I can be gorgeous, I can be ghoulish, but I am never short of greatness. Victory runs in my veins, pumping to the rhythm of my stride as I cause the tides to rise and fall on one of my whims. The world seeks to please me, begging to be controlled, my dominion stretching for as far as I can see, but such power doesn't come for free, there is the matter of such a small fee. What is morality in the face of glory? It will hardly matter by the time that I am old and hoary. So don't ignore me, it's something you can't afford, if you want to win you had best hope I don't get bored.
It makes much more sense rhythmically in my mind, but I've just seen Hamilton and the lyrical precision is the object of my envy.
It has had the unfortunate effect of eliciting my own arrangements of complex structures of syntax, not a moment to relax as I write them down, typing with fury, writing this post in nothing short of a hurry.
Also, rhyming. I began accidentally rhyming so much that I eventually just leaned into it.
Conventions, connections, they all help you win elections, but what do you do with power when it comes to the hour of your final ascension? Discretion is key when dealing with constituents, just say nothing at all in a way that makes them see sense, perhaps by spreading in a bit of French, keeping your real thoughts down on the back bench. Now Erinor, what was that for? Fancy qualifications are without equivocation a blessing, messing with the perception of those with the discretion to judge us, our obsession with experience protects us. Why wouldn't we seek out the best, surely they can keep up the work without a rest? Your Ministry is fine, it's alive and thriving, so why not take this as a sign before you go diving deep into the cesspool of the less full intellects of the insects and other filth that frequent our dear RMB, why not just sit back and let things be? Lean back darling Minister, revel in your station, be glad that with Auphelia, you've never missed her, list her as your number one supporter, a crackerjack reporter, her mind so keen you could barely afford her, and yet she'll stand by you in short order, yes sir.
My goodness, the breath control required for that bit nearly had me. Oh, to be young have proper lungs. Enjoy the unusual rhythmic stylings of Auphelia and see if you can't see how it all flows together.
Ah! How lovely! I don't have any bouts of lyricism for you, but how about I applaud you, laud you for your witticisms, today I'll let you go without my criticisms. I didn't quite care for the music of that show, there were high points but most were simply low. Seeing how they put the it all together with a visual was beyond the usual: the staging was decent at times struck by strokes of genius, at times it felt like they were simply stroking their own . . . genius. Helpless was how I felt seeing a song that I so reviled revitalised before my eyes, the choreography that I could see simply beyond my capacity to comprehend, glorious in every move, so far removed from the ballad I had imagined weak and pallid, undefined, only to find it nearly the best part of the show, but now I know, and onward I shall go, stopping before this post can go on and on like I tend to make, Poppy's worst tendencies mine to take.
Oh dear, not again . . . my writing is so easily influenced by what I have interacted with recently (which explains why it degrades after much time spent here). Tsk.
