Saiwalóna is a Wattinrae word for the volcanic seas in the north ocean.

I do be like asking Sama first, because many Civs didn't exist when the world was mapped. I actually included the Civilization of the Arembia timeline that mapped the world in mine, meaning they are responsible for naming.

Also, Jar, look at the Activity feed... EDIT: the nation I was hinting at is gone

The Helcaraxë.

Also known as the Grinding Ice and features in The Silmarillion.

Nice

Kathol Rift is totally using Khaltanari for “Hot Tub” to describe that area. Just as soon as I make up “Hot Tub” in Khaltanari.

So, Saiwalona and Alrath sound good enough for me. You?

What's Black Valley then?

The Pacific Ring wrote:Okay. So, Pilthon, I pulled out of a name generator, Esterto is slightly Spanish, and Alrath has that danger feel to it, which sounds like "All Wrath."

Hmm. I do need some meaning behind names... Pilthon can't get me to anything meaningful...
Spanish doesn't really fit, considering our position and lack of Spanish civs in the region.
Alrath sounds more like it, and I'll take it into consideration. Comes close to how I create names sometimes.

But give me time for my own suggestions. I was set to continue the fanfic atm

I'll eventually get Sama's assistance with making my territory. I did notice an unclaimed island fairly far from most people. Top left of the map, which means that I've got some space from everyone else. Or I could ask to be slapped up into the far far North.

That will be bad for Adjus and Nacoa, who also planned to be there, once they get to create something to be accepted by Sama.

Morinan.

You’ve got a couple ways of going for the climate you have. One, that island you mentioned, but ask Sama to move it further north so there’s ice caps around it most of the time, but still an island, which would fit your naval theme. Two, literally anywhere but make it really high altitude.

Well, we'll see. I certainly want to be isolated, and won't take anything less than that.
My other problems will be how the hell I'm meant to explain my reason for existence.
I need nations stupid enough to send under-prepared exploration trips that get marooned on my island (or landmass, since I want it to be fairly large if possible.)

'2168 UC
Aha Maela begins worldwide exploration, endeavouring to map the world.'

That would be the part. Only need some advice by Sama on certain, minor points. Storms happened a lot during IRL world exploration, causing people to be ship-wrecked.

You can probably get some of my elvish diaspora. Up to you if they bring their Hristorin with them.

Right, right. So I could just have Aha Maelan folks shipwreck themselves in my region, have them fracture and spread out, develop unique identities and cultures, so on, so forth.

I'm likely going to stick with mostly humans, maybe a select few Faunus or something, since I'll be close enough to H&S that it would be possible some of their people end up in my area.

I need to hit you up for another reason anyway, that regards EL and my independence and who guarantees it. I'm set to include Strala and Sama has shown interest. But including you, due to geography, would make sense as well.

Correct.
Though, I don't know that much about the civ apart from what the MegaVerse history timeline tells me.
Just ask Sama, the Godly Presence of the MegaVerse

I keep thinking you're to the west of EL, not directly on top of it and as a small group of islands. I wouldn't mind, since, tactically speaking, you make a good location for launching offensives into EL.

Right, right. I'll ask once I'm prepared to start writing my Megaverse history.
Else, for now, I'll keep to myself and remain shrouded in mystery.

I'm just thinking strategically since you and Strala are defacto the closest to have sent an Intervention Force, as described in my [Red Love Revolution] post.
Plus, the strategic value and all, which you mentioned.

yus

I suppose the only problem with my plan is that I am very far from all of my allies- and I'm closer to none other than the FGO than I otherwise would be.

You would be closer to me due to North Pole.
On Earth, we are on the opposite side of the world, basically.

Being isolated tends to make that happen. But you’d be fairly close to Haven.
