Dregonia, Jack Russells have proven to be terrible spies.
Most of the activity in olden times was on the off-site forum. The constitution and parliament didn’t get much interest, but many took part in the games and the Acadian section was completely in French which kept others on side.
The forum changed owners and the new forum put people off. In other regions forums have given way to Discord, which is often then abandoned.
It would be great to attract people new to Nationstates, have more WA members, but we aren’t doing badly. This region will be 18 years old next month, which is impressive. If some old nations live here in happy retirement, that’s a good thing.
