Welcome to the raider propaganda part of the evening, I guess.
Natives aren't "losing trust" in defenders. Very few small regions have much awareness of what's going on in GP. I say that as someone who ran a small region for a couple years.
Things that make natives lose trust in defenders are things like the Solidarity raid, not a couple headachey episodes. Most natives just know they don't want their region destroyed by a cavalcade of griefers.

The main issue with defenderdom at the moment would appear to be that the more egocentrist (for want of a better term) style of defending that eclipsed the old moralist factions is now itself in decline with nothing obvious to replace it yet. The current trend of opportunistic independent regions (Europeia, Balder) espousing defender virtues to try and remain relevant has done little to change that.
So what's happening is a power swing from defenders to raiders. That's natural, and at some point defending will regroup and it'll start to swing back again.

I'd like to make clear that I say this as a private player and any opinions about Europeia are my own.
