them. We won’t cross national borders in doing so.

good. As long as you do not attempt to cause harm towards anyone from the nation of Brethren, we will have no quarrel for now.

Major investigation of Søren von Luzon Aktio Azienda finds lack of accounting records, fraud strongly suspected

The Tasseveraministrung as well Finanzservizessupervisio, in a probe into the finances of SLAA, a large company which operates refuelling stations across Unterlaken, has found that SLAA failed to keep financial records related to the acquisition of Hydreck Benzienda, a smaller fuel company. The FSS suspect this to be a result of spoliation, in an attempt to cover up a transfer of company funds into the personal accounts of Direktürschäbender Isaac Cohn and Finanzkapo Leib Yitzchaki who are also believed to have split between themselves both a sum of one billion fränks. As it is illegal for banks in Unterlaken to disclose account information, even to the government, it will be difficult to bring the matter to court, with current primary evidence being a number of expensive artworks and sculptures being found at Cohn and Yitzchaki's properties which were not there prior to the acquisition of Hydreck Benzienda.

The Death Syndicate wrote:Alright, alright. I didn't realize that when lerasi died he had is people bloody blow up parts of the "RDSS". I suppose I will send up repair teams via MAC accelerator to get it back into good enough condition that I can get it into atmosphere and make sure it is in tip-top shape with some major overhauling.

I was being generous when I said fixing the RDSS would take a year.1,2 If you'd also like to send computers, feel free, but people are a no-go for at least another month and a half (if you sent something to help with repairs) and a few months (if you don't) just to fix life support.

1See here for the complexity of just the air system on the ISS: https://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/engineering/life_support_systems/air_and_water_systems_testing/air/index.html
2I spent a while trying to calculate that timeframe, and a few considerations included the advancement in actual life-system-support technology (and therefore complexity to repair), advancements in robotic repair technology, and time to fix mistakes made during the fixes. New tech for the first part would likely supersede the second part, especially since space stations are intended to be crewed (and repaired by skilled humans in real time). If this were real, I'd project about three years of robot-only repair to fix an internally bombed ISS... But it's not and a year is much more fun.

In the meantime,

A pair of Evrigenese citizens are outside of a postal office. They speak quietly as they leave together into the night.

Light asks Argus, "Do you know why we were selected?"
Argus replies grimly, "No. But we must."
Light tries to lighten up Argus' mood, "It would be a change of pace..."
Argus stifles a laugh, "So like you Light. See you later."

The envelope they have just sent contains the following information:

Name: Light Cloud
Gender: F
Occupation: Computer Scientist
Purpose for Visit: To teach Δέλτα to at least one Death Syndicate RDSS crewmember
Duration of Stay: 90 days or less

Name: Argus Sehad
Gender: M
Occupation: Diplomat
Purpose for Visit: To be a point of contact between Evrigenis and The Death Syndicate for matters relating to the RDSS
Duration of Stay: 90 days or less

Visa applications to The Death Syndicate.

You are, of course, free to reject the applications. However, using the RDSS' facilities will be nearly impossible without knowing the programming language Δέλτα, and it will be smoother to have a point person for anything that might come up relating to the RDSS or otherwise (like maybe a friendly IC martial arts sparring match). I'd rather have you know this now than by the time your astronauts get there and have nothing work.
