The Royal Rangers flag flew at half mast today. Half way up to signify that they got half way to victory and they got half of the victory. The people of Ankh-Morpork were confused upon seeing the flag up after they watched the last second of the game.
Declan McGallagher stood in his office clenching the back of his chair. Shaking his head and cursing, he flung his chair around in a circle. He looked up from the spinning chair when a knock sounded on the thick oak doors that barred entry.
“Come in,” the king stated. He stopped his chair and sat down, hoping to conceal any look of anger from his face. The Minister of Sports walked into the room with Declan’s assistant close at his heels.
“Calm down. I know what happened, and making an example won’t help.” The Minister walked behind the heavy maple desk to look out the window behind Declan’s back.
The Minister and king were childhood friends, otherwise this behaviour would have had the visitor on the green lawn before he could have said, “Fizban!”
The Minister shook his head and laughed. “Look at them, out there on the field. Even the kids are laughing and playing. Maybe you should take a vacation for a few weeks. Maybe even visit the beautiful landscapes of Asthea. I’ve heard that they also have great food there.”
The Minister patted Declan on the shoulder and walked out the oak doors. Declan’s assistant by the doors and closed them when the Minister left.
“Clear my schedule for the next month. All meetings, decisions, and official business is to be put on hold until I get back. I’m going to see if I can stay with Emperor Hirohito of Asthea.”
With that, Declan ordered the assistant out of the room and began to type, easing his mind from last night.

Declan McGallagher was sitting at his computer typing out his email to Emperor Hirohito about his potential vacation to the luscious country of Asthea, received an email from The anarchist far east concerning the terrorist gas attack at the Fizbanian National Airport. He sighed, pulled up the email, and started reading.
When he finished, he quickly rose from his chair and called the Minister of Armed Forzes and ordered him to cooperate with The anarchist far eastian and East supple lundan forces in order to find the perpetrators responsible for the attack. Declan also told them to keep him updated on movements and identities on suspects and perpetrators.
