As they swim closer, they realize that it’s a computer of some sort! And it’s still somehow functioning under the water!

They attempt to pick up the computer without damaging any of it's components

I’d say destroying it is the most important thing but don’t risk your divers lives for it. Btw when does your divers oxygen tanks run out. They have been diving a long time. They need to get oxygen!

They've got Atmospheric Diving suits with High capacity tanks.

They came back up to the ship earlier.

One of the divers attempts to lay their hand on it, but is stopped by some sort of stretchy, see-through wall of film blocking the computer from them.

They attempt to break the Film and take the computer anyway

yes

Santamar wrote:They attempt to break the Film and take the computer anyway

The film is extremely difficult to pierce, but they eventually manage to penetrate through it and pull out the computer. As they do, a massive roar resounds through the chamber, filling the water with vibrations. The wall of film shifts and trembles.

Why?

Santamar wrote:The cruisers fire depth charges near the location of the Divers, attempting to Scare the creature

The depth charges do what they’re made to do - destroy. They pound away at the base of the bottom factory, exploding many of the support beams. As a gigantic, partially see-through creature half the size of the entire chamber turns to view the divers, the entire structure begins to crumble and collapse around them.

Greatly, you really should start exterminating that dangerous wildlife and replacing it with normal things

The divers attempt to take cover to survive the collapse of the Structure
