Yep, elections conclude tomorrow.

Many leaves are falling from the old trees standing near the streets. "Ouch! Watch your steps!" Stacy fell into the ground as she bumped into a stranger on her way to the lab. "A prey has appeared right in front of me. I hadn't eaten a single thing except for avocado coffee!" The undead individual leaped at Stacy but she tackled him, causing him to crash on a nearby tree. The tree falls and crushed his body to stinky bits. Stacy continued her journey to the laboratory. She wasn't aware of the undead being's still sentient head rolling in her direction.

A thief stole a chicken from a farmer in a village. "I can finally eat dinner after so many weeks." Some villagers noticed the man holding the chicken and began to form a mob to subdue him. "I have been doing this thing for many years. I would be fine." Unfortunately for him, he got caught by the angry mob and is brutally beaten to death as a result of his petty crime. "Damn. That hurts a lot! Has the bleeding stopped?" When the petty thief woke up, he briefly observed his surroundings and realized that he is on the spirit realm. The local environment resembled a forest with small shrines standing between the trees. A large serpent with a golden crown slithered through the forest. "It seemed that I'm in Hyang right now." He walked through the forest until he spotted a single cabin with a large paddy field nearby. "Hello. Does anyone live here?" A beautiful lady opened the door. She resembled an average Sundanese woman in her twenties. "I didn't expect a newcomer dwelling around here." She told the bloke to come inside the hut and make himself feel at home. "Thank you very much." The man ate a lot of fried rice before collapsing on the floor. He woke up in a few hours and went to the paddy field as the goddess had fallen asleep. "I can't stay in here for long. Lets steal what treasure was buried in this place." The thief began to dig with his hands and saw the body of a woman partially submerged on the dirt. Various crops were growing out of the celestial's body. "I'm starting to have a really bad feeling about this weird place." He ran away back into the forest. In the middle of his journey, he noticed a tree with the face of an old man. "I am Refafu, the guardian of the jungle. Thou have committed a grave mistake, sinner." The man got impaled by the roots of the tree as he was stunned. The last thing that he noticed is a big humanoid resembling a tiger stomping on his head.

Illiricium wrote:Hardly. Saying Serbian and Croatian are two different languages is like saying English and Australian are different languages too.

Yeah, but that doesn't get in the way of nationalism

Time shows the world as it is today, barbaric, heretical and degenerative, which has proven its worth countless times as each of them perishes and therefore is replaced with another sinful beast.
We can hear the tears of the soil and the screams of our ancestors, all with the demons who surround us to be blamed.
It's time for our eyes to be opened to the dark...

It's time we hold ourselves as the children of judgment.

---
Coj awakens from the isolation of the mind from the sound of thunder by the Leader of Offense, "Political Leader Coj! What caused such dreams in the circle be permitted to cause sleep!?"

Coj orientates its posture to reply, "With apologies Coj must commit, the night gave no kindness upon the PL of now."

"Us blobonu heard but not for the weakness for tiredness resistance!"

The leader of offense grunts to focus on calming down before continuing,
"Today topic is fact we have identity of ancient ancestral palace of sorts in north border of Gloleoinosoil."

The leader of defence points to images on the table,
"Praise to Aíba for our troops in discovery, for they the found one of most important historic cities of our ancestors, camouflage in design to test of time."
Coj gains eye widening intrest, "Is be open?"

Bwonk replys with a single nod before Coj looks at the second image with it in its hand, an image with a soldier holding up a gilded spear in perfect condition on a platform of an unknown language amongst a crowd of statues shaped like blobonu which appear to point directly to the pedestal.
"So myths be true..." Coj speaks again full of wonder.

The holy religious head of the Aíba faith begins speaking, "Stories of spirit guardian is true, golden spear in image be incompressible, this is new age of spirit discovery."

Like a strike to the nerve the Ideological leader is left staggered to what could mean a bright future has just now arrived, and hastily the bilbon makes its order,
"Let us get new path dug, engage the Red Plan and make sure that none are to enter this realm of blobonu, if resistance comes then get the rid of them blood skins!"

Coj makes stage as it jumps onto the table, "Reorganise Diplomacy Council under circle's control with Hagapop in power, along with power, embassies are be dissolved for sides of both as it make no progress in which proven now with weak usage.
Communication through identified colonies as well as community, is suitable."

Coj makes a final order before discussion,
"Gloleoinosoil as nation must direct focus on population increase, agriculture and Blobonukhanate Identification is be in legitimation."

Finished with the speech it has now spoken, the blobon returns to its stand and raises a hand for the circle to commence the discussion of the idea.
The Leader of Diplomacy speaks first without hesitation with its assistant, "This act could sprout problem for international relation with foreign blood, if act go through, it could the damage economy and be of cause to flow on river of isolation again between us and them."

Leader of Offense scoffs, "What Hagapop the think without knowledge of little dark age!?"

One of the Leader of Welfare's assistants pipes up, "Without wrong, Gloleoinosoil claims long years of isolation with issues made false-"

Diplomacy interrupts, "But what of now with existence of Albasoil the gone!"

Faith makes an offence, "Albasoil lives on!"

The Leader of Industry grins, "It appears more the dead by number of blobonu!"

"Burn in pit of rot!" Shouts the Faithful blobon in response as the Inner Circle's chamber could be heard outside the thick walls with the sound of rambling arguments...

Coj sighs and mumbles to itself, "Chaos be my oldest friend."
--------------------------------------------------------
1 soon to be Hour later...
--------------------------------------------------------
Coj puts down a finished drink of cider next to two other glass pints, "We done discussion or of no?"

Coj murmurs to it's co-governers, "The Red Plan, block off foreigners except our own, do the thing with colony trade and them communites as well as blowing up them embassies..."

The leader of Transportation makes an addition as a question, "What we do with the YEET?"

Coj looks over and smiles, "May the future speak to us soon brethren of new gold."

Coj looks to all of its competitors of the next election, "Voting has the commencement of the new order!"

At the doors leading into the outer circle, Coj neatly packs together the script of acts given by staff members who where involved in yesterday's Inner Circle discussion.
Written simple and direct, the script is designed to be spoken towards the gathering of seating folk which show themselves as most interactive and intelligent.
With a wipe of polish, a dust of the hat and a stretch of yoga, Coj is ready...

"Begin!" Coj spoke with order as the door simultaneously opens by the guardsblo, with the light shining through, Coj enters the chamber of 300 attending individuals as they wait with pens, laptops and occasionally typewriters at the ready with hovering fingers soon to burn their equipment with work.
Screens beside the the blobon switch on with texts as Coj, the crownless Khan of the state, stands high on the podium.

"Children of Alba!" Coj shouts,
"Today Gloleoinosoil become more of than what was before it!
Gold light has the shown new stars in sky that we, the last blobonu race, begin their movement of the brave! From corruption, terror, anarchy and destruction, we stand united once again against the godless dark!" The discussion, typing and writing flows on a river of activity as Coj continues,
"Today we mark the Red Protocol to be the enacted on behalf of our new discovery of ancients!"

Images would appear on the large screens,
"We get rid of the toxins of foreigners, the better we secure what lost! We aim for purity! We aim for our spirit! We aim for enlightenment!"

Activity would get louder as the 300 listen and work,
"With this we the seek greater connection with our international people, of community and haven, as hold they do on soil connection to which we the dissolve embassies with foreign powers! They will be the gate of movement!"

Coj turns to the next page,
"The sky over Gloleoinosoil and Tvedovosoil will be the protected with No-Fly-Zone policy for neighbouring states of the reborn blobonu khanate, their stains that mark the blue will be painted over with the supreme race we are for our ancestors glory!"

Some below the podium begin cheering and express their opinion above others, although distracting, Coj continues,
"We believe the unification of our race must develop agriculture, welfare and health to give rise to new future comrades! They will be the stars of night! They will the show true extent of our spirit! They will be Albakhans!"

One of the below, with the developing pressure of hype, pride and spirit causes the young yolbon to scream across the room above the rest without thinking, "FOR THE BLOBONUKHANATE!" As it shouts, it raises its hand in the air with three fingers for a moment apart and closes them as a form of a salute...

With wide eyes, Coj sees the most members of the crowd follow the salute like a stone fallen into a still pond.
This is the day and Coj salutes in return with a final order, "Object, abstain or accept! End of vote session begins!"

As the present becomes the past and the future becomes present, the circle of leaders spoke their last words towards their segregated rooms of 300 seats full.
8 political leaders for 8 rooms together constructs a total of 2,400 individuals to make the decisions for the whole nation of Gloleoinosoil and Tvedovosoil.

Each room once heard their leading party's final speach, they would have a discussion for a half hour or longer finalisation of their policy, a word to name it comes to mind...
The Purity Act.
An act to secure the identity and dreams of all blobonu people from the darkness of Valsoil as much as possible.

Along with the name comes with the vote;
• 1,752 voted to authorise the act with 73% of seats voted to confirm the existence of The Purity Act, with The Revolutionary Resurrectionist Collective as highest voter for The Purity Act.

• 504 voted to abstain from the vote with 21% of seats of the entire outer circle.

• 144 members of the Outer Circle voted against The Purity Act with 6% seats, the Forest Legion is with the highest seats against The Purity Act.

--------------------------------------------------------
Together once again the Circle unites to sit at the table, with the knowledge that the landslide of support for the enactment of the new act, it's calm and formal as the Circle's political elite watch patiently as Coj takes deep care into reading the paper...

With a nod, a box is taken out one of the draws just underneath the table and is opened, revealing a pen long ago curated by a forgotten diplomat.
With the cap taken off the pen, Coj dips it into the ink and scribes its signature at the back of the paper.

So the policy is complete and the act is now in progress, Coj looks towards the faction leader of the Tribal Ideal, a member skilled with the conserns of social policy, gives a nod to the feather wareing yolbon.
The Overseer of Society as the yolbon is known as, salutes with three fingers before knocking on the heavy doors with a mallet to exit the room.
As the Overseer exists the room, another Yolbon awaits with a plate of a selection of mobile phones that are owned by the individuals of the Circle, the Overseer grabs the flip phone off the tray and salutes the yolbon before making a call as it bounces towards the exit,
"Get vehicle at the ready for the direction to place of nation broadcasting station!" The Overseer demanded, "Alert their boss as well!"
--------------------------------------------------------
At the GNBA (Globonu National Broadcasting Agency), the door to Vort's office is blasted opened by a bilbon with urgency,
"Big boss!" It cried, "Info for the Overseer is coming!"

"What? To the GNBA!?" Vort replied, "Oh by the roots of Alba! The event of the Circle's great meetings was today?"

"Answer of now is correct!"

"Tell Horku that the git it is a idiot monkey and tell Horku to eat rock!"

"Yes boss!", the yolbon closes the door immediately causing one of the paintings to fall off the wall as the sound of speeding down the corridor makes a racket.

Vort then presses on the microphone's button with a buzz and breathes in before screaming into the microphone,
"Mago! Get into office of Vort or you are the be fired on sight if no appear!"
The microphone sends the message throughout speakers of the GNBA, no matter how thick the walls are, the roaring voice goes through every individual as some of them get into a panic.
A crash and a shout enters the corridor towards the office, a rattle of Volk's drink ripples as it gets more violent on every second until Mago reaches the door to open it nicely,
"Wat want boss." The large gelbon snapped,
"Why the call?"

"Mago, just got info of the Overseer's direction to arrive at GNBA for what Volk the believing of Breaking News category event."

Mago grunts to let Volk continue,
"We will go on the air once knock on door is made."

"Confirm I do, crew be ready." Mago says before heading off with the closure of the door.
--------------------------------------------------------
As the Overseer's truck pulls up to the front of the GNBA with the sky itself turning down with rain, as the tribalist leader is guided off the truck, the entrance of the GNBA opens up with the appearance of a large gelbon holding it open for the Overseer of Society which makes it up the cracked steps along with its guards.

"Overseer acknowledges gelb as guide?" The small leader spoke,
"show end of our travel"

"Follow this gelb as Mago is name." The green giant formally spoke.

Now along a following path the Overseer and its guards make their way towards the place where the show all takes place, to a room where two blobonu wait with headsets on amongst a variety of electrical equipment, the Overseer looks to one of its guardsblo and opens a small worn bag to take out a CD case to give to the two operators.
They take off the lid and place the unmarked CD into the player as a small TV screen turns on, with tests and trials until it appears suitable, they open the window into the recording booth where a stool and a silver microphone stands.

"Lights on you Overseer" says one of the operators with a salute.

The guards disband at the closed door of the booth with guns at their side as the Overseer stands on the stool to stretch and test its vocal cords before giving a clap above itself to signal 'I'm ready' to the two broadcasters.
They both salute and get to work with a line of dots towards the 'On Air' sign start turning on each second apart.
The dots draw from 4, 3, 2 and 1 to be all switched off as the 'On Air' signal goes bright...

Welcome Tropolic, Terbillan, Ussr m, Help12, Unifatnumotion, Rhine republic, Kingstoone, Yakkar to your home, The East Pacific.

Read below to get started in our region:

  • First, join the World Assembly. Joining strengthens our region and allows you to vote in the World Assembly as well as conferring additional privileges. Follow the guide below to get started:

    Welcome to REWARD.

Welcome to the REWARD Homepage. REWARD is The World Assembly Development Program of The East Pacific, and covers matters of World Assembly membership, endorsements and to a lesser extent, regional security. The aim of this program is to develop and nurture a stronger endorsement capacity and scene within The East Pacific. Our region, being one of the oldest and largest in NationStates, can only continue to build on its successes if we continue to strive for stronger endorsement levels. More endorsements allow for The East Pacific to wield more power in the World Assembly, and also allow for greater regional security from external threats who may wish to do our region harm.

This dispatch contains basic information about REWARD, as well as a directory to all REWARD resources.

What is the World Assembly, and what are Delegates and Endorsements?

    • The World Assembly is essentially the United Nations of NationStates (a little trivia fact, it was originally called the United Nations until the site's creator was Linknearly sued!) It has two chambers, the General Assembly, and the Security Council. The General Assembly tends to vote on basic laws and regulations, such as civil rights protections, or agriculture regulations. The Security Council votes on more gameplay-adjacent matters, such as Commends/Condemns of on-site nations, or liberations or injunctions of entire regions. The World Assembly is made up of tens of thousands of nations, just like yours who all have their say on proposals at vote.

    • Delegates are the elected leaders of a region. The nation who has the most endorsements is elected the Delegate. The East Pacific elects delegates through a long-standing and well-structured democratic system, wherein individuals run campaigns for the Delegacy, and select a government to serve alongside them.

    • Endorsements are a crucial in-game mechanic, allowing you to 'endorse' other nations in-game to give them more influence. For most nations, they don't mean an enormous amount, and most nations will endorse a couple of people, with no real change whatsoever. Though for a region, they are absolutely vital to its success. A region's Delegate requires endorsements to remain in the position, and our regional security, the Viziers, require them to keep our region safe from external threats. To endorse a nation, simply be a member of the WA, and scroll down to the bottom of another nation's page, then click that big ol' endorse button.

    What's in it for me?

Being a part of the REWARD program has its perks. Not only will you be standing side-by-side with a broad and diverse cast of nations from all across the east, but you'll be doing your part to ensure our region remains safe and secure. Your endorsements ensure no foreign adversary can harm our region, and strengthens The East Pacific's position in the World Assembly by adding your endorsement to our regional vote. When we go to vote on a resolution, you'll be able to not only have your say, but your endorsement on the Delegate will also add an extra vote to our regional vote (The Delegate's vote is worth however many endorsements they have. For example, if the Delegate has 400 endorsements, our region's vote will be worth 400 votes)

Your participation also grants you several perks in the region. You'll have access to honorary titles, such as 'Hussar of The East' or 'Winged Hussar of The East', and you'll get nice shiny badges to pair! These badges can be displayed with pride in your signature (which appears below your every post) on our LinkRegional Forums, or on the NationStates Forums! You'll be given a special Hussar role in our LinkRegional Discord, giving you access to it's WA channels, which will allow you to help guide our regional vote on every WA proposal. You'll also be entered into occasional giveaways and raffles for your loyalty and hard-work.

    Summary

Welcome to the East Pacific! We are one of the oldest regions out there, with 20 years of experience. We have a lot to offer, including two current tech roleplays and an accessible legislature and executive.

You are reading STEP, The East's guide to NationStates. Each dispatch contains a summary and then more detailed explanations, including screenshots and detailed insights from our experienced players. If you're new, we recommend reading every dispatch in order, but you can also read them independently of one another.

You have either been founded in a frontier or a feeder, two types of regions which accept new nations. If you find yourself in the East Pacific, please read this guide! If you aren't in the East Pacific, go to The East Pacific and scroll down until you see "Move [YOUR NATION] to the East Pacific."

You'll be seeing a lot of recruitment Telegrams, which can get spammy and annoying pretty quickly. To disable recruitment telegrams, head to Settings > Telegrams > Preferences > Block All under "Recruitment".

Nations receive issues once every six hours. Some issues spawn card packs, which contain cards ranked by rarity that you can retain, trade or sell.

    Got questions? Telegram Delegate American-Cascadia.

    Introduction

Hello and welcome to NationStates, and the East Pacific. You are currently reading STEP, our guide designed to get you jump started in the game. If you're like other newbies, you'll probably have many questions about how everything works. This guide, lovingly written by our hospitality team, is designed to answer all of your questions, and more. If you want to get a quick summary of things and then get launched into things, you will get the jist of things by reading the summaries on top of these dispatches, however our dispatches aim to be short and accessible while also going into enough detail, so we recommend you read them in full.

If you have any questions, we have multiple government members that are willing to answer them! Feel free to ask on the regional message board, or telegram our Delegate, they will be happy to answer any question you might have!

The East Pacific is one of five feeder regions who share fifty percent of all new spawns, with the other fifty percent going to frontiers, regions founded by users which also accept new nations, trading guaranteed security for the privilege. If you've let your nation go inactive and Cease to Exist, and then logged back in, you have likely spawned in one of three restorer regions, which are designed to rehabilitate nations that have returned after a brief period of absence.

If you're reading this, it is likely that you have been founded in the East Pacific, however, if you haven't you are still more than welcome to join, and we would love to have you on board. To move, you should go to the East Pacific's regional page, scroll down until you see the Move [YOUR NATION] to the East Pacific and then click on it.

The East Pacific is an active democracy, and participation can be enjoyed by all that seek to contribute in good faith. If you're interested in joining, STEPs Three onwards will take you through applying to the East Pacific.

    Telegrams

Many regions send you automated recruitment telegrams in an attempt to get you to join their region. There are a lot of these, and it can get spammy and overwhelming fast. Thankfully, NationStates has given you a way to block Telegrams you don't want. To do this, you need to click on the settings button, which is usually found in the top bar of the page.

If you then scroll down to telegrams and go to preferences, you'll see a grid which looks something like this:

Our recommended settings are as follows, however, you are free to choose whatever you want. "Allow Some" occasionally allows telegrams in, and "Allow Most" blocks some. If you click the "block all" for recruitment, your nation will stop receiving the large volume of recruitment telegrams. Keep in mind that your inbox can only hold twenty telegrams.

    Issues and Cards

Issues are problems that you need to handle, and they impact your nations statistics and rankings abroad. Initially you get a higher rate of issues like normal, however, once you've played the game for a while, you only get one issue every six hours. As long as you abide by general decorum, the East Pacific does not penalise you for the way you answer issues - we're a big community, and your type of nation reflects that.

There is no "correct" way to answer issues, only the way that you want to. Every issue changes your statistics, and some might change your national policy. If you want to, there are websites such as this Linkone that give you the general trend in issue outcomes, however using these aren't necessary and you should only do it if you find it fun!

Issues sometimes generate cards. Cards are minted irregularly and are a snapshot of a nation, divided into various classes of rarity, from common to legendary. Cards can be bought, sold and traded on the market.
