It probably won't be needed, the national guard is currently standing by. They just haven't deployed them yet because things would have been even more violent. Currently, the intimidation route is being followed, with lots of questioning and preventive arrests until things calm down. This is what the Eastern Government has in plan. In the West, things are uncertain. They have vandalized and almost destroyed a city center in there, but it has been repaired mostly, and after threats have been made, the protests have calmed down with the destruction of public property.

To give more context, the Western Republic is famed for it's dictatorial past, and for being a Military Junta supporter in the civil war. Their threats were definitely taken seriously by the Green Shirts, especially since their leadership remained mostly the same even after the war ended, as the Unionist League is mostly comprised of former government officials (those who were not banned from running in politics, obviously).
The East has always been more liberal and free, but their administration was changed after the civil war. Nobody knows who they are, and it is rumored, as we stated, that they may not even be from either Alkal. This is why their threats were not taken as seriously.

I sort of inferred this from what information there was scattered about, the reactions of the corporation and the message log reflect an in-character understanding, or lack thereof, of the situation.
Only what is known is reacted to, hence the closure of Eastern Alkal facilities... and yet the untouched nature of the Western Alkal Facilities, but heightened security... cultural and historical aspects play very little into these actions, only the current situation's nature, does.
