Submarine-Planes are possible if you invest enough time and budget.

The first monoplanes of the interwar period (I have come to my great homeland in Peoria, Illinois from Chicago so I was gone for a few hours)

The armor is far more important! Lives can be replaced easily, but how could you replace such venerated armor?

Also, combined arms techniques do work very well with this weapon.

Indeed. I’m working on making my army much more mobile, so I’m planning a lot more vehicles to be added. This is one of them.

Almost T2 NFT.

Strala wrote:I mean what exactly is your SA era?

T1 NFT, would've been well into T2 if NS wasn't INTENTIONALLY HOLDING ME BACK.

The Pacific Ring wrote:T1 NFT, would've been well into T2 if NS wasn't INTENTIONALLY HOLDING ME BACK.

NS is a script, it's not intentionally doing that

Yeah...
I am honestly waiting until I actually get to T2 IFT so I can start planning how my military is going to be. I am like 20 SA away from it.

Which defeats the purpose of such armor in the first place. Well, unless it is something like a megastructure in space, but here we'll need materials that'll survive stresses that not even a planet can survive, and that's beyond the scope of RP here.

Then again in this hypothetical story that says "f u" to physics I'm currently conceptualizing, such a secondary mode of protection is an insane amount of water that absorbs pretty much anything. The outer armor protects the physical structure itself while a dizzying array of heatsink cables spread out all over the thing like a gigantic cosmic pincushion to radiate waste heat.

M'kay. Pacific that's your reason. You're SA is far too low. Wait until IFT T1 to start making prototypes of what you truly want, and IFT T2 to actually start producing them.

So if there's a battle that ends, there are people who go out, dump the human slushie out of armor suits, and then drags it back to base?

Unfortuanatley, yes. It’s best if you avoid getting hit by anything larger than a Browning .50 cal. That might break a rib or two, but things larger than that will start doing some severe internal damage.

The Pacific Ring wrote:Coil-assisted/rail-assisted machine guns. I'll find a way to make it work.

I’ll be looking into it as well.

Strala wrote:The armor is far more important! Lives can be replaced easily, but how could you replace such venerated armor?

The armor isn’t exactly venerated, but we do tend to reuse it when we can.

You sure you're not tricking me and secretly went to an actual university?

It saves more space than physical currency which is nice

Nope, I'm being truthful, it's what reading Atomic Rockets does to ya. You pick up a lot of knowledge that tells you that science fiction is mostly impossible. The possible bit is where you say "screw logic, I'm going to go as near as I can to it, and then beyond as I handwave the rest".

Yeah, some of the messes that have been pulled out of the armor are not pretty. Humans can, in fact, be turned effectively into jelly.

Oh hey my battleship refit is complete. Excellent.
