Following this rejection of demands, Altaeum officially declares war on the Soviet insurgency and calls for all anti-communist powers to join in their crusade against the Red Menace.

Altaean fighter drone squadrons begin to fly over Russian borderlands to soften any infantry advance with preliminary carpet bombings.

The Altaean navy moves along the Russian coasts to engage their fleets. The terrestrial army is in tow ready to land under friendly skies.

King Landrey V addressed the Altaean people after his edict for war was issued.

"My people, my kinsmen. The fatherland calls you to defend its honor and bring home our people in foreign captivity. The communist menace seeks to destroy our land and lay waste to the world. We will stop them and solidify our glory. We will eliminate this threat and demand our nation be treated with respect and dignity.

IC: The TNA announced today after the news of the altaean declaration of war against the USRR that the internal troops have been mobilized. This is the first time the newly formed military organization is put to test. The internal troops are said to "Defend the border between the USRR and the TNA. Aswell patrol the territorial waters". The army have mobilized most of the anti-air and anti-ship brigades and the airforce will be guarding the TNA Airspace.

The United Oceanic Region issues an official declaration of war against the USSR, with the expectation to continue the war until the Altaeum war goal is fulfilled. The UOR's air and naval fleets impose an international embargo against the USSR, with the goal of starving the USSR's capability for waging war and maintaining its economical capabilities.

Altaeum officially rejects the offer of the UOR and in an official statement from the Ministry of Diplomacy, issues the following statement:

"The Kingdom of Altaeum has not will never recognize the illegitimate communist insurgency in Russia. They hold Altaean citizens captive and a nation hostage. They are terrorists and have no national sovereignty with which to bargain. We do not negotiate with terrorists.

This being said, we gave the Russians a chance for the peaceful return of our people. Their rejection of our ultimatum and rampant disrespect has led to this war.

We demand unconditional surrender of the communists to a monarchist Russian government and return of Altaean captives.

Until that happens, the shadow of war will continue to be cast on Eastern Europe, and Altaeum will continue to deliver its wrath for the vindication of its people."

Altaean terrestrial forces breach Russian lands and land just east of Archangel. They fortify their landing and use their naval fleets to create a secure sea route with which to supply the troops. Reinforcements are additionally sent to strengthen their foothold.

Altaean air forces continually carpet bomb the Russian borderlands and level both industrial and military targets. Their bombing are often preceded by the dropping of pamphlets warning noncombatant citzens to flee before the bombing run.

General Othar Brenstadt, commander of Altaean forces in Russia, has additionally airdropped pamphlets encouraging the common Russian people to rise up and help the liberating force Altaeum has sent.

As a result of Altaeum continued and relentless war of words and now official invading are sovereign territory we are requesting that GIASC through are ambassador in Kingston to condemn and withhold Altaeum from receiving any military assistance and sanction them for the world markets. As a result of Altaeum actions their ambassador was found guilty of war crimes against the Russian people and he publicly executed. However if Altaeum withdraws from are sovereign territory then we will return the ambassador along with the remaining staff. However if Altaeum does not withdraw will execute the ambassador along with the rest of the Altaeum teaming embassy staff.

Seeing no organized defense from the Soviets, Altaean forces are reinforced and set up a permanent, fortified field HQ at their landing. A force pushes to surround and take Archangel. Naval blockades and army encampments surround the city and cut off supply. A second detaché of Altaean forces secure a perimeter to defend the beseigeing force. The remaining forces are stationed at the Field HQ.

Altaen air forces are redirected to bombard Archangel and provide close air support should any Soviet force arrive. General Brenstadt calls for local leaders in Archangel to surrender and prevent further bloodshed. He promises to let them live should they give in without a fight.

A few fighter squadrons continue to drop pro-Altaeum propaganda throughout Russia.

The UOR has set propaganda and envoys to Vladivostok to make the Russian people see the UOR as liberators, whilst tryig to convince them to join the Imperial Government of Russia.

After prolonged seige and silence from local leaders, Altaean forces finally broke through the disorganized local garrison and occupied Archangel. The assaulting force and detaché took only minor casualties from the local, ragtag militia. They spared no time in resupplying and moving forward from the city. The force heads south on a warpath to St. Petersburg. They have yet to meet organized resistance. Altaean air forces provide CAS and scout for any possible ambush. Cruise missiles from Altaean Destroyers have begun bombarding Soviet naval bases to sink their ships before they can even fight in the open water.

General Brenstadt has officially moved his campaign HQ to the more defensible Archangel. Additionally, the Altaean government has located a somewhat distant Romanov relative and declared him rightful king of Russia. The heir is Andrei Romanov and is being kept in Altaeum for his safety.

In Archangel, the Provisional Russian Regency is established by joint Russo-Altaean efforts. Local anti-communist Russians have been placed at the head of this government which claims to be the true government of Russia. Altaean advisors (military and non) have been installed to ensure stability and efficiency of governance. The PRR parliament has unanimously granted Andrei Romanov the kingship of Russia and will operate in his name until he can be installed has undisputed head of state. Then the regency will restructure into a constitutional monarchy.

This Russian-led government is sure to grant legitimacy to the liberating forces fighting the USSR.

King Landrey V has called upon all true monarchs to recognize the claimant Andrei. He releases detailed records confirming the man's legitimacy.

Howellen declares war to aid the monarchist Altaean forces in their fight against the evils of communism. Howellenian naval fleets are sent to strengthen Altaeum's blockade of Russia.

A naval strike force is diverted to the Baltic to bombard St. Petersburg.

Howellen sends ground forces to Archangel to further fortify the HQ there. Howellen keeps its air force back for the time being.

Following the most recent attack on Soviet Russia and the lost innocent civilians Alexandrian-Prussian Government is demanding immediate cease-fire from all sides involved. HM the King and the Minister-President have summoned both the Ambassadors from Altaeum and Soviet Russia. Just to go war prior to trying to come up with a diplomatic resolution is unacceptable one. All further acts of war will be considered act of defiance against GIASC and Alexandria-Prussia will respond accordingly. Make no mistake we do not agree with what either Russia or Altaeum have done. But we most spare any additional innocent military and civilian lives. This war has the potentially in gulf the entire continent if not the world into chaos, which GIASC nor Alexandria-Prussia will stand for. GIASC will hold a private meeting with both parties involved. ALL will participate in this meeting.

Altaean forces take St. Petersburg and easily put down the disorganized militia force. Encountering no organized defense, they resupply and push east towards Moscow.

Is the nascent Imperial Russian Government) names St. Petersburg its new capital and moves to govern there. They have raised a volunteer army of Russian Royalist forces to garrison the city. Reinforced by Howellen, Archangel swells in size. Given this fact. An Altaean force is sent to St. Petersburg to help garrison the new capital.

Altaean air forces provide CAS and scouting for the advancing force.

The strike teams bombing USRR ports have reported great success and continue on the effort to cripple the red navy.

Howellen garrisons Archangel and sends 1/3 of its force south toward Moscow to pincer the city in.

All fleets help blockade.

Howellen recognizes Andrei as rightful tsar of Russia and proclaims official support for the PRR.

Following the taking of St. Petersburg, Vladivostok ceases to be the Imperial Russian capital, and acts as a city of the PRR, and pledges allegiance to the government in Petersburg. With the Communist forces focused in the West, the Eastern Territory of Russia quickly falls to combined Russian and Imperial forces, until any target of interest is in allied hands. Instead of advancing into Siberian wasteland, the UOR begins a second invasion into the Black sea. The landing into the Crimea is premature, and the UOR is forced to withdraw. The UOR has set up a puppet state made up of some of the Russian Pacific islands, which has made the UOR greatly unpopular to the people in East Russia and the government of the PRR. There are calls to either to relinquish this puppet state or face war, but the UOR ignores these calls based upon the current state of the Russian nation. Thus far the UOR has suffered 75,000 casualties in the war against the Soviets, with another 50,000 either missing or prisoners of war, mainly as a result of the disastrous Black Sea Campaign. Nearly all other casualties are a result of the harsh weather, which the UOR underestimated. To prevent further casualties, the Antarctic forces of the UOR, making up 15,000 soldiers hardened against extreme cold, become the main forces for use in the Eastern campaign. The UOR calls it allies to reconsie the Pacific Puppet state of Imperial Japan, making up small islands off the coast of Russia north of Japan, as a legitimate state in the Federation of the United Oceanic Region, and threatens to withdraw from the conflict unless this territory is secured for the Union.
