Both sides in Iran have mostly been fighting around Isfahan, where the regime and CNS forces have been bitterly fighting to determine who controls the city, Azeri-Kurdish militia aligned with the CNS in the north have been fighting the regime as well, trying to retake Tabriz from the IRGC.

With major troop movements among close allies and new friends, President Clinton has decided to greenlight the movement of 5,000 troops to support the CNS alongside a detachment of 15 F-15s to remain under American Command over Iran.

In light of recent events, the Dutch government realizes that it needs to shore up and build up its military prowess and defense. So the ministry of defense announces that it is upping the defense budget for the year 1996 and for years beyond. The budget will increase to $8.2 billion, an increase from $7 billion the year before and from $6.5 billion two years before. This extra money will be used to get more equipment and weapons and to make sure that the current equipment is still in fighting shape.

Some of the extra money will be used to ramp up production of Dutch nuclear weapons and to test them. Progress is already being made but ths extra money will speed up things a bit and cut the timetable down to less than a year.

The news of the nuclear bombing of Russia reaches the American government in the early hours of the same morning. Within hours, the news is broken on national news networks, and President Clinton hosted a press briefing at 9 am that morning.

In his briefing, President Clinton has announced that the U.S. will be forming a Relief Network for affected Russians, which entails several things, which he goes on to explain. Asylum requests from Russia have been expedited, and will continue to be expedited for a period of 6 months. The U.S. government will establish a Relief Fund that the relief network can pull from, and have been granted $70 billion for now, until a new budget can be passed to grant further funding. With this relief network, flights have been greenlit, escorted by American Military Jets, will be able to land at various Russian airports to provide assistance services, as well as flights out of the country.

President Clinton also announced the intention of America to establish an international relief network, spearheaded by America, to provide international aide to affected Russians. He has called out to Seskeisau, Sablastanija, The Greater Hellenic Union, and Rhodesia et Nyasaland to establish similar networks with American assistance, and offers all the nations advisors to work closer with these nations for the relief network.

He also stated that the situation is still developing, and that facts are changing very quickly as more information is gained. He has put doubts of national media sources reporting certain facts right now, and states that he will host another press briefing in the afternoon when the situation becomes more clear as more information is gathered. He also mentioned that America stands ready to defend itself, and has authorized various troop movements, and naval movements into Alaska and the Bering Sea. The American Air Force is monitoring the airspace in the area.

The Procurement
Men dressed in tattered grey uniforms, old Soviet olive colored uniforms, and the latest rendition of the Baikal Black Ops Uniform, all wearing a piece of grey cloth around their arms, rifles, helmets or necks, would be seen organizing into groups of ten, before being given orders of Procurement by NCOs of the Seraya Armiya Narodnaya.

These procurement orders would be the basis of reconstruction within Novosibirsk itself, and signed off on by the General Staff in their headquarters within an old couple's barn on the outskirts of the city itself. The aforementioned men, alongside members of aligned civilian militia groups, would go door to door collecting small percentages of what would be deemed "excess" foodstuffs from willing donators.
These collected foodstuffs would then be transported back to the old barn, from which lines of people who had lost all but the clothes on their backs could accept what could be spared by the SAN. Percentages of non-perishable goods would be added to stockpile caches around the city, from which the Grey Army can ration as they need when and if their military rations run out.

Attempts to make contact with outside authority of the Russian Imperial Army in the fallout of the nuclear disaster and subsequent collapse would prove otherwise fruitless, with any direct lines of communication simply resulting in a demand of subjugation by a warlord who had taken power in the regions surrounding Novosibirsk.
