The streets were loud with people, crowded and yelling. Across the entire city the roadways were full of people, the Election Day has arrived and from above, nothing could be heard but the roar of voices and the cries of ideologies. Mass amounts of Montarcian flags flew, hoisted above building, in windows, waived by rambunctious citizens. The liveliness of politics unmatched since the Revolution of 1971.
As the day wains, the crowd ebbs and flows, replacing the ones who need to rest with freshly rested people. The polling booths are filled with people, buttons being pressed, slides being pulled, cards being sorted. The sun begins hanging low on the Capitol: Nantois. Adults begin filling bars as the students head back to campus, everyone’s televisions on, all watching, waiting for the next bit of election piece and slowly, each county begins turning the yellow color of the UTDM. The final tally is not stated until 3:12AM Montarcian Time.
The UTDM wins in a landslide 143-2, the other seats being an independent Communist and the other an independent farmer who has shown sympathies with the UTDM.
The next day is just as loud as the last. Millions gather in the streets, music playing, the people singing the chorus of the national anthem:
“Long live the people, in its happiness and quietness!

All the bars, restaurants, and cafés seem to understand the potential, and offer discounts for the rest of the week. Dancing, singing, drinking was common in every public space, park, and crossroads from dusk until dawn, and then some. Celebrations were had all over.
Things were not so pleasant for those dedicated to the Army. Almost as soon as the new Parliament took office, they were rushed by train to focus on the Utocistian Border. Those Reservists were lucky enough to get sent home, the active duty soldiers, however... They celebrated as lines of boxcars, passenger cars, and dining cars were full of the most rowdy, drunken soldiers imaginable were ferried to the mountains and the northern forests; flatcars full of tanks dragged with them. It seemed as though the entirety of Montarc cheered at the prospect of new, brighter horizons...
Montarc Formally Closes Utocistian Border! Calls Up Solarians!

As the past week of parades, music, and merriment were full in our minds, the 10th Parliament has officially spent this time removing troops from the borders with SSTO aligned nations and focused on the Utocistian border. In an official release, The Parliament has stated, “The Republic of Montarc officially has set a grace period of 2 months to the near-total closure of the border with Utociste-Zeme. A border fence shall be erected across the aforementioned. Specific attention is to be given to Sud Kopek, where the only crossing permissible will take place by a set of four checkpoints. The city, however, will have a wall built so as to properly separate any monarchist influence from the nation of Utociste-Zeme...”
As tensions heat up, Montarc has also humbly sent word to the Solarians to see if they would be willing to aid the Montarcian nation monetarily or in any other capacity in securing modern arms and equipment for the MAR. This extends as well to their alliance, the SSTO, as a whole.

After 1 and a half days of extracting Survivors from Riobaíana, the SAR team came back with 193 survivors when the destroyers FNP Ovídio Góes, FNP Aurélio Varejão and FNP Arepa dock in Rochavermelha Port and welcomed by Government officials. General Francisco Vásquez will give the order for the SAR team to proceed to Setesantos by January 12, 2021.

The statement and offer to buy equipment was run through all members of the Sargassian Administration and the decision to help was granted. Whoever is in charge of the Montarcian parliament, would receive an offer of Sargassian equipment for purchase with the main pitches being Artillery and ammunition. If they'd want a live demonstration or to view all available choices firsthand, attending the Strangereal Defense Expo is mentioned several times.
