The Miller Administration Press Conference on the Alcatii Front
1:38 PM EST(Eastern Solitas Time)
3:38 PM MST(Western/Monach Solitas Time)
Press Secretary:
All right, everyone. Good afternoon.
The President would like to inform the American public, the states of the union and global allies that we are keeping an eye on the situation in Holmes. Our administration would like to make clear that our presence in Valonia is purely to stop harm towards civilians from USS-designated terrorists. Not as any sort of repression or discrimination against any ethnic group. In Valonia, we are taking the strictest and most comprehensive measures to minimize the possibility of collateral damage. The USS is a nation that fights with honor and dignity, brutality and rights violations are not tolerated by the military.
We would also like to thank the statements of support and actions from Governor McCarthy, who we commend for discouraging and condemning the actions of the Alcatii Front. Going forward the Miller Administration will open investigations by the National Intelligence Bureau(NIB) on the Alcatii Front in coordination with the McCarthy Administration to determine if the group is a danger to the public. We will also work with the New Rosenreacher government and police organizations to preserve order in Holmes and the rest of the state.

I'm actually going to vote for, considering how much effort the author put in that he left a controversial region he was in just to attain support for it.
So anyway I made some financially irresponsible decisions at the yarn store

In Daravon's case:
1c) Daravon has concerns about this kind of mandatory ingredient-based regulation of foodstuffs, especially given the current wording. Under these regulations, it seems that Daravon could effectively be required to force companies to shift to alternative sweetners which often have more major concerns about their health risks - for instance, high fructose corn syrup, or the various artificial sweetners. Furthermore, Daravon in principle opposes requiring collaboration with industry in regulation; the government must have total authority to regulate business as it sees fit, and Daravon has concerns that this would in fact undermine the government's ability to address these issues in meaningful ways.
2) To simply encourage messaging on this issue would be acceptable to Daravon, but also seems rather superfluous given it functionally does nothing. Encouraging governments to employ "celebrities" as spokespeople is, in Daravon's opinion, entirely the wrong thing to do. This is exacerbeted by that fact that, in this case, the government would be encouraging the population to rely on non-qualified celebrtities for health advice, effectively sponsoring the medical credibility of a class of people that seems, in many cases, thoroughly (and often financially) entwined with health pseudoscience.
