Kazima
The village of Mpinda has been emptied since the early morning due to ongoing clashes between the People's Liberation Front of Lyoa and the Mai-Mai Kilalo. According to locals, the PLFL entered the village demanding supplies and money, which the Mai-Mai Kilalo group was made aware of shortly after the PLFL arrived. The Mai-Mai proceeded to attack the village and heavy fighting ensued. The residents of Mpinda fled the village as the fighting raged on. At the current moment, it is unknown who has control of the village, but gunfire has been continued to be reported.

Nyabari
A rocket was fired at the Nyabari Special Security Service office in the western part of the city. Part of the building was damaged by the rocket, and one SSS agent was reported to have been killed. The National Freedom Front claimed responsibility for the attack.

Clint Fonda - Sequoyah's most legendary outlaw
Called King of Austin, El Liberatore, and the Man with no Name, the outlaw known as Clint Fonda (this is not believed to be his birth name) has struck again, this time attacking a mine. The mine was known for its horrific conditions. Fonda, known to attack businesses that mistreat their workers, was seen standing at the front of the mine, Pancho over his shoulder and pistol in his hand. He led all the workers out of the mine, placed dynamite inside of it with the help of some men, raided the office, and then detonated the mine entrance. Gowen Iron and Petroleum reported a loss equivalent to 40,000 Quebecshirite credits. Workers have been instructed to excavate the entrance of the mine. Fonda is typically known for his cattle rustling, but since the beginning of the Caprican Conflict he has solely attacked Gowen Iron and Petroleum. Fonda is known for his quick-draw and sharp-eye and is reportedly responsible for the deaths of 20 men, including several Gowen managers and Pinkertons.

The constitutional republic of zion wrote:A marine growls. As the Paleocacherians leave, the Marines begin singing a traditional Sequoyan song, but with altered lyrics.
"Way up North in the land of slavers,
Who can't hire an investigator
Right away, come away, right away, come away
Where Aurebastardy's king and men are chattels
Paleo's men will spit and babble
Right away, come away, right away, come away
We'll all go up to Paleo, away, away
Each paleo man must understand
that he must mind his Uncle Sac
away, away, we'll all go up to Paleo
away, away, we'll all go uppppp
to Paleo"

Southern Ocean
Once the boats were hoisted back aboard the former detainees stowed belowdecks, the head of the marine contingent told Captain Morris what had happened. Hmm... Impressive. I imagine they spent most of their voyage coming up with that. I'd never be able to face the other captains at fleet headquarters if I let the Sequoyans have the last word on the matter. All ahead two thirds, sound general quarters.

The Lyla Powell increased speed to twenty knots, outpacing the Sequoyan ships maximum speed. It made a single wide circle around the Sequoyan steamer playing the Paleocacherian Naval Anthem from its loudspeakers and honked its horn. The ship turned west back towards New Gandor with its passengers and departed into the sunset with its flag flying high and its crew waving merrily to the Sequoyans from the stern as they sailed away.

So Vietnamese naval infantry had 90 targets on me but I had like 38 shields. I was gonna shoot down 38 so not all would hit and I'd live until the next wave.

So I'm ready, got my tab open. But I'm multitasking and stuff.

Anyway, I get up and go to take a dump.

Come back to my desk and bam, dead.

GG moment.

Failures of the Aurebeshian Superstate and its Destiny of Inferiority, Dr. Droz, Université d'Orléans

The modern age has been generous to Terraconserva, we have seen great strides in medicine, living standards, transportation, communication, and just about every other global field. The desire to benefit from this vast improvement of life itself has led the governments of the world to be motivated to act in the interest of yielding the most easily accessible results of the financial wealth of the world, as well as its wealth in the forms of goods and services.

As a result of this, alliance blocs, particularly for commerce, have solidified in recent decades. The Cooperation and Development Coalition, the Blue Economic Zone evolving, or as I will later argue, devolving into Aurebeshia, and the Terraconserva Economic Union being the major networks of political, diplomatic, military, and fiscal power in the world.

It is generally accepted that CODECO, while important, is a more niche alliance, purposed with the development and mutual advancement of two states in the international community that generally lack modern development and recognition as developed powers. CODECO, as an independent entity, thus has few political goals other than the mutual interests of the Lyoan republic and the Creeperian imperial stratocracy. This causes CODECO to be completely sustainable, so long as the power of the alliance, if it were to accept new members, always lies firmly in the hands of the Creeperian and Lyoan states. Seeking to ensure this sustainability is not negatively impacted by other factions, CODECO has moved itself to be relatively aligned towards the Terraconserva Economic Union in most global diplomatic disputes, which can be attributed to Quebecshire’s cultural influence in cities in both CODECO states, and its economic relationship to Creeperopolis. The relationship of CODECO to the TEU, while seeming like a surface-level amicability, shows the entrenched powers Quebecshire holds to influence global politics to the benefit of itself and its allied states.

This leaves the two primary factions of international trade and diplomatic action to be the Terraconserva Economic Union and its sympathizers, and the Aurebeshian superstate and its sympathizers. The Terraconserva Economic Union, while having nations that sit within Quebecshire’s cultural and linguistic spheres, does not have a unified structure of any political means excluding their ability to each vote on proposals. This, in essence, simplifies the bloc to two purposes it must fulfill: Yield benefits, prosperity, and further leverage for Quebecshire internationally, and to yield fiscal and diplomatic protections and benefits to the more vulnerable states of the organization. There is no further goal, so long as the TEU can keep its member states stable, inter-protective, and free from the risk of outsider intervention or harm, the organization shall remain steadfast and sustainable.

This leaves Aurebeshia, an international personification of greed and arrogance which has dealt itself a fate of unsustainability. Aurebeshia, since it was born out of the Blue Economic Zone, has become not simply an economic and diplomatic unit, but now a political one. One which possesses its own constitution, regulations, legislatures, and courts. On the surface, this may make it appear stronger, more united. Nonetheless, the opposite is true. Aurebeshia’s desire to be more united, more like a superstate than a faction, has cemented its destiny as a failure. Their attempts to force political and interests conformity beyond finances and security will inevitably cause cracks in the alliance, and this has already been displayed to the world. The issue of Ernest Pyle greatly divided the alliance, and had the Terraconserva Economic Union not stepped in with its more coordinated effort to resolve the issue for them, it could have caused great divides. I would go so far as to argue that had Greater Sacramento spoken up on the Paleocacherian and Malgan side of the issue, it would have irreparably alienated Eminople and New Gandor from the organization and forced them to reconsider their commitments to it.

The Pyle controversy has not been the first, nor will it be the last issue that divides Aurebeshia. By making their organization have political and legislative institutions, as well as judicial ones, they have no longer made their alliance about mutual international interests. It’s about politics. Left or right. Liberal or conservative. Secular or state religion. Stratocracy or freedom to serve. It is now about things that are typically considered beneath foreign policy aims. The political interests of an Islamic Republic on the western continent and its domestic representatives sent to Aurebeshian institutions cannot exist permanently without coming into conflict with the representatives of secular and cultural differing states with widely different world views on the international stage. Aurebeshia has allowed itself to devolve and then allowed those devolved factors to attempt to each be a piece of its larger function, rendering it a broken and useless machine. Aurebeshia is divisible, and I am confident after my research and consideration that time will prove this true.
